changed permissions, pasted the CMKeyguard.apk in priv-app and app, still can't OTA phone. straight flash to 38R?

gila babi stupid question, data will be retained or will be gone? and can I flash to older ROM if i feel like it next time? u couldn't do shit like that in the iPad 2 years ago so i dunno how the situation is now.

you are rooted right? make nandroid backup and tb backup. after that restore TB backup back.

when you flash the full rom, dont run the fastboot flash userdata userdata_64G.img code. that will wipe everything.

so u just need to run these commands:

yea rooted, nandroid backup yesterday did already i guess that'll be sufficient, will attempt flash after storm settles, heavy rain.

Remember to root before using Titanium Backup to restore all your apps. And also flash custom recovery TWRP after you successful booted into 38R

flash to 38R,
then reroot, reinstall TWRP?

1) Backup
2) Flash
3) Reboot into Android OS
4) Shutdown
5) Flash TWRP
6) Go recovery
7) Flash root
8) Reboot
9) Win

Oh yeah, don't forgot DON'T flash userdata_64G.img in fastboot. That file re-partition your SDCARD hence will wipe all your data in SDCARD.

i unlocked my bootloader, try to flash super SU with cyanogen recovery but it failed with some error like No Signature, Verification Failed.
Anyone know how should i proceed with root?

Hey guys, feels good having the week off hehehe. I finally gave in and flashed PA on my OPO but sadly slowly starting to miss CM11s. The gallery app, the camera, the lockscreen, damn, barely one hour with PA a ROM I used to really love and I'm already crying for stock



Why? Honestly we all had that feeling too when we had to troubleshoot our phones back then, but along the way I learnt that the benefits of these knowledge are essential for one to fully enjoy your device

You have to use custom recovery like CWM or TWRP to flash supersu.

I backed up, flashed into 38R fastboot, now booted in. I am in 33R instead? and no OTA. unrooted already, too.

What? Did download the signed fastboot and follow what Hater_Gonna_H8 mention earlier?

Just a question, did you just slap in the signed fastboot and flash it using TWRP?

the name of the file is cm-11.0-XNPH38R-bacon-signed-fastboot, i used CMD and typed in the lines based on Hater's coding post above this post. without the 64G line.

Did you extracted the files and move them into fastboot folder before typing those command?

FFFFFFFFFFFFFFFFUUUUUUUUUUUUU I FORGOT to extract! simply copy and pasted with the extracted 33R stuff.

so anyway.. I accidentally clean installed to 33R.. OTA notification just came in... just incremental update I guess.

btw, ur using default CM11S camera app? i doubt different camera app would help but I keep taking out of focus photos + shaky shots.
