This phone looks quite nice to me..better than the N70 but will not give the N80 up for this though...lol...good specs, the Carl Zeiss optics does surprise.Never thought that Nokia will put those optics in this phone though...

the features just blows me away... guess the price wud be sky high...
N80, N73, N93... omg! nokia wanna solidify its world no.1 title again! and this time, the fons are so superb! NOT CRAPPY FONS ANYMORE! though the design not as classy as N70 or N80 (lack the chrome plating), but it is slim and light! the features are really good with this kind of size! i think it wud hit 3k+ upon release. altho i luv it, but i think i cant afford the price...better stick back to K800i (and oso hope this fon's price wud not be too overwhelming!) N71...N72..N73...N74... and 6 more different models to go b4 N80.  They willl make sure u will like ONE of the N series.. Luckily for now i dont like N73, its plain looking. N70 looks better, sexier with the curves.. and for N93, no no..dont like.. It means i can save some money... BUT N72...    I LOVE IT. it has all the function of N70 but it comes with something extra ... ..... STYLE.. |

Seems like this one is far away from N93... i mean the features.
All its function is similiar with N90 except N90 wins the screen resolution and lose the camera pixels. Agree with Rayz, N70 looks better than this one. But the features... |

Well, for me, the Nseries design had been really attractive so far but this N73 design does go back to those that are simple....Anyway, the camera is so cool with carl zeiss lense...so anyone knows whether this phone here has vibra?well,personally i dont like that camera cover...looks so weird there..

it needs wi-fi now.. and just hope the battery last..=P but with all those pixels...wouldn't it be slower when taking pictures.. i'm having lag problems when taking pic even with a 2.0mp n70... imagine 3.2...... |

Both phones run one and the same Symbian 9.1, S60 3d Edition. The strength of the N73 is similarity to Nokia 3250, Nokia N91 hardware wise and presence of a CPU working at 314 Mhz on-board, while Nokia N80 is powered by an out-of-date CPU type, providing only 214 Mhz. Therefore those who are not interested in WiFi connectivity options should peer at this solution, furthermore the device houses two stereospeakers on its upper rim. <a faster processor!!!> The model will hit the stores in August without any delays, in fact, all current Nseries handsets did - the platform is well-studied, so there are no obstacles left to release it on time. though N73 is functionally more powerful, K800i is prettier and classier. the cam cover though K800i more stylish, but it's more protruding and bulging compared to the almost flat cam cover of N73. yet, i love the huge screen of N73!!!

i don't know much about vibration spoiling the lense, but i think carl zeiss lense and normal lense the difference is just CZ lense is glass whereas normal lense is plastic.
IMO CZ lense is just a marketing ploy. |

i doubt the form factor influences the price ... n80 is for business, while the n73 is focused on lifestyle and casual photography.and looking at nokia pricing of the n series, the higher the model number, the more expensive the price.. tentative prices of the n73 is around 450-500usd |

confirmed out as of today. was in pyramid juz now....loking for my N80..which price is quite decent at RM2450...
the seller told me dat today...he will be receiving a few sets on N73..priced @ RM2300....cant remember avaxx or zitron...but shudnt be any differenc there.. it IS cheaper than the N880....but coz of the WIFI..guess i still wud go for the N8-0 instead... |

i checked out the phone in the shop just now... pretty nice, i like the fact that it's a candybar... it's also got a nice large screen... but what to do, i've bought an n80... heheh... also bought myself a panasonic lumix fz7 last week so i don't need the camera functions of the n73 that much.... sticking with my n80 for another 1 1/2 years, at least...

I believe there's already a comparison between k800 and N93 in gsmarena.com
Verdict : N93 loses in terms of photo quality. Hard to believe but its true. Update : here u go http://www.gsmarena.com/nokia_n93_photo-review-100.php I saw the N73 yesterday at Midvalley Megamall. First impression is that the keypad is way too tiny and cramped together. If I were to compare the physical aspects of it, I think k800 has a slight edge over it. The k800 just looks better IMO. haaa..... M-R forum users posted up a mocha colour edition besides the 2 official colour combinations. very nice colour!!!
at first, i think that N73 was damn ugly... but after seeing the vids and the pics by the users of the fon, omg... the fon actually looks classy and nice!!! wat's more... it's bulged with functionality... arghhhhh........... my K800i dream is gone! |

According to gsmarena.com, the N73 do have vibration, same as the N93.. Maybe N90 is the first Nokia Carl Zeiss, scared the vibration would spoilt the fragile lens.. After a year Nokia has improved hence vibration is backed again!

Well, i think the N92 is definitely not launched by Nokia yet..so i doubt he will have stock in hand for the N92 unless they are prototype..Besides, i truly doubt he will have them at 2k..

Very depend on the wi-fi provider/wi-fi transmitter at the area..
Some wi-fi location giving free for use..Some is subscription service, so u hv to pay.. likes TM HotSpot and AirZed are examples u need to pay for the service.. Starbuck using TimeCel wi-fi give u free to use.. And also, some office/house may use wi-fi at their place and if they didnt set password on their wi-fi, then you may connect on to it FREE.. |

i just playing wth the phone,just went to phone shop!!
for me the phone is prefect,but lack of wifi.. kinda sad to hear that .. @@" and i think the phone more clear than n80.. anyone on my side ? |

Very good specs...Considering it between this and K800 still.

