Dell has just announced the Inspiron 14 7000 Series, which is a new high performance 14″ laptop that was specially designed and developed for youths. Youths might not have that much disposable income, but their parents who care for them might have more than enough money to send in their direction.
this laptop comes with the processor Intel Core i7-4710HQ, graphics of Nvidia Geforce GTX 850M and 8GB of RAM. It also has the display screen size 14-inch Full-HD IPS on Windows 8.1 operating system genuine.

I've been received this laptop and used it almost 2 weeks until now. So, I would share my review about what I've found on this laptop.

But first, forgive me if there's anything lack of information in my review...this is my first time writing a review about laptop..

Attached Image Attached Image

Appearance
for me, the design looks simple but still good and attractive.. although it's more bulky than the previous Inspiron 14 7437.
It's weight is 2.23 kg as stated on Dell's website.

As from side view, there's media card reader and power-status light (front), two USB 3.0, one USB 2.0, HDMI port, headset port, Optical drive,
network port and security-cable port.

for surface and keyboard panel, it uses plastic material and also something feels like soft-rubber material (i guess it is fingerprint magnet?).
oil smudge and fingerprint could stick on it. somehow, you can just clean it with any glass cleaning cloth with applied of isopropyl alcohol.

the colour display was good. screen brightness also good, quite bright for me..

-sound produce seems good and loud too, since it has MaxxAudio® Pro built-in. design of speakers also not bad, with red dot design.
but it seems quite easy to trap dust on it. need to use brush to remove the dust anyway..

user posted image

-it has backlit keyboard. the keyboard is seems just okay to type. somehow, someone with hardcore-harsh typer must be careful to use it.
you must not harshly-typed on it.

user posted imageuser posted image

-This is how the backside looks like. unfortunately, this laptop does NOT have either m.2 sata slot or mSATA slot for SSD though..

user posted image

Battery
-for normal usage (browsing, play music and video, ms office), it can stands around 4hr 30 min to 5 hr

-the battery is actually removable..somehow, specs on Dell website says the battery is integrated..
i don't know why, but whatever. it's better to be removable anyway..

- this laptop also has 1TB 5400rpm hard disk with 8Gb sshd cache. For me, speed still like a normal HDD.
boot time sometimes quick, sometimes not so quick

Graphics benchmark: 3DMark (Fire Strike, Cloud Gate, Ice Storm)

user posted imageuser posted image

Maxon Cinebench R15

user posted image

-sadly, the graphic is not GDDR5, but GDDR3 instead..and yes, there's only small difference in performance between GDDR3 vs GDDR5, but still, GDDR5 runs better than GDDR3 though..most of latest laptop/graphic uses GDDR5, so there's a little downside of this laptop..

Temperature
-when stressed with Furmark, both chips produce for 67-68'C for GPU and 78'C for CPU.
-when idle, CPU core are around 50'C and GPU around 40'C (tested in my room temperature, around 27-29'C)

user posted image

-This is the highest temperature recorded when I play Crysis 3

for 1920x1080 (1080p) setting, you can see my post below
https://forum.lowyat.net/index.php?act=ST&f...0#entry70808406

Conclusion:

The downsides of this laptop that I found is:
-keyboard not suitable for hardcore/harsh typer
-no mSATA/m.2 sata slot for SSD
-HDD 5400rpm quite slow for me
-Graphic chips only GDDR3, not GDDR5
-Laptop gets maximum 78'C, which is quite hot

for overall, I really satisfied with this laptop..one of the good laptop price with one of best CPU, paired with good graphics.
of course, there's always a better laptop to choose for your needs and your budget..my opinion could be different from yours..

Thanks for the views...any comments are welcome biggrin.gif

Thank you for the review and the loads of pictures included, was helpful indeed.
I was struggling to decide between this one and a MacBook. Hoping to find a review for the latter one as well.

well, not sure about that...didn't test to weight this laptop yet..
but this laptop's weight with battery is 2.23kg as stated on Dell's website..
without battery, should be less than that.. hmm.gif

EDIT: I found on Dell's reference guide, show that battery's max weight is 0.38 kg..
so, this laptop's weight should be ~1.85kg without battery.. smile.gif

yes, around 4.30 to 5 hours with continuous surfing..
for heavy usage (games or software editing like AutoCAD ), didn't try it yet cause I always use power adapter instead..
I'm not kind of using battery too much..that's why removable battery option is best for me.. smile.gif

it should be upgradable..this laptop has max support up to 16Gb..
so, adding 4Gb more should be no problem.. smile.gif

but, you should check either your laptop have 2x2Gb ram or 1x4Gb ram slotted inside..
you can check using this software..HWiNFO
look at "memory modules" section..

