Hi guys, does anybody face problem with payonline uob with HLB wise card?
I couldn't proceed to the TAC page since 2 days ago.
I tried different PC, same.
Tried another 3 banks' Visa and Mastercard, all succeed.
Only HLB couldn't proceed.

I called HLB customer service, they can't do anything, just told me the credit card is valid, active and the OTP also registered.
Nothing they can do. So I wan't to ask anyone else is facing same problem? How to solve it? cry.gif

Thanks.

As said before, they are downgrading online services, and some more you are using third party's online service, so whistling.gif

I think I still having jack lack issues after flying last week. Only notice today is 1st of December, the cash back for the month started back again.
This lesson teach us that, all payment using third party online system shall be done earlier, not last minute sweat.gif

i just call them asking for waiver but they said cant...anyone manage to waive?  blink.gif
*
Basically I got it "waived".
But they will choose the card holder to waive. They won't call you and you no need to call them, they just waive it.
But GST still have to pay.
That's why I never call this as WISE card, it is STUPID card with following reasons :
1. actual cash back are 8.25%, not 10%
2. every category you choose won't really give you cash back
3. overseas spending sure can't get cash back
4. card center won't help when you have question
5. posting date also not consistent especially reaching end of the month

i called them again and request for cancellation, lets see if they can waived out the RM300 annual fees. If cant then will proceed to cancel as i seldom use it anyway. thanks.  smile.gif
*
This can only be second card and with condition your monthly average spending about rm1700-2000, else don't waste time on this.
And nope, using cancel card to get waived won't help, they don't bother on this also.

hmm what do you mean by second card? i only got one card which me myself is the principle holder. i don't used it frequently but the amount should be around 2K plus due to those auto billing for insurance and mobile.
*
What I mean is, you need to have another cash back card before getting this card, like MBB's dual card are the best option.

QUOTE(IceLeo @ Dec 3 2014, 04:30 PM)
i have few question on this card:~
1) If i manage to swipe 10x petrol transaction with more than RM50 and 5x petrol  transaction with less than RM50, is all this 15x petrol transaction eligible for 10% rebate?
2) Can i pay mobile bill online using this card or i need to go to telco counter to pay for the bill?
3) 10% cash back promotion end date?

btw, thanks for the clarification on my question in advance.
*
Yes, you still can get 8.25%.

Those who choose dining, do you have any problem for small restaurants?
*
Individual restaurants will give you rm0 cash back most of the time.

QUOTE(felicious @ Dec 4 2014, 09:42 PM)
Noted. Guess groceries and petrol will be my choice then.
*
Again, this is wrong also, petrol must use the pump's card terminal, using inside terminal will same give you rm0. Groceries also have to be very careful.

Bingo. I used around RM500 for petrol itself. Noted the transaction at pump as well. Read the whole thread from page 1 sweat.gif

Don't' have much to pay for utilities.

Groceries will be my next choice, although I don't spend much on groceries. Gotta accumulate to buy everything in a month time sad.gif

By the way, anyone tried Econsave? Is it categorized under Groceries?
*
Econsave yes, only supermarkets that having departmental stores you must be very careful.
rm500 of balance you can choose groceries, buy 2KG Milo rm30-31 and sell it back to local coffee shops. If they don't shop in Tesco, Giant, AeonBig, the price they are getting is rm34. So you have some market there.
My spending on groceries every month only rm200 and petrol rm300 but yet I still able to hit rm1000 sharp. So basically rm500's groceries are for "selling".

Out of curiosity, does that mean HL Essential card will get rebate if I swipe for petrol inside (since different MCC with the terminal)brows.gif? But this will be last resort since it offers 1% rebate only.

*Retail Transactions (both local and international) EXCLUDE Cash Advances,
Cash-on-Call, Call-for-Cash, Extended Payment Plan, Flexi Payment Plan, Balance
Transfers, Petrol transactions, Finance Charges, Late Charges and Annual Fee
Payment with the exception of WISE, Fortune and Hong Leong Infinite cards
where petrol transactions will be awarded.

According to this, you will be getting rm0 regardless swipe anywhere in a petrol station whistling.gif

HLB's card only the STUPID card are worth to think of, if you can spend rm1000 on playing with their stupid game of denying cash back. If you are looking for 1% "unlimited", OCBC would be the better option.

Come to think of it, why bother taking the risk to swipe inside? Not worth it at all.
Actually I always max out wise rebate by the 1st week of the month. Pay utilities, mobile and petrol. Habis quota whistling.gif
Playing the posting/transaction date game is not a concern to me cool2.gif
*
Just too bad I can't, have to keep rm50 for 3rd week's petrol cry.gif

Dear Bennedict82

1. For 10 transactions above RM50, is it calculated from 1st day of everything until 31th? Or it is based on the monthly billing date of credit card?
Transactions are base on posting date. Posting date usually 1 day late after the transact date.

2. Can some one help me to confirm if below payment can be used / count as 10 transactions to claim the cash back?

1. Auto debit from Insurance monthly payment.
You can use auto debit if your monthly payment are less than RM100.

2. Auto debit from TNB, TM
Im using PayOnline for paying all my bill, u can maximize all your swipe of transaction.

3. Auto debit from U Mobile / MAXIS
As per above.

4. Using HLB internet banking to pay bill > RM50.
As per above.
*
Just some corrections, it will take upto 3 days sometimes, especially on weekends.

1) there is no gang here in cc section
2) my post which you quoted is unrelated to the earlier discussion to prove who is right or wrong
3) to be honest (without belittling your knowledge), your statement highlighted below is wrong
1) cashback is calculated based on posting date in a calendar month. so as long as it's posted in 1st to 31st, you will get the 10% cashback (for your selected categories, of course).
2) if your statement date is at the end of month, it won't cut off your cashback period to become shorter. assume that your statement date is 28th, if your transaction posting date is on 29th or 30th or 31st, you will still be entitled for the 10% cashback for the current month.
*
Nope, it will, by delaying the posting date. This is what you said before.

yes, i understand your point. assume that they will delay the posting date, but as long as being posted within 1st-31st, then it will not affect the cashback for that month. meaning that statement date will not cut short the cashback period in this case.  nod.gif
*
I never take assumption at any 1 time.
And I don't know why, last time whenever I do the transaction nearing to end of the month, I always missed it, especially nearing rm100 quota.

QUOTE(CalvinCLK @ Dec 8 2014, 08:57 PM)
No point arguing as different places have different practice. Like Caltex near BU is Tranx date + 3 days usually, some Petronas stations - T+1, Shell as well T+1. Maxis Pay T+2 etc. I dont think it's done by HLB side even though there's a chance of happening.

Please use the word Wise card and not STUPID card.  smile.gif
*
If merchant do the closing on the same day, they will get the money on next day afternoon under office hours.
And I had a Caltex transaction that delayed for 9 days, where merchant got his money on second day. So is happen on HLB usually.
