Guys, so just to confirm. I've just received my Wise card on early Nov, and my statement date is on 27th each month, so I have managed to complete 10 x RM50 transactions on Nov, I am supposed to only see my cash back on the 28th Dec right?

And since my statement is only until 27th Dec, so I will only see my Nov cash back on the following month's (27th Jan) statement right? Because for my 27th Dec statement, I still have not seen any of my Nov's cash back.
*
yes.

this scenario is a bit tricky to track, so, perhaps you could request to change your bill date?

just notice that hongleong connect cannot pay online for celcom and hotlink using Wise card.. u guys got any method to pay this bill online?
*
Celcom postpaid or prepaid? If postpaid, use uobpayonline.

For hotlink, if ur category is Grocery, then go to Tesco.

postpaid... i dont have uob account.. can pay also?
*
uobpayonline can be used by anyone thumbup.gif

i use this to pay celcom postpaid bills too. if bill >RM100, split it to RM50 each transaction.

p/s: For Hotlink, if not mistaken, can pay/reload via https://pay.maxis.com.my

I don't really understand what it means. My poor English...
I just worry they calculate wrong again.
Example it means like :
Statement 1 :  31 Dec - 27 Jan : 20 x RM50 petrol = RM100 rebate ( will get on next statement)
Statement 2 :  28 Jan - 24 Feb : 20 x RM50 petrol = RM100 rebate (RM100 from January statement) , This month RM100 only reflect on next statement.

I had problem with Hong Leong Wise card many times before as they miscalculate my rebates. They pay me back rebates later after complain... Their CS is good... got reply and feedback...
I even do an excel containing all transaction. May be they miscalculate mine transaction again. So need call back again.
It made me very confusing. Some rebate not rebate to me but i let it go lately....no call complain as i get free pensonic thermo pot (last time promo swipe how many amount get free)and pensonic tower fan(i don't know why they give me .. may be i swipe ngam ngam on their promo).

The WORST THING 2nd year i had to pay RM160 annual fee + RM50 GST. The GSC card waive for both. This card good for no need queue during buy food and beverage...
Can't waive...
*
what's you definition of "statement 1" and "statement 2"? rclxub.gif credit card statement? the dates are not consistent.

Any idea what time will they update their posting? I am expecting 3 to be posted today but nothing is seen yet.
*
who are they? HLB?

posting to where? HLB Connect?

when did you swipe?

generally, usually by 3rd day.

e.g. swipe 31 Dec, posted to your cc account 1 Jan (you can roughly know if your CL decreased), HLB Connect only refreshed and show the transaction on 2 Jan.

Sorry. HLB on HLB Connect. MaxisPay usually get posted T+2 day. Transacted on 29Dec, expect to see posting date @ 31dec.
*
most likely late posting to 31-Dec instead of 30-Dec, that means tomorrow can see it in HLB Connect.

anyone here use wise card and pump caltex?

I just notice in my statement, when i use the card at caltex counter/cashier it's not categorised as petrol.
the reason i swipe card at counter is because the card terminal at pump do not accept their own journey card yet. damn
*
only now u noticed this?

it's been discussed numerous times that Wise wont recognize petrol counter/cashier (aka service station with MCC 5541) as "petrol".

Wise only recognize petrol pump (aka Automated Fuel Dispensers with MCC 5542) as "petrol" category.

All sifu, WISE transaction rebate is based on single transaction or total up of the amount u spent in your rebate category?
ex : pump petrol RM 65 + 86 + 95 = RM 246
rebate is RM 7 + RM 9 + RM10 = RM 26
or rebate is RM246 * 10% = RM 24.60 = RM 25
*
summation of all transactions per category, then rounded up to nearest RM1.

to get best "kiasu" return, in each category, try to hit total amount with RM5 (e.g. RM105, RM225, RM385, etc). This way, the category total will always round up in the cashback calculations.

this can be done easily with Mobile and Petrol, a pain to do with Grocery laugh.gif

Nope, even with groceries you still can hit it, just do some estimations. On last transaction, buy single item or items that don't have **.99 or **.88.
*
already tried 2 days back. sometime can, sometime cannot.

from shelf price, can hit ngam ngam amount that i want (RM11.45). when checkout, one of the item got discount (total RM10). i was like... FUUUUUUUUUUUUUUUUUUUUUUUUUU laugh.gif laugh.gif laugh.gif

I called to ask for waiver for annual fee on my card and supp card, they dun want to waive it for me. Think to cancel it and change to other card. When sign up the sales person say just call in to waive. sad.gif

QUOTE(Prodigenous Zee @ Jan 2 2015, 10:12 AM)
Seems like a common trick from the sales person to entice people to get this card. Other forummers have reported the same..
*
agree! always do homework! dont get succumb to gimmicks by sales minions.

when i gotten my Wise card, i've been reading LYN topics for about 6 months! laugh.gif

always trust b&w terms & conditions. verbal promises from sales minions doesnt hold any water, in fact, minions "blow water" just to meet their target. unethical, yes you can complaint, but you already committed with the actual T&Cs upon signing up with HLB itself.

Ok my worst nightmare occured.
annual fee charged on 1st of January.

Should i call and ask for waiver?
Or listen to supersound so that i don't wast emy time and energy.
*
why not?

if you call, at least 50% chance to get it waived. if you dont, 100% wont get any waiver.

How you calculate your 50% oo, based on our LYN sample I would say closer to 5%. But still >> 0%, so yeah just go call, no loss.
*
Not sampling size. 50/50 to get an answer from CS.

When I applied for this card, the promoter told me the AF can't be waive. This is the bank policy for this card. If you want a card with AF waived, she suggests me to go for other card. The reason is the cash back this card offer is too good. I am sure most of us in this forum know that wise card is the card AF can't be waived under normal circumstance.
*
Correct. No harm making a call just try our luck anyway.

We don't know what are the exact policies or requirements to get it waived either (as some did).

Even my handling agent asked me to expect to pay the AF first, then call in to TRY to get it waived. Nobody knows what has changed 1year later.

my statement cycle is 3rd monthly, but can only see total amount but not details...

Yeah, ever since hlb introduced estatement, now need few days to show up the details.

Previously, the details are available immediately after bill date.

i think i kena AF also...quite weird as the sales agent told me that first year AF and GST is waived and i never use HLB cc before...
looks like have to call cs again...
*
RM50 GST is automatically charged to your card on approval date. Pay this first as per statement.

RM50 rebate is given for new signup. I got mine exactly 1 month after approval. This is a rebate for the RM50 GST earlier.

Year 1 AF would be waived (charge + waiver) if you swipe 1x within 45 days after card approval. I got mine waived exactly 2 months after approval.

Ok i gotta know that my card been terminated. I called to ask for waiver, cs say cannot waive for cashback card. I request her to submit the request to waive the annual fee otherwise will consider to cancel this card. She said centre will call me in 3-4 working days on approval of waiver.

End up nobody call me and my card is terminated. Rubbish.
*
card termination was a separate request or automatically executed?
