We encourage user to upgrade SSD or RAM via service centre or MSI authorized resellers to enjoy warranty service. Please note that any damage caused by user will void the system warranty.

With the all new Advanced Stream Detect 2.0, Killer 2400 is able to better detect and control network traffic and deliver unparalleled speed and performance to your critical applications and websites. To identify and accelerate specific website traffic in addition to networked applications and games, the Killer E2400 provides additional 2 priority levels for traffic management. The latency has been improved, jitter has been reduced, stream video freeze has been eliminated by new features of Killer E2400. It is said that the newer generation product will provide industry-leading latency performance, beating the competition by up to 50% during single application usage and potentially more than 10x faster when multitasking.

Killer Doubleshot Pro

user posted image

Last year the double shot had been upgraded to pro version, allowing the use of both Killer Ethernet and Killer Wireless at the same time. More usable bandwidth will be provided to users by this combo. The Killer Ethernet could manage 1Gbps of network traffic and the Killer Wireless-AC could handle 867Mbps meanwhile. It allows both of these interfaces to work at the same time and ensures the max throughput as high as 1.867Gbps. The exclusive Advanced Stream Detect technology will automatically classify and prioritize the high priority traffic like online games and high quality audio to be handled by the systems fastest network interface(Ethernet or WIFI). Its capability to hook up to two different broadband networks at the same time is another selling feature. This creates many potential advantages for users to access a second network while they are gaming on the main one. Gaming, downloading, and watching twich channel all at the same time can be worked effectively in unprecedented network speed. The Killer DoubleShot Pro ensures the highest priority traffic will always be put on the fastest and most reliable link.

Advanced Stream Detect 2.0
You might know there is Advanced Stream Detect function together with previous generation products. It offers benefits like downloading large files, enjoy streaming videos, video chatting and doing online game all at the same time but with smooth networking quality. Yes, that’s indeed how it amazes those Killer fans. Advanced Stream Detect identifies all network streams and gives them optimal priority automatically so that everything you do online is running in better speed. Now the Advanced Stream Detect 2.0 version introduces new intelligence capabilities that enable it to detect and accelerate network traffic for specific websites in addition to the applications running on your computer. By prioritizing the network traffic for key websites above lower priority websites and applications, killer allows you to have a more enjoyable and uninterrupted experience. In order to maximize the additional detection capabilities, the Visual Bandwidth Control tool now provides 6 levels of application and website traffic prioritization and ensures users to have full advantages of intelligent network data detection capabilities that Advanced Stream Detect 2.0 featured.

Case Study: Jacques de Vos and the WS60

Our mobile Workstation systems are perhaps not highlighted as often as our Gaming systems, but they definitely deserve some love as well. With mobile NVIDIA Quadro graphics, they’re the perfect tool for CAD/CAM and simulation software, but truth is that they also give a nice boost in the Adobe Creative Cloud suite. We’ve been working with underwater photographer Jacques de Vos to come up with a case study, take a look at how he uses the WS60 in the video below.

WS60 series comes with Cooler Boost 3 technology

Heat is the most original element on earth. It’s pure physics that more energy will generate more heat. Cooling is therefore a knotty task to tackle with.

MSI exclusive Cooler Boost 3 technology creates dual thermal modules internally by allocating dedicated heat pipes for GPU and CPU. Multiple heat pipes and dual fans actively and effectively push heat out of the system, making the cooling design of this model the highest level of its kind.

WS60 series cooling layout as below.
A total of 4 heat pipes, 2 dedicated for graphics card and 2 for processor, significantly reduces heat by maximizing dissipation with dual fans and pushing thermal outside through 4 vents. This design maintains a stable and low temperature system even after long sessions of the highest loading.

Metal Gear Solid V: The Phantom Pain – graphics guide

Metal Gear Solid V: The Phantom Pain needs no introduction – a lot of you are already probably running it on your gaming systems. Especially since it’s bundled with MSI Notebooks equipped with GeForce GTX 970M and 980M in most parts of the world. While the game is available for consoles as well, there’s always features that make games better on PC. We’re of course talking about graphics, and in shooters, a superior aim, thanks to the use of a mouse.