Why N73 doesnt has nice colour combo... like N91 and N80 etc... N73 colours are juz...
But still, the overall specs are too nice to resist, will get it when its price drops till RM1k~1.3k (12months to go?). I never buy phones at the first few months they release, cuz not rich enough... Will get a new phone at September or October then start collect money for N73, then my fund raises, its price drops, at the point my fund = its price, i'll get it. |

OI just want to know how about the VIDEO quality? I used N70 and very happy with the video. Now I changed to N80 and the video SUCKS! I hope that someone can confirm or give sample that N73 video recording is as good as N70. I really hope so. (I'm trying not to buy the expensive N93). Video like N70 is enough!)

Please buy original because it a lot of problems for those set !!! I just came back from Nokia Centre to upgrate my Nokia N91 software and guess the reception told me...Nokia N73 is a problem phone !!!! Hehehe...... Everyday must people return to them.... Hang always !!! |

at 1st also i almost buy n80 but then i see the screen so small and have to use kaypad to suft net... so troblesome for me... then the batt goes down fast liau when suff to long..
in the end i just bought n73, even though no wifi the camera rocks! hahaha, then got dual speakers somemore...hehehehe i'm enjoying it since the day i bought it |

Do note that all S60 3rd Edition devices have one inherent problem. The sms sending process gets slower and slower with usage. In some instances, after pressing the send button, the phone gets "stalled" for about 1 min during which u can't do anything with it. The only solution so far now is reseting the phone *#7370# but the problem recurs eventually. I've already reseted my N80 once. I'm just holding out for the next firmware release, and if it still doesn't resolve this issue, I'm definitely selling my N80. No more Nokia's for me. If u think about it, paying RM 2.6K and getting a phone with these problems is totally unacceptable.

Anyway, i personally find the N73 a tad "ugly". Its gives me the feeling of "big head, small body"..u get what i mean. I'll stick with the N80 for the time being. The screen is just too good to miss. |

Hmm..having said all that, I think i'm gonna take a good look at the phone when i get to the shops. If i like the feel, I think I might actually sell away the N80. I like snapping photos and so far the N80 has been a huge dissapointment..well, for me at least. When taking macro pics, i have to make sure I'm at a correct distance.. to close or far, the shots end up blurry. Duh, its getting a bit tiresome already

Wow! already 21 pages for N73? Nice! Good to know there's a few early adopters here besides me.
Just got mine two weekends ago.With regards to the audio quality, it loses out to K750i. Even my K700i sounds overall clearer + richer. N73 tends to have slight noise and distortion when u crank the volume up but it's acceptable and within my tolerance. Just that i'm too used to SE's audio quality. Besides that, everything else is awesome! Menu navigation is fast/smooth as compared to the former S60v2 or older Symbian OSes. I love shooting. Pic shots are good. (probably can even beat Canon's 350D after rescaled to 4R...pun intended...hahaha) I love the back lens slider. It feels solid whenever u open/close it. Oooh...the rubbery feel I find the keypad a little too small and crampy for my liking but typing SMS on it is smoother compared to K700i. Another wonderful thing is the battery. It can last me 3 full days without recharging + 3G activated! (average 15~20 calls/sms per day, few video&pic shots, light 3G surfing and a couple of apps/games. The 1100 mAh batt supposedly the same used for Nokia Communicator series. No wonder the batt performance is superb! Heard this from the guy who sold me this baby. For me, phone is 'nothing' without a good batt. Btw, N80 sux at this. Actually I was also in dilemma earlier deciding between this phone and N80/K800i. Well, luckily i made the right choice. Anyway, it's up to what you want in a phone. Guess this serves my purpose. A 'smart-phone' for a 'smart-buyer' |

Those of u who is using the N73. Take a look at the photos u took from this phone carefully. I just noticed that on mine, the top and bottom left of the photos are considerably "blurrer" than the rest of the picture. Good thing i bought a Zitron set and had it replaced when i brought it back to the shop. Now my replaced set has no such problem.

I am a proud owner of N73 for a week now. Untill now there isnt much of a problem on the phone nor did i find it lagging. Either that or i somehow expected it since its a smart phone and it takes longer to load a program. The Picture quality is near perfect. admitaly you cant really take very very good pix. but this camera is near perfect.
The speaker is not bad. its dual speaker and top side. Although its not as loud as i like it though. I got a screen protector for it for RM 10 at a pasar malam in SS2 yesterday. Currently looking into buying one of those lady like pouch to store the phone. Although it might look a bit gay, i am not risking scratches for the phone. Have you guyz found any wallpaper or theme for it? The N73 theme given is not bad, but i am looking for something a bit more abstract and light. |

Oh yeah the max capacity for the phone memory is it 1GB or 2GB? Some people say 1GB only but the manual say 2GB. Can we use the N73 to surf net too like N80? I saw a web browser there lah, havent try cause my sim card is 6 years old and cant use 3G. Must change 1st...

Well, the quality of the video calls are always crappy. Sorta like watching a badly encoded VCD. Maybe he's expecting quality like those pictures that they used to promote video/3G calls?

HI, i brought it to the nokia centre this afternoon. Waited 2 hrs. Then, they said no antivirus. Apparently, the earlier one which was on my phone must have been from the distributor. Also only one game (my earlier one had two). Sigh.....Right after I got my phone, the screen went blank again. The girl played around with my phone, but since she didn't encounter any probs, she said my phone is ok. I hope it is....*keeping fingers crossed*
