A lot of fellas turn off location services in order to prolong battery life. Has anyone tried their 6/6+ with and without location services switch on to see if there is a significant difference?

It does. I turn of my all my location services on Androids and it saves a lot of battery juice. Not sure on the ios though as I leave it on but im quite sure it does too.

Has anyone tried their 6/6+ with and without location services switch on to see if there is a significant difference? The fact that it uses GPS now is very customizable. I used to turn off but now apps are tightly controlled when they are allowed to use GPS in iOS 8. So I never set any policy to turn off for all apps as they are not used all the time anyway already.

And iOS manages whether or not the apps use location services automatically?

Nowadays, all apps requires a lot of access like phonebook, contacts, FB, location etc even though its just a silly game. These apps developers are really pushing the boundaries of personal information protection.

I think it's very stupid to turn off location services. If you turn it off, you cannot use iCloud to find your iPhone if it's lost. P.S. I've been reading the past few pages of this thread, and I SMH only at all the misinformation regarding imported or CDMA iPhones. Good thing it's cleared up now though. P.P.S. I've made a chart.
