JOHOR BARU: Young Malaysians are being declared bankrupt because they spend more than they earn, says Minister in the Prime Minister’s Department Nancy Shukri (pic).

She said there were nearly 22,000 cases last year, an increase from about 13,200 in 2007.

Within the first six months of this year, more than 12,300 young Malaysians had been declared bankrupt. They include 3,680 women.

“On the average, 70.22% of the cases are men,” said Nancy, adding that most of them have outstanding debts of RM30,000 or more and could not afford to settle their dues.

She said the high bankruptcy rate among Malaysians at a young age mainly resulted from defaulting on instalment payments on car, housing and personal loans.

Nancy said there had been celebrities who were also declared bankrupt but most of them declined to seek assistance from the Insolvency Department.

She added that aside from the department, those who have problems managing their finances could seek advice from the Credit Counselling and Debt Management Agency.

good lesser pool of buyers, and also existing pool of buyers aware of this and pause buying, those see the market different view also stop buying in view of super inflation next year, with no demands around, as usual investors will call their won price, and try to fortified with valuers, by paying under table money like RM1k to get the valuation report on higher price, bank officers chasing for commission will tutup mata and say loan approved based on valuers

I am not joking ponder on the comparison we made, message is clear, sell while you can, there should no stubborn investors to hold long but no long term enough .. in a run down market

Those pool of bankrupt youngster cant even pay 30k loan. Talk about buying the properties from us??? Kurang kurang also 500k and above, they take what LJ to buy? Our target are not those low quality group.

if no one buy, then good lor. We can rent. Bbw got a pama house to live doesnt mean that others also same fate like u. They need to rent unless they really want to stay under the bridge.

why the buyer wants to buy from the bank manager? Cannot wait meh? For sure the price ll goes down n the bank manager ll knee down to beg the buyers to buy one with another 30% discount.....or the bank manager is laughing to the bank now????

Aiya that bank manager just wanna make BBW happy n don't want hurt his feeling...

What the manager not mention is he already make 150% profit and going to upgrade soon...

If the bank manager talk with us the version will be I sell my property slightly below agent market price which I still make 150% profit, and that sxhai still ngong ngong think got dead chicken. I don't mind sell a bit low coz I need the profit to upgrade for a better dead chicken tongue.gif

Beabrbear so naive , ngong ngong believe what people said without self analysis hahaha

Every single investors hav their own profit objective targets...... Some feels ok to earn 50k-60k for that transaction, some wants to earn 100k-120k on tat transaction, some wants even more...... and many many more factors also influence the decision making, such as purchasing price, financial back ground, or some other external factors and etc..... whistling.gif
