The position is on purpose. sweat.gif cause the phone is considered phablet category already. Need to put the power button lower a bit for easier access.

Me too same options as yous and I can't seem to find why aren't the other partitions showing up  hmm.gif  hmm.gif

BTW has your issue been fixed?
*
Yup. I followed the instructions from the thread I linked in earlier posts. Godsent really.

QUOTE(stella_purple @ Oct 12 2014, 05:03 PM)
efs backup is not supported in official twrp.

if want to back up efs, use adb shell or terminal emulator.

CODE

su
dd if=/dev/block/mmcblk0p10 of=/sdcard/modemst1.bin bs=512
dd if=/dev/block/mmcblk0p11 of=/sdcard/modemst2.bin bs=512

backup file will be created in the internal storage and can be flash back using fastboot.

CODE

fastboot flash modemst1 modemst1.bin
fastboot flash modemst2 modemst2.bin

*
Thanks! No frills and quick. smile.gif

QUOTE(stella_purple @ Oct 12 2014, 05:14 PM)
just fyi, there are some user report having issue when restore efs using unofficial twrp.
*
That's what I read too. But other problems will cause it as well. Like unofficial/scripted OTAs on an immensely customised stock ROM.

QUOTE(rifle_m16 @ Oct 12 2014, 05:25 PM)
The first thing I did after bought my OPO is back up the EFS first using adb.

Because previously my GTab fcked up (until now) not knowing how important the EFS is.

Better safe than sorry. smile.gif
*
I've learnt that the hard way. Plus tm is being mean today. I had to go campus to fix it.

QUOTE(xxdesire @ Oct 12 2014, 06:38 PM)
Oh, not sure why 1+1 TWRP didn't support, cause they did support for N5. I can see the backup efs partition in the backup option. Never tested this on 1+1 since I wasn't allowed to mod the phone. Oops, my bad.
*
Maybe because it was buggy. I've heard the root of the cause was an unofficial TWRP with EFS backup.

Para1
Ya you right.
when play with ISO, yes, it always relate/adverse to noise, so it's a balancing act/decision for using what ISO at what situation (unsteady photo vs acceptable noise level) so there u give is a good guide daytime 100-200, interior 200-400, and low light >400...The picture noise is roughly a byproduct post processing software part and also the hardware level...thats why when good spec hardware, say,

Meizu MX4 camera sensor size is 1/2.3" which is larger than most smartphone camera sensor size (also 1/2.3 is a digital compact camera size so they have the same level of hardware to start with) and thus able to have better Pic Qlty...also able to have less noise at same level of ISO...generally, a 1/1.6" size has a less noise than a sensor size of 1/2.3" at the same ISO...n software. and more Megapixel doesnt mean good also, potentially increase noise level for the same sensor size

Para2
IMHO, focusing on the sky will underexposed the landscape but post processing can return the detail....underexposed has sufficient detail...but if overexposed...then cant salvage d as the photo details are lost. I still not sure where to focus, for a landscape like horizon landscape or where there is no 1 object to focus, to get the best landscape photo...or just let auto focus to do the job? hehe ...i rarely have the effort and passion to shoot many photo to trial and error actually haha

Para 3
Yea, I will folo ur advise about outside shooting- to maximise the brightness in hope also to get the output exposure as close to the LCD at time of pre-shot take place...is this accurate enough, from ur experience?
*
seem like you know all camera things. I have Sony Xperia Z1 which has 1/2.3" sensor but the image processing is craps on stock cam. FV5 perform much better thans stock cam with PNG file.

Well if you on tripod, you can always try this technique. Shoot 2 image with difference exposure (1 sky 1 landscape) or shoot RAW. Then edit in photoshop. Or just use HDR.

http://www.digitalcameraworld.com/2013/06/...er-must-know/2/

I think it is accurate. At least I have confident the exposure wasn't so bad and I still can edit abit in post processing.

quite a drain you have there. and u are not playing any games. just lightweight apps.

i noticed that this 38R consumes more battery when you use the device, but very minimal battery drainage during sleep.

edit: but 4hrs SOT with 7hrs battery cycle with 43% battery left is also quite good. hmm.gif

your hsdpa sticks and never move?

When putting the phone facing downward with the original 1+ white casing , the screen touches the table. this doesnt happen with the rm15 casing. Now my white casing just sitting duck in the shelves...I think its contribution is just as a freebie gimmick to ppl when want to sell my 1+ that time biggrin.gif

Ya. That's what I was saying for this 38r. It could go upto 6hours if I cont. drain it. hmm.gif

Calkulin's stock rooted rom though.

It's always H+ full bar at my crib. At campus is quite good too. So coverage isn't an issue.

Today I just Whatsapp, FB, IG, Twitter, browser. Wechat logged me out for 24hrs. sleep.gif

I dont have prevent accidental wake up yet. still on 33r

For those who wan reduce shaky hands shot, can turn on the timer, 1-2seconds...then let it take itself...not very effective but maybe some ppl can benefit abit from it

my advice, only turn it on if u are facing accidental wake up when u place the device inside your pocket. if u dont, turn it off. mine, i turn it off, as i never face any accidental wake up.

reason being, that feature use more battery, as it actually uses the proximity sensors to ensure the device will not register any tabs while the sensors detects any surface blocking it at a very near distance. this is something similar to the gravity screen app.

haha. its just hard to remember and track all the mods applied. in addition to that, some mods seems easy to install/apply, but what it actually does in the background, it changes some system related files and we dont see it doing so. take franco kernel for an example. flashing it is easy. but reverting it to stock for OTA update requires additional steps, as it actually modified the system thermal file. some other mods modifies system framework, but the initial installation was so easy as easy as one click laugh.gif
*
Bro. Im waiting for 38R ota. Previously used fronco for a week and already flashed back the stock kernel.

But U said franco modified the thermal file. So What are the "additional steps" to revert back to original stock kernel before ota?
