why is everyone forgot that icloud is password protected. it is no difference than storing your money in a bank, with lock and security guards.

You know, that longggggg fine print the average user doesn't read and just click accept? Yeah that! Its 2014, the year of NSA, FBI, Anonymous, Snowden, Facebook, Google, Microsoft etc scandals. About your money being stored in the bank, why do you think its INSURED? Why would it need insurance if its a 100% hack proof system. Go figure.

Now see this, your locked house is likened to an encrypted offline pc or usb flash drive, while the Internet today is likened to an international park with free access to anyone. Now imagine, you took that private usb flash drive out of your house, place it in the middle of the park, unsecured (thought its secure), some random fellow swung by, picked it up and access it on his own computer. Who the f is ultimately to blame? The hypothetical grasses in the park is it, whom you blindly trusted with your information.

Sure I blame the "hackers", script kiddies or whatever that illegally gained access to her photos. But ultimately it WAS her decision to store such nudes on the cloud. But instead of her and others affected accepting at least 51% of the blame, they are mouthing off saying its the Internet's fault... Geezz... Hope you now understand.

oh i didn't know my post was targeted at you. on what basis are you saying she's putting the whole blame on the internet? and just what proof you seek actually of whether these victims are willing take some part of the blame? in fact how can you be so certain that this people have not realized of their actions and the consequences that surfaces. in the end everything turns out as a lesson learnt way too hard for the victims and i'm sure the tragedy has impacted their life more than one could possibly want. is that not good enough for you all-so-knowing chaps?

the problem is why are people so hell-bent on reinforcing the "victim-blaming" notion here? on this thread alone you can see that majority talks about how the celebrities are at fault and hardly a person has anything to say about the "hackers", which is the real criminal here.
