anyone know when the new CX-5 will be in malaysia.?

Thanks sooooo much for the information, can I check with you, in terms of legging space, is it spacious enuf? Also, for the parts to maintain the car, will it be costly compare with Nissan and Toyota?

Currently there are few version of CX-5 right? I can even see there is manual version. Is there a clipped gear to overtaking car?

Yeah, I will test drive it myself this upcoming Saturday to experience both. How long has this car been released? When was the current model released in Malaysia?

Guy, just got my ride. Confuse on the i-Stop function, once I turn on the engine I've turn off the i-stop (no light indicated on the display). Then after driving around and when I reach traffic light and stop completely the i-stop function suddenly kick in, but I thought I've turn off the i-stop function from the beginning. Mind to share what the correct way to turn off the i-stop???

You will regretted if go for HRV...... my sis HRV full of rattling sound for just 1 yr plus.... driving control no way meet CX5 ....A/C issue, can't cold back seat effectively at all!!!
More makan minyak then CX5 due to under power....add 10k more on house... emm nth much leh hehe

I seldom drive it every day as I'm working in Singapore. So mostly is just like 1 hour city trip from my parents. My parents are fine with the seat after test drive. So I'm fine.

You have to see where I'm from, I'm from Proton Saga FL upgraded to HRV. So can you see the difference? Makan minyak, I think Saga is the worst. But anything that is better than Saga FL I'm welcome. I'm looking "housing investment" as top priority as I will be getting house in Singapore.   
That's the huge advantage, space. And one more, " Cost ". No matter how good is the car, as long we do not have that budget to spend is just talking thrash. I can even say Lexus SUV is better than CX-5,      It's just whether I have the money to spend on it or not.

Having RM30k more compare between HR-V and CX-5 meant a lot. How long can we earn back RM30k? I rather put it as my downpayment for my new house.

You all will be surprised how many Honda HRV / Vezel are on the road in Singapore, a lot of people look it as cost effective car.

For family purpose, CX5 is a better deal.

hey ladies and gentlemen .... if u were in my shoes.. considering to change will you consider getting the current CX5 model or wait for the 2017 model which we have no clue and sneak preview when it will be launched in malaysia.. the pics  in paul tan and all the websites ... looks really good.. but its better too see it with your own eyes ..

Even with trip B, the display won't show the car temperature??

Mazda is expecting all owner to pop up the hood and check the coolant?? Or they are so confident that the car won't overheat. 

Lots of new car also remove the round temp gauge rite..... only remain the trigger icon with colors....

1. BLUE temperature light means that your engine is below normal operating temperature,
2. NO temperature light means things are normal,
3. FLASHING RED temperature light means that engine is above operating temperature and you should pull over soon,
4. SOLID RED LIGHT means that you are overheated, and to pull over immediately.

I believe if u pop up the manual then should have the details too....

I'm sure this is the old (current) version that's built in 2017. New version should be coming out Q3 from according to the car websites and previous posts several pages back.

cannot be la.. must be 2.5 High spec price 160-165k..
unless it is all in CBU then reasonably price for 2.0 HS at 160k..
they have to maintain same with current price.. maybe 2-3k increase only.

the thing is i actually 'permanently' switch off the i-stop feature by inserting a cable tie into the button switch. seem like this does not prolong the i-stop battery as well.
sigh got to replace the i-stop battery as the mechanic say 'takut nanti tak tau bila you tak boleh start kereta'

care to share how it is done?