We’re not ones to focus on mice, but instead, we’ll take a look at what makes the PC graphics far better than the console ones. And when we say we, we mean NVIDIA has done it for us, and we’re actually borrowing screenshots from their excellent Graphics & Performance guide. It mainly focuses on desktop graphics, but you should see useful tips here relevant to performance optimization on your mobile gaming system as well.

user posted image

The article goes in-depth in what makes the PC version of The Phantom Pain far superior to the console versions, with great interactive side-by-side comparisons demonstrating the different effects used – as demonstrated by the Depth of Field effect illustrated above. Also included in the guide are several levels of the same settings, and the performance impact and data on performance with different resolutions, starting at the 1080P we all know and love on MSI Gaming notebooks.

user posted image

Check out the article on geforce.com if you’re interested in fiddling around with your own graphics experience, rather than only using GeForce Experience-Optimized settings. Perhaps you don’t even have the game yet, and want to know what it looks like? It’s all in there, in great detail.

MSI GE62/72 5th generation intel will get bsod machine_check_exception when playing steam games especially dota 2 reborn and CS:GO.
This issue surfaced like one month ago and look like there is no solution from msi up until now except disabling intel speedstep which lowering your cpu speed.

GTA V Mods

Mods are plentiful for GTA V, and one is more outrageous than the next. We figured we’d give you a reason to go back and revisit GTA V if you’ve already shelved it and feel like you’re done with it.

The Pet Shark mod – Ever feel like Franklin’s dog Chop is a bit useless or dull? Turn him into a shark! He’ll still function just like Chop, meaning he barks and fetches, and can come along on a car ride, but it’s a hilarious experiement to remind us why gaming should be done on PC.

Grand Theft Zombies is another mod that adds something different to the game. The name gives it away, but it will basically put you in a war zone, being hunted by zombies, wherever you go.

One of our newest favorites though, must be the Mario Kart V mod. Truth be told, they’re two separate mods, one is a Mario mask, while the other is the Kart itself. Roam the streets and cause mayhem as everyone’s favorite childhood plumber – or his much-overlooked brother. Maybe even as Toad, Yoshi or Wario? The choice is yours.

PX60 Video

Our P-series of notebooks is a very versatile series of machines. While the G-series focuses solely on gaming, and the W-series comprises of mobile workstations, the P-series is aimed at a professional audience that doesn’t necessarily need workstation-grade graphics.

The PX60 is actually fairly similar to the GS60, but is improved with a screen panel calibrated to 100% sRGB, featuring True Color technology. This is so you can edit images and video with sure-fire knowledge that your colors are exactly as they should be. It obviously also helps when watching movies, and for that the PX60 is using the same Dynaudio sound system as its G-series sibling.

The CPUs used are the same – Broadwell and Skylake options are available, Super RAID, USB 3.0 Type-C, and of course NVIDIA Graphics. In this case, the graphics used are a notch below what you would normally find in the GS60, the PX60 uses GeForce GTX 950M and 960M.

Have a look at what you can do with the PX60 below.

May I know the price for GT80 Titan? Went to check up this beast and instantly fall in love with the design and power. Want to replace my aging Alienware M17xR4.
I am currently looking for single GTX980M and plan to add in another in future when the needs arise. What is the freebies coming with this unit?

Rainbow Six Siege Maps

Rainbow Six Siege is one of the hottest games still to make landfall this year. There’s been some confusion as to the game’s content, and more specifically the count of maps by launch – some accounts saying 10, and some 11. Ubisoft has now confirmed that the level count will be 10 by launch, with an additional 11th map to be added as free of charge DLC at a later date.

user posted image

While not exactly ground-breaking news, it’s always good to see that Ubisoft chooses not to monetize everything, just like EA announced it would do with its new Need For Speed instalment. No micro transactions and free DLC is the way to go in our book.
The Rainbow Six Siege beta launches on September 24th, and the official release is set for December 1st. We’re very much looking forward to the game, and have taken the necessary steps to ensure the game runs well on MSI gaming notebooks already.
