Anyone forced into Bios when restarting cold laptop? I had to leave it to warm up first then can start windows normally.

GS602PE (Stealth Pro)

HDD is kinda slow. Cant watch 4k vid without lagging abit every few mins. If i transfer it to SSD then its ok.

I know HDD is slower than SSD but not this slow.

Hi MSI sifu,

Any recommendation with budget less than 4k.. equip with ssd , HDD, m2, 15 inch, GTX 960M...
*
With gtx1060 laptop (no more M) out now, you should be able to get 960M really cheap at 2nd hand garage sale or maybe even retail shop that still carry them.

Maybe you maxed all the settings. Use the recommended setting.

looking forward to upgrade it to 12gb. Thanks btw.

no. i played them using normal and lowest settings, but still stuttering, neither graphics and sounds.

You need to plug in the power. Without power, window's default setting wont let you run max potential to save battery.

Hi

My notebook msi gs60 2qe is damage by water and have sent to repair. The tech from E-Gate called me to inform there is damage to mainboard(only mainboard) and need to replace. Shockingly the cost to change the mainboard alone is more then Rm4000. Is this mainboard cost so much?????
*
Yes I guess. The motherborad, CPU and GPU (graphics card) all is one piece. 1 dmg, all damaged.

Hey, thanks a lot bro. This really help a lot. I am interested and currently comparing GT73VR 6RE 016MY with GT72VR 6RE Tobii. Do you have any recommendation which one is better? Seems like 73VR has raid configuration while Tobii has well... Tobii eyeball tracking ability.
*
I would get the GT73VR 6RE. Specs wise its a clear winner. The one coming in malaysia is the 120Hz option. I want to pay RM10k for that if its in the GS series with GTX1070. But MSI's GS series uses GTX1060 only sad.gif

Plus it has a Thunderbolt 3. I know the Tobii's main page says 120Hz but its not in the specs page. Maybe they accidentally left it out or they are bringing in another variation. I'm not sure. I'm not a fan of the Tobii eye tracking. Haha.

How is MSI after sales service? i searched this thread but not much info on it
*
I sent service 2x. 1st time about less than 2 week for some minor defect.

2nd time they had to order some parts from Taiwan. Took almost 1 month to repair.

After replacement, i realized its the wrong parts. They ask me to send in again. I'm really unhappy.

The battery was bloated. They want to charge me for the battery at first even though it was under warranty. I messaged MSI, then after a few days, the service center say they wont charge me for the battery. Aftet a few more days, they say need to replace my keboard because it was damaged (by the battery bloated incident). I said fine, then they charge me for it. After collecting the laptop, i realised the keyboard symbol is wrong.

I called them and they ask me to send it in. No way I'm gonna let them hold my laptop for another 1 month. I ask them to order 1st. This is still ongoing now. Im waiting for the "MSI technician" to come in. I tried to call them since last week. Issue wasn't resolved.

For comparison, when my Alienware is not working, they came to my house and replace the motherboard, fan and everything within 2 days. Some times the very next day. Dell's service is still number 1. MSI, not so much.

Shitty MSI laptop. bought a gaming laptop but cant play a single game. Even the lowest graphic requirement of DOTA 2..already sent to service for 3 times. First time they charge me 120SGD for helping me reinstalling OS and reset everything to default, and the 2nd and third time still the same issue. Graphic card keep crashing and BSOD. told me not to update the graphic driver from the NVIDIA panel. did what they said, but problem still persist.

I can't even update it to Windows 10. the guy told me better don't upgrade. cause we don't know the driver will cause the graphic or window to crash again or not. totally bullshit. My another Asus ROG laptop don have such problem.

Later i will bring to the service center again and will ask for 1 to 1 exchange or i will complaint to consumer department. dam shitty brand spend 2.2k SGD and cant play a single game.

Dear Sifus,

My 2 year old MSI GE70 2PE just died, stuck at MSI loading screen and won't boot windows. Did some googling and suspected SSD or graphic card issue.

Any recommended authorized repair shop? Or straight send to the service center in Kota Kemuning?
*
Need more info. Can you open BIOS? Is the SSD stated in the bios? Is there 1 beeping sound? Did the windows logo start? Does it restart after windows logo fully load?

GS60 ghost is 2 years ago (GTX860m) and Ghost Pro last year (GTX970m). This year is GS63VR (GTX1060).

This is the old model. 9-series graphics card. Get the one with 10-series (Launch this year). ALOT of difference.
