Report on my OPO XNPH38R update: Successful

History:
- OTA notification appear to upgrade to 38R
- OTA update failed due to Velvet.apk (Status 7)
- Tried manual update 38R using stock CM recovery: failed, same Status 7 as before
- Download complete XNPH33R ROM and manual flash using stock CM recovery: success, no data loss
- OTA notification appear to upgrade to 38R again
- OTA update failed, cannot find update file. So i just point it to the cygn/fota folder.
- Update successful

Hi guys, anyone managed to deal with the occasional black lines across the screen after the 38r update yet?

just notice my int. version does has little yellow tint ant lower right corner & lower left corner.
Wont very clear if not under full white back ground.
Work around - on screen button may cover them up.

my device from original > 38R, no problem at all. no root.

i experienced whatsapp delay since facebook try to acquire whatsapp.. haha.. was wondering whether facebook is doing dirty work behind or not

i had it once, just one time, rebooted and it never happened again. but your's how many times happened?

regarding the yellow tint.. when i first got my phone back in July, the tint is there but barely noticable unless over white background.. now it's totally gone.. no tint.. give it time, i guess

I think I should not expect so much from this. If compared to my iPhone5 this is very very very good now.

Maybe I will try 1 more which is the Android Tuner tweak. Can't seem to get it to work last nite. But I saw a solution few post back from xxdesire.

But seriously, if you're happy with the battery with your current usage then you should be. Else if you're happy and want to continue tweak to get more out of it, then you can do that as well. #android

as i mentioned i connected to wifi.. i'm not really active whatsapp user so i always got delay when my friends/customers msg me~ damn!

But like you said when phone is idle, so meaning your phone went to sleep and it took some time to wakeup.
Not sure about the battery saving feature, never use it cause never needed it (for me). But it could be the or one of the culprit.