Just made my purchase last wednesday. And, yes. Actually you could do some little upgrades or extras like adding rams. Just go to online chat with dell staff & they will help you.

For me, i didn't need the 16gb ram cos i'm using this laptop for multimedia purpose, more on movies & music editing. Maybe just some facebook game & old classic games like heroes of might & magic.

But, i did add an option that is not available if you customise it using dell site without assistance. I added an extra recovery discs, which cost me just RM2.00. Well, i do format my laptop myself before use & do a ghost image backup for easier & faster reinstallation next time, should anything happens.

Hope this helps for anyone who like to add some upgrades.

im thinking of using this laptop for video editing and lightroom photo editing...Is it good for the job? which video editing software do you use? thought the 5400rpm HDD will slow things down.

Hi, as a laptop, it should be no problem with the quadcore i7 and 8G ram. With ips screen will ease your work on the road. However, if you station in an area, an external ips monitor will be better. For photo editing, HDD may not be a problem, but video I'm not sure. Since it has a optical CD rom, you can change it into SSD with caddy case.

I'm also planning to buy this for photo editing, with the upsell of Lightroom for only 200+ RM, it is worth at this price range. thumbup.gif
Acer V Nitro may be more powerful but I do not need GTX860M (better suit for gaming), I use the budget to purchase the ori lightroom. wink.gif

How many years of warranty you selected when purchasing this laptop?

I'm considering whether to get the DellProSupport with Next Business Day on site support for 3 years or 4 years...difference of RM352...

will SSD in a caddy case still deliver the same performance as those laptop with SSD? i will be able to install windows in caddy-cased SSD rite?
*
it deliver the same performance even in caddy case..you will now feel a difference between ssd in caddy case or without it...yes, u will be able to install ssd in caddy case, just like you are able to install windows in a normal portable harddisk that function through an usb cable..but of course those usb cable will be way slower..

no worries about this laptop..i'm writing this replay using this new inspiron 14, which arrive yesterday..lol

How many years of warranty you selected when purchasing this laptop?

I'm considering whether to get the DellProSupport with Next Business Day on site support for 3 years or 4 years...difference of RM352...
*
I'd choose 2 years warranty only..If you have enough extra money, recommended to get 3 or 4 years.. smile.gif

You must be havin a great time using it. Does it gets hot and gives loud fan noise while you let it run graphic intensive tasks?

how is the 1tb 5400rpm hard disk performing so far? fast enough?

This laptop can support 9.5mm caddy case...one of the forumer here already tried it and it fits well.. biggrin.gif

I bought the items for that as well biggrin.gif but want to ask if it's worth it to setup Intel Rapid Storage Technology with Crucial MX100 SSD in caddy case? Feels like I'm wasting the 8GB cache and the SSD space especially if I use the max 64GB for caching yawn.gif

QUOTE(cynical66 @ Nov 14 2014, 04:33 AM)

*
But is the 16GB RAM worth it? Was thinking of future-proofing it when I need the RAM for intensive media editing soon.

QUOTE(genocide_rfq @ Nov 14 2014, 04:51 PM)
Hai,
I would like to buy gaming laptop and quite interest in all suggestion that you provide ,but is it available to play for a long run? cos previously i'm using compact laptop and burn out  sweat.gif , not hardcore gamer but still very likely to play high graphic games.
*
This is GTX 850M tho, it can only barely support ultra on most recent games. Definitely good for now, but not future-proof, even if u decide to overclock the GPU.

QUOTE(kserby @ Nov 27 2014, 05:54 AM)

*
No, it can't change color, it's only white

I used EVGA precision to check its fan profile, it starts to get noisy when the fan reaches 60%. And tbh, with the 8GB SSD cache, the boot time is comparable to a medium-low-end SSD.

And an extra question: have anyone had issues with this laptop already? I have this laptop with the RM3199 specs in red, and after two months, prolonged gaming (Asphalt 8 for only two hours) can cause the keyboard and touchpad to lag or not register input at all!

from what I see here, the IPS model is back again. Dell's been changing the specs a lot, there was a time when the RM3.2k model disappeared with IPS and SSHD. Seems like some weird thing going on.

