iStore (Publika/DM/JayaOne) have some accessories for iPhone 6/6+.
Good to see at least one person on this forum who went for HackInTheBox 😁

QUOTE(samurai1337 @ Oct 18 2014, 07:22 AM) RRP for 64GB ip6 going to be RM2789 right? That's the general guess right? QUOTE(slickz @ Oct 18 2014, 07:24 AM) it's about there la... 2749, 2789, Any idea where these figures came from? I was thinking it's more likely the 16GB will start at 2749, with the 64GB at 3149 and 128GB at 3549.

1 Club member, Maxis user for 18 years... I've never gotten an invite to buy anything lol I think the people who get the invites for the first XXX are probably the ones who are noisy on social media and not necessarily loyal customers/high bill customers. That said, I'm probably going to buy contract free

Actually if count ADAM/TIMECel that got bought over by Maxis then it's 20 years Not some big shot on social media... that's probably why I get so "nice" treatment haha...

If it (the iPhone 5 leather case) was genuine leather... that "some solution you normally use to clean other household stuff" was probably a bad idea...

QUOTE(kahjye @ Oct 23 2014, 01:15 PM) well..RM2699 topup another RM400 to get more than double storage why not? but comes to think when you`re paying like RM3K+ for a phone is To be fair... about 10-15 years ago, we used to pay almost the same amount of money for flagship phones... where the new feature was "white LED light" or "magnesium alloy casing"... talking about the 8850 era.

QUOTE(Dinghydoggy @ Oct 23 2014, 02:57 PM) Warranty is a concern though. But on second thought, the money I save from buying in the States could be spent on AppleCare, which gives me International Warranty for an extra two years. Just so you know, AppleCare+ (which is the only AppleCare available for iPhones) isn't recognized in Malaysia (and most 2nd/3rd world countries) - the service centers simply won't take your device if it's above the 1 year warranty period. From what I understand, it's most useful if you are in (or spend a lot of time) in North America. If you live (or spend a lot of time) in Europe, it's slightly less useful mainly because EU regulations require all electronic devices to provide a minimum of 2 years of warranty (so your 2 year AppleCare+ is basically 1 year only). I'm not 100% sure about AppleCare+ in Singapore, so it "might" still be worth getting if you don't mind heading down to SG for warranty claims, etc. This post has been edited by biatch0: Oct 23 2014, 03:25 PM

QUOTE(janson_kaniaz @ Oct 26 2014, 12:26 AM) given current USD - MYR conversion rate, i think 2399 - 2459 is the likely minimum pricing... Usually Apple products are "pegged" to a certain exchange rate (like MYR to USD at 3.3 a long time ago during Dr. M's time). If there's a change to the pegged value, all Apple branded products will be affected (cables, charging bricks, earpods, etc.)... but this change in pegged value rarely happens (and one did happen about a year back). With all this in mind, the original price of the 5S at launch will most likely be the launch price for the 6 (RM2399). This post has been edited by biatch0: Oct 26 2014, 03:13 AM

US/CA/JP are still the cheapest I think.
But if you include "travel costs" with the price then ya HK is "cheapest".

QUOTE(poi2005 @ Oct 30 2014, 11:34 PM) Why rubbish?? Expensive? (As usual, maxis = expensive)... Rubbish because they're still trying to force voice minutes and SMS down our throats. Give me a pure data (or heavy data/light voice/SMS) package with the same monthly commitments as their iValue plans and I'll gladly sign up. To get the same amount of data as my current SurfMore75, I'm supposed to give Maxis RM250/month (resulting in a nett increase of RM125/month or RM3000/2 years ) for just one of my lines? Thanks but no thanks This post has been edited by biatch0: Oct 30 2014, 11:46 PM

QUOTE(poi2005 @ Oct 30 2014, 11:51 PM) Is true of what u say, that's is the only way they can earn from customer. They know calls/sms is getting lesser, data usage is getting higher, that's y the ivalue plan has less data, they force customer to sign the contract and earn more as not all customer will spend the whole ivalue package. They know people are still willing to get from them at this early stages or even later days, unless no one sign up for ivalue plan (which i dont think will happen so soon) I'm obviously biased towards us heavy data users, but since our numbers are growing quickly (heavy data users), they're "technically" losing out because they aren't getting new contracts from this group (or a very low conversion rate). 10% of RM250 (assume 10% conversion for heavy data users signing up for the highest iValue contract of RM250) is RM25, VS a "reasonable" data contract, 50% of RM100 (assuming 30% conversion of heavy data users signing up for a good data package that doesn't exist right now) is RM50. Of course, these are all theoretical numbers which I'm pulling out of my bum (and may be way off)... but that's my opinion on things (feel free to disagree). I'm sure Maxis has some very good calculator punching people doing these things for them, which is why their plans remain like they are rather than how we'd like them to be.

QUOTE(zerko @ Nov 1 2014, 09:32 AM) Spot on. Compare with MacBook Air with 128gb SSD ! I'm an Apple fan with most of their products but In my opinion Pricing for their Phones are ridiculous. I don't agree with their pricing either... win some, lose some right? Interestingly, in Malaysia, Apple products are generally cheap (relative to original Apple US pricing) across the board compared with anywhere else in the world... except when it comes to iPhones Well, at least we aren't paying European prices right?

Contract prices aside (which I completely agree are steaming piles of crap), anyone who travels for work (not necessarily many Malaysians) is probably relatively happy with Apple prices in Malaysia compared to US (which is slightly off the currency exchange) sans iPhone. If you're talking about earning power, relative disposable income, and all that... I blame our government.

Just got off the phone with Maxis, apparently they are out of stock. So any orders placed now... basically you pay now but delivery dunno when Was just about to place order for a 128GB 6+ some more... that's what happens when you delay Guess I'll have to find some other source...

I should clarify... they said "The stock allocated for the Maxis Online Store is sold out". They didn't mention anything about stock for walk ins at Maxis centers on launch day - she advised me to try walking in as well.
