QUOTE(ivango88 @ Jul 23 2007, 01:49 AM) Hey friends, hey wat design course do you entering?I'm looking forward to study in RMIT, Melbourne for design course. From what I know, Melbourne is a city like PJ. Which is well organized. Second thing is, work part-time there and eat there is definitely cheaper than having it in KL. The part-time there pay you with min AUD10 for a hour. So imagine you can work for 20 hours a week. 20*10=AUD200. I believe that's a good deal for us. At least we can bare on our living expenses. Just to share, too many replies above. Can't catch up, hope you guys don't mind I jump in to share some. living in melbourne the expenses always go up every year..5% ~ this year edi so high for me ~ Added on July 24, 2007, 10:05 am QUOTE(ivango88 @ Jul 24 2007, 12:07 AM) haha, means you still can survive with the food from the market.. But anyway, maybe I shall just say, earn more spend wisely. But my sister got a better deal in her part time, so she still can spend on ipod for me. But she is now in Perth, maybe bit different from melbourne. for design context - melb is better ~ but for living ..perth is better~This post has been edited by KVReninem: Jul 24 2007, 10:05 AM |

QUOTE(haya @ Jul 28 2007, 11:22 AM) Well, from the eastern seaboard, Perth is quite far away. Flying from Sydney to Perth is almost as long as flying from Sydney to Singapore. Perth is like a mini-Kuching/Malaysia/Singapore/Asia depending on who you talk to. tats wat i like~...when it is mini..easy to get ard...when it is super pack like sydney ...hell you wasted precious time~ |

well actually converting still in my head ...
after months it still wont dissapear.. i been here about a year ...so everyday i see the rates going up i shake head...but no option still got to spend to makan and hidup but what to do...when you consider our money and aussie money ... you wonder why they are so well suddenly, in the early 1990 it is so cheap currency ~and no want to come until Y2000 ahead till now..increase migration ..haih.. Added on August 5, 2007, 10:07 pm QUOTE(coolgirl_y2k1 @ Aug 5 2007, 08:43 PM) hey guys, edit ur 1st page although I'm the thread starter but I do not reply much as I just started my studies in Australia early this year,I still do go through this thread very often. I do agree on suggestions to include the "names " of those currently studying in Aussie on 1st page, but I'm not sure how to do that. I would be very glad to let other users to create it. Thanks. if still dunno ask the forum admin -RBR ... also in melb. This post has been edited by KVReninem: Aug 5 2007, 10:07 PM |

QUOTE(naturesimple @ Aug 8 2007, 12:22 AM) i'm not going to convert to anything unless im earning here for myself.... i understand ur situation bro! not you only feel the pinch of x-rates but we got no choice but got to makan and hidup but since i'm new here....... wat i mean is to those who r still using their FAMA funds, how can u be not converting when ur parents r earning RM? seriously i m really save and safe when dealing with buying things... the reason i say about 25 thingy is because some1 ask about the cost of living... tats the truth n easy understanding. but of course... to those who r financially capable(parents), ignore me. every1 notice that how large sum they have spend here, but they just dun wan to face it...maybe to avoid feeling guilty yes, cost of living is high here especially in melb and syd. |

QUOTE(haya @ Aug 11 2007, 03:14 PM) Somebody kill him........anyone who doesn't know where Gold Coast is deserves to die......... okla i go google 1st hehheeAirAsia X has got landing rights to the Coolangatta Airport and Avalon in Melb. Coolangatta Airport is probably the most interesting airport in OZ; one half is on NSW, the other side is in QLD. Seriously. Getting there and back will be a problem through, as the train only goes down to Robina from Brisbane. From Robina you still need to take a bus to the airport: no idea about connectivity. Coolangatta Airport is about 90KM from Brisbane............go figure. Added on August 11, 2007, 2:15 pmAnd i live for kolo mee. u live for kolo mee? u from sarawak? |
