QUOTE(broken_heart @ Jun 22 2018, 11:56 AM) Not that obvious as SRC, as I've been driving my DCB since Feb this year.Although I noticed some few paint chips here and there, my daily work commuting is almost 90 km to and fro, using DUKE and NKVE on highway speed, so paint chip is definitely non avoidable. But I do agree that the paint layer is quite thin compared to my previous CBU 2011 KIA Sportage or my FIL's CKD 2014 Honda CR-V. |

QUOTE(Duckies @ Jun 22 2018, 03:41 PM) Don't despair. At least you guys don't have to pay the 6% GST, unlike some of us early adopters It is a good car, with better driving dynamic over the similarly-priced SUVs. |

If you want practicality, with large boot space, rear seats space and intent to carry 4-5 adults, get the CR-V.
But if you after driving dynamic, hard to beat CX-5 with other similarly priced SUV. |

QUOTE(Duckies @ Jun 26 2018, 09:48 AM) Saw a post in CX5 Facebook Group. Apparently the Raytech safety tint does not do much against break in. Windows still shattered into pieces. No alarm from break-in or such. Our car does not come with car alarm? If install 3rd-party alarm system will surely involved wire tapping and affect the warranty. |

QUOTE(Duckies @ Jun 26 2018, 10:39 AM) Not yet.Only have the pedal lock. Thinking of installing GPS tracker, as a friend of mine installed on his Hilux rental units for RM500 with RM15 monthly GSM subscription. With real-time tracking, can remotely switch-off engine, alarm when travel outside the determined radius, etc. I'm more worried of total lost rather than break-in |

QUOTE(voncrane @ Jun 26 2018, 11:45 PM) Hey all.. Decided to check tires pressure and all four were over 300.. I believe around 33x or so. This normal? Cuz I've read that new car tires are usually over inflated as the cars are stored and air leaks over time. I've reduced all to 260 rather than the recommended 250 on the door jamb.. This alright? 19" tires here. Ride feels more comfy and much less bumpy. Normal bro.Mine when just collected from Bermaz was also above 300 kPa. Standard practice for dealers to over inflate the tyres due to the reason your mentioned I've kept mine to about 270 for the front and 260 for the rear, rather than 250 all around |

QUOTE(Duckies @ Jun 29 2018, 09:19 AM) .... By right, under the tyre pressure sticker on the driver's door side also have the metal sheet with VIN ID, model no, trans type, paint ID, among othersOhhhhh! The VIN is hidden underneath the carpet!! No wonder I couldn't find it. Everyone was saying it was at the driver's side pillar there but all I found is the tyre pressure sticker |

QUOTE(Like a Bause @ Jul 3 2018, 12:42 PM) Sidek Salleh charges about Rm150 to disable iStop feature, by plugging to the OBD2 port and flash it from his laptop. So I reckon the charges will be around that. If need to open the dashboard and activate the Android Auto using serial cable, etc, his charges is abt Rm400 |

QUOTE(broken_heart @ Jul 4 2018, 02:24 PM) HI, what is the next step when you booked the car and load approved? Wait until the SA calls you and ask you to prepare the downpayment.Waiting for SA to do allocation? Is 2.0 GLS only can be filled with RON 97 ? Thank you RON 95 is good enough, but some swears to RON97. Depends how deep is your pocket |

QUOTE(skeith @ Jul 4 2018, 03:04 PM) ..... Nowadays, Bermaz gives free carbon deposit cleaner when you do the servicing with Bermaz.like getting a can of carbon deposit cleaner (RM42 for mazda 1, or RM50+ for caltex tecthron). Not sure of dealers SC though When I registered my car for 10k servicing at the receptionist, the service agent wanted to give me the deposit cleaner until I told him mine is 2.2D |
