The performance is almost 100%-300% better, better power consumption, no more "M" at the end, benchmark almost same as desktop counterpart, its really really worth it. For the 1st time, laptop and desktop get the same graphics card. For the "m" at the end, performance is less >25% compare to the desktop counterpart.

For those interested, please check the benchmark result yourself.

Yeah, your MSI screen should get 70+% Adobe RGB, same as most apple product.

Bad news here. Not even a month, a MONTH, the CPU fan started to die on me.

It's getting louder and there's buzzing sound coming out from the fan. Grr.

As a new owner of a MSI laptop, I'm rather disappointed. First the TN panel and it's poor color quality, now the bloody fan.

About the international warranty thing. How does it work? Do I need to bring a receipt when I bought it back in Malaysia? I'm currently staying in SG and plan to send to MSI SG to fix it.
*
MSI SG can give full refund?

Maybe he wants to get the Desktop like Aegis X that's not available locally. MSI has 1 year international warranty and 2 years local. If its available locally, better get local.

Like the guy above said, tax, kastam, shipping, converter, etc. So much hassle. On top of that, u might need to drive to kastam in KLIA 2 to collect.

Juz got my GT72S 6QE. i7 6820hk processor with 4x8gb ram.  i've seen some reviews about clocking the gpu. is this possible? also its on 1tb+256gb ssd. definately wanna change tat ssd to a m.2 pcie chip. there are a few on the market tat i might be keen... anyone did this upgrade to their msi laptop before? wat real time differences does it make? mainly comparing intel 600p and samsung evo 950/960.

another question is i seen the brochur that i should have a gsync ready 75hz monitor... i do see the settings of 75hz display, but i dont see any gsync settings. how ah ?
*
At nvidia control panel > under display > Set up G-Sync. got?

Sharing: 3rd day using. Finally found a msi hermes backpack tat actually fits the damn gt72s laptop+charger.

Itchy backside. Go open back cover n took out the ram to look see look see then put it back. Restart the laptop it was stucked at bios. No need press delete also bios pop up. Save n exit still bios. Luckily my colleague hav an exact same unit I turn on his bios. Found out tat my booting hard drive was somehow set to raid(which I didnt set) switched a few settings and reboot like normal.

Question: wanna change my stock pcie ssd to a faster pcie ssd. Will the fella's at lowyat help me do transfer of windows n drivers etc? And also currently running on windows 7. Should I change it to windows10? Is there any loading speed/smoothness/stability related improvements?'
*
To be honest, I think dont need faster SSD. Hard disc (100mb/s max) vs SSD (about 300-500mb/s) is like a huge jump. I think MSI already give somewhere very near 500mpbs. the extra 100mpbs wont really make a difference.

http://www.fastestssd.com/featured/ssd-ran...d-state-drives/ (Check here first. Is it really worth changing?)

I'm using win 10 since my last MSI and now Aorus. Both very stable. I think malaysians say unstable because is *ehem* version.

At first I want to say you can't upgrade laptop's GPU and CPU but apparently, you can upgrade GT80's GPU. The msi forum says you can upgrade.

https://forum-en.msi.com/index.php?topic=274983.0

Its only advertised as "upgradable" in the US. But noone can upgrade it. Some people want to sue for false advertising.

My GS70 notebook is falling apart after 3 years plus of heavy usage. The screen is showing ghosting images and the battery could not be charged anymore.

Where I could replace the screen and battery? The notebook is no longer under warranty and I don't mind going to any third party shop as long as I could get replaced immediately since I'm from east coast and only occasionally come down to Klang Valley. I've asked few shops in Kuantan, and none able to do the replacement without ordering the spare parts, which they estimated to take at least 1 month.

Buy GS73. The GTX1060/1070 is about 400% improvement from your GTX860m/870m.

Anyone using GE62MVR 7RG 017MY APACHE PRO? Saw on msi malaysia website it's listed as 5kg? Or 5 lbs
*
Should be 5lbs. around 2.3kg. The GT series is about 5kg (with 2 graphics card, 2ssd and hdd, heatsink, 2or 3 fans), GS series is 1.8kg. So the GE series cant be 5kg.

Thinking about buying an msi laptop, was hoping to get some feedback from you all. Is it good?

When I told a friend, he said better buy Asus ROG, because MSI sometime have problem like component problem or hinge break. This just rumours, or is it true?

Also, I'm planning to move to Australia towards the end of the year for while. If I buy a MSI laptop here, will the warranty cover me if I go outside boleh land?
*
No idea. He got evidence from forum post or something? Anyway, last time MSI is using aluminium even for the cover beside the keyboard. Asus is mostly high quality plastic. Either laptop is good.

Yeah, can confirm. Cant open. Other laptop brand allow to upgrade. MSI dont allow. They ask to send to shop to re-paste, change ram, upgrade hdd, etc. Go to authorized dealer and ask them to clean fan lol.

my GE 6QF keyboard is having problem where some of the keys cannot be registered after type, so any sifu here had the same issue and how long will it take for msi to honour the warranty and replace the keyboard?

Besides that, my chassis at the fan grill popped out and the laptop was never dropped before so anybody knew what happened?

The Subwoffer seems to be having buzzy sound too

will the warranty claiming process be long?
*
Normally 2 -3 weeks. They need to order from Taiwan.