Call their Tech Support: they will teach you how to do a system checkup. during that system checkup, you will notice the temperatures, and they can come up with a solution. Generally nothing must go above 80 Celsius as a common rule. They have been helpful with me when I had keyboard issues.

Ehm, sorry for disturb. Mind i ask something bout Dell Inspiron 14 7000 series.
For i7 have two price one is Inspiron 14 7000 Series
RM 3,199 and another one Inspiron 14 7000 Series
RM 2,999.

different display between two are RM 3199 set 14.0 inch LED Backlit Anti Glare Display with IPS and FHD resolution (1920 x 1080) and RM 2999 set 14.0 inch LED Backlit Display with Anti Glare and HD resolution (1366 x 768).

Now for the set RM 2999, got free Free Alienware TactX Mouse worth RM 229 . but for RM 3199, no free Alienware TactX Mouse.

So which one worth to buy. display more worth or the set with free mouse more worth? Sorry for the sillly question but curious

And i try ask the online customer service, they say cant help upgrade the ram cause fix d. but able to get recovery disc which charge RM 2.

IMHO, what is your usage? If playing game then go for non-ips with tacx mouse; If for photo editing take ips.

If nothing specific, then depend on you. For me, I will take IPS because buy a mouse is easier to buy a display. smile.gif

Initial launch, they gave Hybrid HD and upsell Lightroom 5, more worth. But I miss the train. cry.gif

Thank for your opinion. This morning, got the solution d. I also think that display is more hard than get a mouse. Display, once buy, it fix d. Mouse ruin d still can replace. Then mouse can buy anytime eventhough nid pay. Tyvm again n have a nice day.

Hi,guys...
Just tried installing a second HDD using the 9.5 mm laptop caddy, but it didn't work. BIOS recognizes the HDD,but once i boot up the OS,i can't see it in My Computer or under the Disk Manager.
Can somebody confirm a successful installation of the 2nd HDD using a laptop caddy? If yes,i would appreciate the steps on how to do it.

backlight keyboard. if the F10 key doesn't have the backlight logo, i'm afraid to say urs is not the backlight model. But since ALL 14" 7000 series model have backlight, r u sure u r not confusing the 15" 7000 series with this?

BIOS said it's AHCI, RAID or Legacy mode? and the hard drive isn't plug and play: they require a format (+ the company SSD software, if any) before use. check the box or the provided manual for the SSD or HDD

I have been using Insprion 7447.
One thing I was disappointed about this product. That is the Power LED status. When the battery is fully charged - With the LED does not light no Power LED lights, I do not know my computer is in sleep or standby state.
Or when I shut down the computer also does not signal that the computer is turned off or not.

I contacted Dell support where I live. And was told that it was designed that way. I am very disappointed about this

I think they should make an update on the indicator light
where :
on sleep it blinks
fully charged longer blinks
so on and so forth
since there is only one indicator LED

Hi, can any owner of this laptop check the exact IPS screen model for this laptop?

Device Manager>Monitors>[right click, select properties]>Events

It should be the string right after "Device DISPLAY/"

they are smart: there is nothing on events whatsoever. must be a move by dell so that rivals can't figure out what is their monitor.

That's funny. All Malaysian models comes with backlight. Quick guide will definitely say optional coz it's an international quick guide, hence some countries may not have it. Now, checking the exact model, i'm unsure.

they won't do it anymore apparently. but from what i know, it's still under warranty if u change the HDD or RAM. (unless u end up causing problems after the change) Specialty of Dell warranty.

Thanks for the thread!!

Any idea if this latest Lenovo Y40 is better than this Dell 7447?

http://www.lowyat.net/2015/01/new-lenovo-y...e-i7-processor/
*
specs of Lenovo seems like it has a lower graphics card compared to the Dell (but DDR5 memory bro) and lower power CPU
But this will of course translate into lower battery usage. (look at Lenovo processor: xxxxU VS xxxxM) Only problem with me is the monitor which is non-IPS, which will turn into a bit of hassle when i show friends how to do certain work.

but put that out of the equation, the functional design (side vents unlike bottom Dell vents) of the Lenovo and good choice of processor puts Lenovo a bit ahead.

I bought from Cyntrix, and yes, this is official registered dell warranty if Cyntrix says so...
i called dell to check and have the 1yr warranty.

