I've bought Infuse when it was first released, never regretted it. It's the most ideal way of watching videos on iOS since you don't have to go through iTunes. I use iFunbox to transfer videos directly into Infuse. Not to mention Infuse uses hardware acceleration to play your videos so you don't burn through your battery like VLC does (VLC uses software acceleration).

You can contact Firecore and request their support. There are many factors involved in slow wifi speeds, could be your HDD, could be the router or your device.

And yes, you can use iFunbox to bypass iTunes (but you still need iTunes installed for the drivers) and copy files directly into Infuse (and also other apps). That's how I manually backup my save games and transfer between devices.

The Pro version allows more video formats, Dolby and DTS support.

Can't install anything eh. Best way to transfer without installing anything is via wifi. Infuse does that, no problem.
