QUOTE(glo @ Jul 22 2006, 11:50 PM)
nah, i doubt it. the n73 will most probably be positioned lower than the n80.
hopefully, less than rm2k for an ap set.. *keeps fingers crossed*
*
Why cheaper than N80? Because it's not a slider phone? Because it doesn't have wifi? But this one camera got Carl Zeiss lens and Autofocus wor...but i also hope it's not that expensive
QUOTE(andrewL @ Jul 23 2006, 12:11 AM)
if the price is good i'll opt for this rather than k800
*
K800 isn't that bad, but the size sweat.gif sweat.gif I'm all the while SE supporter, but this time I guess I have to say N73 looks nicer at least

The exepected cost should be 400euros, so my estimates should be around 1800 - 2k.Hopefully...

1.8-2k is acceptable.
However I think it will be slightly more than that. (probably 2.2k as said by amunriel)

Yeaps.. sure it is usable in Malaysia. But need to send back to singapore for warranty just incase the phones is faulty! (which is unlikely to happen for new hp nowadays)  rclxms.gif

Unlikely to happen? I would rather not to take any risk. thumbup.gif

Appears to be fishy
1. He's a "new" member, and his first and only post is about selling N73
2. Not much information about the sale. Not sure whether zitron is already distributing the phone or not. Did went to their website and check but it's now under construction lol.

I will wait

N73 is quite thick actually, and I don't really like the back cover.

I nullify this statement as I think N73 doesn't look as nice as I perceived.

Still considering my options now laugh.gif

wifi means wireless internet.

As long as there's access point you can enjoy broadband internet surfing with your mobile set already.

wifi means WIRELESS FIDELITY. heh.

Thanks for stating the obvious.

I was explaining in layman term instead of typing the full name of wifi smile.gif

QUOTE(europology @ Aug 4 2006, 10:03 PM)
use gprs or 3G or edge to connect to internet la
*
The difference is, you've to pay approx hundred for a month or 1 cent per KB if you use 3G/Edge

You pay nothing extra if you connect to wifi.

Very good specs...Considering it between this and K800 still.

But the back side of the phone looks very plasticky, I haven't tried holding it yet though.

laugh.gif k800 dun have s60 cannot compare with n73 la.. i mean the UI.. juz compare the cam la.. laugh.gif

While you can install all the funky stuff on your S60 set, it could be a bad thing as well.

1. Smartphones are generally slower than normal mobile phones, especially when too much applications are installed.
2. Battery consumption is relatively higher as smartphones requires more processing power.
3. Practicality is an issue. How many people need to use PDF viewer and video player on a 2-inch screen anyway? To me, most probably it's something that NICE TO HAVE but not necessary a MUST HAVE.

first two is a non issue,in my case since even the 3230's supposedly weak battery has never died on me before.

and the third, well, normal phones can do that as well smile.gif (talking bout videos...im not too sure about pdf huh.gif ...)

btw,not all non s60 phones are fast tongue.gif
the nokia 6101,for example,is slooowwwww.... shocking.gif  shakehead.gif  doh.gif

for a s40 phone,thats bad.. laugh.gif

Sounds so fanboyish to me...ah nvm smile.gif

but that phone has no s60 tongue.gif

It seems like many of your posts are really pro-S60, and it's a major point for you when you compare different phones.

I'm okay with it. But the point is, not all people really need it doh.gif There's no point paying for something and ended up not utilising it. As I said before, how many people would choose to open .DOC and .PDF document in a 2-inch screen when 17" monitor computer is everywhere nowadays? (I'm not saying that's all a Symbian phone can do, just merely giving an example)

To those who don't really need it, it might be a burden as well, as welwitchia mentioned, some models are suffering slow speed when sending SMS and you've to admit that it's not stable as OS-less handsets.

So IMO it depends on personal preference. For you S60 maybe is a great advantage but maybe for some, they purposely don't want to buy NOkia handsets just because of S60

Just my 2 cents. No sarcasm attempted smile.gif

^ The N80 has only one speaker. I thought the N73 has 3 speakers? 3D ringtones too tongue.gif

Anyway, i personally find the N73 a tad "ugly". Its gives me the feeling of "big head, small body"..u get what i mean.

I'll stick with the N80 for the time being. The screen is just too good to miss.

Agree, the screen-keypad ratio kinda reminds me of nk3230 or k800. A common problem when a candy bar phone needs to have big screen.

But my main problem is actually the back side which looks really plasticky (especially the red colour one)