Hi, wanna ask if any owner having light leaking out from the bottom of the screen when it's totally in black color? The moment i start up this laptop, when it shows Dell logo, i can see clearly there are at least 2 white light leaking from the bottom. It happens only in black screen. Is this normal?

nope, it doesn't void the warranty as listed under Dell: u can swap the HDD back if it does anyways.

Thanks for your reply. It's 7447. I7, 1920x1280 IPS that one, without the backlight for keyboard (but unexpected "backlight" at the screen bottom and right, hahaha)

Checked the warranty, this is originated from Thailand, not Malaysia version.

Searched online no such case for 7447. Only some cases for 7437 in other countries.

I got it from Cyntrix tech. Not sure about the warranty, asked them, but probably they were too busy and overlooked my question. Didn't ask any further.

So far have not seen any review same case as mine.

All right lads, I am buying this lappy.

There's really one thing bothering me now.

Any wifi issues with this? (Intel® Dual Band Wireless-AC 3160)

Too common now, Dell and wifi issues berpisah tiada, Intel wifi card it is.

Hope to see reply on this by honest enthusiast and owners, not traders.

Thanks

Hi, is the cover smooth plastic or is it rubbery type of material that will melt after few years?

Should I go for this or Alienware 13?
Need a laptop that has good cooling because I'm using it for video editing and gaming (Starcraft, Shogun 2, FPS games)
Is the Inspirion good enough already?
Thank you

Since you own one, is the cover lid surface material made of hard glossy plastic or is it the soft type of plastic that fells rubbery and can peel off and melt after some time?

Hello guys! New member here. I am going to a uni soon and i need to choose between two lappies. One is the Inspiron 7447 and the other is the Asus X550. The specs are as follows.

Asus X550 SP

(With NVIDIA Dedicated Graphics)

Core™ i7-4710HQ 2.5GHz

8GB

240GB SSD

4GB NVIDIA® GeForce GTX 850

15.6” FHD

Inspiron 7447

(With NVIDIA Dedicated Graphics)

Core™ i7-4710HQ 2.5GHz

8GB

1TB + 8GB SSHD

4GB NVIDIA® GeForce GTX 850M

14.0” FHD

These are the two lappies i am considering. Both are at the same price which is at 3K++. Money is not a problem so i just want to know which one is better for everyday computing tasks and some light gaming. Thanks in advance Guys! Cheers!

Dell customer support is second to none. If anything goes wrong they will send someone to you to fix it. Reliability? Subjective matter. My previous Dell desktop survived 9 years of work and play. In the end, it was the hard disk that gave up.....nothing else. Personally, dell may not give the best bang for buck in terms of features but it is peace of mind.

Just managed to get 1 unit before GST hits us.

Overall, i am quite satisfied with its IPS screen quality, build quality and also the matte rubbery surface.

The only con is the fan spins up in high speed when playing 3D games like CS:Source, CS:Go... laugh.gif

-This is the highest temperature recorded when I play Crysis 3

Plan to put in a SSD to this laptop. But not sure which one the easier to do myself? Took out 1TB HDD slot (how about warranty?) or using 9.5mm caddy case? Mine is DOS non-IPS HD.

My unit does not have this problem.

I have used the left port to charge my phone and tablet, I did not see the problem as you described.

It is better to send your unit for repair.

No issue so far. Only randomly got blue screen before realise that I have not install nvidia driver. tongue.gif
Type of RAM?
No extra slot. Either swap HDD to SSD or put SSD at HDD and put HDD at optical drive slot.

fan is spinning all the time but it's verry quiet, you can't hear it unless you go with your ear 5cm in front of the fangrill. With 100% CPU load you cant hear the fan either but you hear the airflow sound which is verry nice low herz sound. The fan itself really don't do wierd squeeze or other high frequenzy noise. Besides the speakers are really outstandig, it has really base, it is a verry clear sound and verry loud. The Dell 7447 Pandora sound pulverise the sound of a Asus Rog G55-VW (until now the Asus Rog G55-VW was my personal reference for laptops max 15.6inch.

