QUOTE(poi2005 @ Oct 30 2014, 11:51 PM) Is true of what u say, that's is the only way they can earn from customer. They know calls/sms is getting lesser, data usage is getting higher, that's y the ivalue plan has less data, they force customer to sign the contract and earn more as not all customer will spend the whole ivalue package. They know people are still willing to get from them at this early stages or even later days, unless no one sign up for ivalue plan (which i dont think will happen so soon) I'm obviously biased towards us heavy data users, but since our numbers are growing quickly (heavy data users), they're "technically" losing out because they aren't getting new contracts from this group (or a very low conversion rate). 10% of RM250 (assume 10% conversion for heavy data users signing up for the highest iValue contract of RM250) is RM25, VS a "reasonable" data contract, 50% of RM100 (assuming 30% conversion of heavy data users signing up for a good data package that doesn't exist right now) is RM50. Of course, these are all theoretical numbers which I'm pulling out of my bum (and may be way off)... but that's my opinion on things (feel free to disagree). I'm sure Maxis has some very good calculator punching people doing these things for them, which is why their plans remain like they are rather than how we'd like them to be. |

Bro, no matter how we calculate, TELCO at the end is the winner of the day. We'll see plan change when TELCO is losing money/customer (big numbers IMO), however in this country, don't expect too much of fair play/price, our consumer power is just too weak to deal with all these big guns company (supported by *ehem*, u know what I mean Anyway, enjoy the iphone and the plans we think is good our own This post has been edited by poi2005: Oct 31 2014, 12:11 AM |