Most important, it is upgradeable to 16 GB (2x8GB) 2133Mhz.
I am running Kingston HyperX Impact Black 16GB Kit (2x8GB) 2133MHz DDR3L SODIMM 1.35V (HX321LS11IBK2/16),
Timings CL-11 tRCD-12 tRP-13 tRAS-35 CR-2 tRFC-278
The HyperX Kit is verry stable, benchmarks provide always a verry verry similar score, so well quality Ram. Attached is a Screenshot from 8GB original 1600 vs 16GB HyperX 2133
Maybe the Corsair Venegance Performance 16GB Kit (2x8GB) 2133 Mhz DDR3L SODIMM 1.35V fits as well,

I would say No, not more than other mat black surfaces. My wife and me have 4 Laptops, all are the same if you look at the fingerprints. This Laptop is less fingerprint magnet than a glossy laptop but more fingerprint magnet than a aluminium laptop (apple pro book).

In the end, I was looking since ages (5 years) for a 14 inch laptop with power, discrete grafik, dvd, backlight keyboard and 5 hour stamina if surfing through the www. I found it.
Be careful to choose the right Dell 7447 Pandora with FullHD Display (1920x1080). Dell changed it to crap Display with 1366x788, may because the Pandora was to good to be true and to dangerous for the way to big, to expensive Dell Alienware Laptop Brothers.

I love the discrete 4GB variant of the GTX850m, true, its just DDR3 but you can't find 4GB GDDR5.
For CAD, Photoshop CC14 Video rendering with Camera Raw Filter and Big Maps Games I just need as much Ram I can get.
The Asus Rog G55-VW (GTX660m, 2GB GDDR5) I have is not that fast in Photoshop video rendering (Camera Raw Filter can be used for videos as well).
So, I love my FHD Dell 7447 Pandora even more after the upgrade to 16GB DDR3L 2133Mhz HyperX impact.

The Best screen calibration I found so far for the FullHD Display (AUO B140HAN)
is a ICC profile from Win7x64 called: sRGB IEC61966-2.1 that is even slightly better than the screen calibration from Notebookcheck.com for a Lenovo T440s.
This screen calibration for the Lenovo T440s, can be used for the FHD variant display AUO B140HAN of the Dell 7447 Pandora.
You can compare it by yourself with other profiles like the sRGB IEC61966-2.1.

The only laptop which is nearly same as good in max 14 inch was the Gigabyte P34GV2-CF2 BUT there is no optical drive and it is ugly. All of the custom build Laptop you find have no optical drive if they are 14 inch or under. For me, a optical drive is important.

define good and bad from your point of view (whats your purpose to get the laptop? normal work? gaming? designing?)
if not gaming then what you need to do is upgrade the hdd to ssd and ram to 16gb/32gb low voltage

Actually what he said that dell malaysia dont have assembly line in malaysia and what dell did is send the unit to dell trained technical which to assembly the machine and send to dell. What he did is he taken some unit and sell to us. So what we get are different compare with other retails set and we have a big box which retail lappy are packed into a much nice boxes.

It was taken down. Some said it's EOL.
I bought my unit at the physical store at LYP last week (2 units left at the time of my purchase), they told me that most likely a refreshed spec will be out, but don't know when.

The current Dell Inspiron 14 7447 specs as sold online is very different now...
CPU is now i5-4210H from i7, 4GB RAM from 8GB, FullHD Display (1920x1080) as mentioned is downgraded to 1366x788

Maybe the dealers would have the previous configurations still in stock...

Maybe not compatible yet. Better stick with window 8.1 first. I have the same problem as you do. I downgraded back to 8.1 and everything works perfectly.

The funny thing is, i can use the laptop with no issue when i disable the gtx 820m card or uninstall the driver for that card.

Lucky you mate. But now my lappy works perfectly under windows 8.1. Just doesn't encourage you to upgrade to windows 10 yet. I even have problem to adjust brightness after i upgrade to w10. vmad.gif

Oh you can't even log in ur windows. Ouch! force wipe all you data, it must've hurt if you didnt have any backup .

My case a lil different. I can still log into windows but random bluescreen will popup, then it'll restart all over again. I let it keep restarting for awhile(more then 15 minutes) until it stable for abit, then i enter device manager and disable the gtx 840 gpu.
Now everything works fine except the gpu and new found issue, webcam not detected. Makes me regret upgrading to windows 10.

If you dun mind, can you check the version of your nvidia driver in "Add or remove program", Nvidia driver 3xx.xx <-------------------

Mine was already upgraded to Windows 10 several months back. So far so good. No problem at all. Sometime it does reset by it self because the default Windows 10 setting will perform auto update and restart the laptop when it is not being used. Just need to disable that setting in Update and Security > Windows Update > Advanced Setting > Select Notify.

Another advice before performing the upgrade, make sure your important software is still being supported by the Windows 10. It was really bad for me when after the upgrade, turns out my Bitdefender Free is not supporting Windows 10. But there were no notification about it at all, or perhaps it did but it's gone when it automatically restart during the upgrade process. So my laptop was really naked without an antivirus for almost a month.

It does have the standard white backlight keyboard.
What I said still stands, there is no other configuration available for purchase now via Dell Malaysia online shop; they kept the initial launch price the same at RM3199 but specs reduced.
You would realise that Dell nowadays is very different (compared to lets say 5 years or more ago), their notebook possible configuration/customization on the online shop is very limited.
That's why I suggested to contact the local dealers...

It wasn't that serious biggrin.gif
Windows 10 has Windows Defender automatically configured and enabled after the upgrade (unless you intentionally disabled it after upgrade?)

Hey, i'm looking forward for this laptop and i have been doing so much research on it. Me and my dad found one, it is the i5 verison

Specs:

CPU: Intel Core i5-4200H 2.8GHz-3.4Ghz
GPU: GTX 850M 4GB DDR3
RAM: 4GB DDR3 (i can go up to 8GB)
OS: Win 8.1

Can this laptop run the latest games for at least medium settings to high? I've seen a few videos on youtube regarding on the same specs and they seem to handle the games smoothly (Battlefront, GTA V, Shadow of Mordor, Witcher 3 etc.)

Will it also heat up very much when playing games? Or just moderate heat?

My aim here is to play games so yeah, thanks if you're going to answer! ^.^

Windows 8.1. All spec as stated above for inspiron 7447 except my model is Core i7. nivdia 333.11

Better downgrade bro to win 8.

We don't know yet any win 10 issues since it is new.

Even some gaming website still not supporting win 8 moreover win 10. No confirmation on Dota 2 on win 10, anyone?

Gameranger confirmed not supporting win 8 even my win 8 can play red alert 2 without any problem.

My spec same as yours but i got ssd 7s to load with w8 full hd ips 1920x1080 non backlit keyboard 8gb ram. Do u use your laptop for a long time like left them operating for a long hour n no problems occured? If u did that and no problem i'll upgrade mine too
Do u install windows update often? How long has it been since u upgraded your laptop to w10?

I've updated for more than a month now... about 2 weeks after the launch...
i use it to watch movies... surf and play games daily...
never crashed, except CSGO one time, but after steam software update, not issue.

i update often since i left the windows to auto download...
i've heard that there may be some monitoring of my laptop and possible privacy breach...
but all my software are official and legal.. so no issues...

Can u be more specific about monitoring of your laptop? U mean how windows 10's software breaches our privacy? Eg like Cortana that cant be uninstall n keep running in background?

if you read some online articles about windows 10, they mentioned that Win10 will have auto update and apparently will scan your drive for pirated software...
not sure if this is implemented already, but i have no issues with this...

i am not a very detailed technical or a certified MS graduate, but from a layman uncle's POV by just using this to play some games, watch some movies and surf some websites... it is a good laptop and update to windows 10 is no issue.

Bought the i5 version because it was cheap RM2.5k. Updated to w10 (Clean install), no problem so far smile.gif.
Gaming was brilliant (mostly played LoL on maximum setting) FPS can get around 110++

Quite satisfied but is it normal for my temps everyday use to reach maximum of 55c?
the laptop never go , for constant under 44c unless its on idle.

For gaming , the temps are fine. I'm concerned on my everyday use activities.

Any thoughts?

You are lucky if u managed to get through DeLL F#$% customer support. I bought this laptop because i was planning to send my old vostro to Dell. If only i know that this Dell has so F%^&*$#@ support, i wouldnt buy any DELL. So much hyped about good customer support. It has been 2 week since first contact customer support. They send only parts to me. I paid both for parts and labour cost of repair. I missed my old Toshiba laptop. So good memories and experience with Toshiba, a reliable brand. Never broke down. Just sell because had extra lappy at that time. Do you know where i can complain about DELL??

Don't buy DELL if you have extra money.

Oh wow , I didn't know the customer support was so bad. I guess the hype was completely false.
I didn't contact DELL yet because its not a big prob much but yeah , its a Rm2.5k laptop , should be in perfect condition.

Maybe Malaysia , customer tribunal for report?
