Shoooooot!! I think I missed the January's rebate! Just checked HLB online and found that my transactions are not posted! Anyone use PayOnline on or after 27th Jan? Any problem?

These are the transactions I have done:
27th Jan : Made 3 transactions via MaxisPay Online using Wise card > Received confirmation email on 27th > All 3 transactions posted on 27th.
27th Jan : Made 5 TNB transactions via UOB PayOnline using Wise card > Received confirmation email on 27th > NONE transactions posted til today.
27th Jan : Made 1 HLB Life Insurance via UOB PayOnline using RHB VS card > Received confirmation email on 28th > NONE transactions posted til today.
27th Jan : Made another 5 TNB transactions via UOB PayOnline using Wise card > Received confirmation email on 28th > NONE transactions posted til today.

All transactions are done between 5:30am to 8:00am.

My all previous transactions never faced this issue. Referring to the 3rd and 4th items, also wonder why I only receive the confirmation one day later while 1st and 2nd received on the same day. Notice the inconsistency there.

And the worst part is I missed the rebate as a whole!  flex.gif  vmad.gif  mad.gif

UPDATE: Just checked TNB online and found that all the payments are not updated on TNB website, so I supposed the transactions never gone through. But how come I received the Approved email from PayOnline. Dang....... rclxub.gif

Do you know that out of a month, the last 1 week HLB has the most technical issues?
For me, to avoid this problem, I always complete the quota by 3rd week of the month.

Guys,
I read and found someone talk about "payonline" and "Hotlink".
Can I pay for certain bill and topup for Hotlink (Maxis prepaid users)?

If yes, for Hotlink top up, then I can get 10% cash rebate with my WISE card?
*
Yes, you can by using Maxis Pay.
Still, you need to full fill the rm50 X10 requirement first then only you can get cash back.
Like you need to do rm50 X10 on other categories you selected and top up rm10 to your Hotlink which giving you 8.25% cash back.

My TNB billing date is 25th/26th so i can't pay any earlier. Another alternative is to pay later in the following month.
No I don't agree. For many months I never have any issues with HLB for transactions on the last week of the month. If u read my case properly, u would notice it's most likely PayOnline screwed up the transactions. If it was HLB problem, then why RHB transaction also never captured?
*
Billing date comes late is not a problem as you can do the calculation manually. You can do advance payment which gives you more control on getting the max cash back.
Also, Payonline will have problem on the end of month, either RHB or HLB is the culprit.

QUOTE(sam240 @ Feb 3 2015, 08:20 PM)
Yeah, of course must full till the RM50x10.
So Hotlink is 8.25% cash back, that's good.
But, how to apply/access the payonline?
*
Nope, the actual cash back for all are only 8.25%, that is with your cash back are getting rm100 each month. GST and AF you need to include in and the hanky panky they are palying with us like refusing cash back if they can. I just lost rm5 for last month.
You need to open a Maxis Pay account, much more easier on paying maxis bills/Hotlink top up.

You can never manually calculate to get the exact amount. You never know when TNB come to check meter.
*
Always take the monthly average and pay extra thumbup.gif
My TNB until today always rm-20. This -rm20 will be used to offset the additional power used.

oh, so for example:

Jan:
RM100 x 10 = RM1000 (get 8.25%)
RM1000 - RM82.50 = RM917.50
I pay for RM917.50?

Sorry, Maxis Pay is .... register until HLB website? Maxis website? Maxis office?
*
https://pay.maxis.com.my/maxis-web-adapter/welcome.web
Nope, you will still getting rm100 when you spend rm950-1000. The AF and GST will be charged annually.
So you need to pay only rm900 all the time, unless you spend lesser or extra.

That is because your consumption is on average +-rm20 every month but mine can be as low as rm500 or as high rm3200. So ur assumption is not a smart move in mine.

And I see u always highlight 8.25% "actual" cash back which is not actual at all. Please don't confuse anymore new user as you have just confused one.
#1 not every is using gold.
#2 not everyone will use more than one year. If use one year or less then cancel, cashback is still 10% or may be even more.
*
By reading your reply, you are telling me that your meter you can't read it, only the TNB meter reader can read it with their "special" gadget whistling.gif
Again, if your bill is at rm3200, is better to use other cash back or points card to pay the balance rm2200. But, yup, almost forgot, you can't take the meter reading your self doh.gif
Indeed you are right, as some people prefer to hold platinum card rather than gold card, just to show off. My calculation is based on cheapskate's gold card and being charged rm210 from 2nd year onward.

Thanks for the link. Will try later.
This is my 1st time use, so I ignore the GST and AF first...haha...
oh ya, how about the first time RM50 government charges? I can get it cash back on 3rd month after swipe 3 times (something like this?)

Is there possible to topup for other telcom? (celcom,digi....etc)
Yeah, I'm new user. OK, I just need to know I will get 10% as long as met RM50 x 10  thumbup.gif
oh, I lagi confuse. Nvm, I understoodd what you told me up there. I just need to know 10%  sweat.gif
*
Yup, 1st year you will be getting full 10% if you spend ~rm1000. Second year onward will need to pay rm210. That's make you 8.25%, which is still highest among all banks.
Some even cancel the card when they have to pay the AF.
So far only Maxis are easy, others I not that sure.
That rm50 I also forgot when to get it back. I never bother as I target to get rm100 every month.

I see. Yeah...maybe will use for 11 months only, will cancel before AF... Yeah, if every month can get RM100, that's very good deal.
I just worry how hard to follow up / make sure all my transactions are RM50 x 10 in that month  sweat.gif
Some times, not more than 10 times.... maybe...so a bit dangerous
*
Basically you need to have strategy to use this bloody card.
1-2 weeks time, complete 10 transactions with rm50.
Then slow down your spending and start calculating.
And when reach 20th, complete rm1000. Usually paying my Maxis bill will be the last part as I can control the spending.

haha, thanks for the tips.
So for 29th to 31th.....can consider will be next month count?

As a new user here, if I can hit RM1800 within 60days, I can get free luggage which is not bad.
*
Not really, first 6 months I was doing the same and I can tell you that, some will fall on same month(when my rm1000 quota reached) and some times it goes to next month(when quota no reached). Some says swiping in thestore which using HLB terminal can get it posted on the same day but I tried before and it took 2 days to get posted and worst case, it is not under groceries even I bought cooking oil doh.gif

Another.... what is UOB payonline? Can pay go thru WISE too?
But this will be under which category?
*
People are using UOB payonline to pay utilities bill. But I guess this 2 months it will have problem when nearing end of month.

the utilities bill, included Masjid Perbadanan State? Electric? TM?

For me, every month as long as can entitle get 10% cash back even not hit RM100 I'm still happy with it.
Just worry if only RM50 x 9, then that month earn nothing cash back which is bad.
*
Something like that.
And if you can't spend rm1000 a month, is not worth to apply.

Every month if focus one card, yes...can over RM1k, but the question is....my 2 selected category will never over RM1k, so will never enjoy RM100 cash back every month. But the total cash back will still better than my other card, so still worth for me....  blush.gif

Grocery and Petrol.

Wow, thanks for this info. Great to know.
*
Basically you must choose the 2+1 that can gives you ~rm1000.
But grocery you may buy something that can sell back later. Stuffs like 2KG(or + 200, 300G)Milo will be good option. I'm doing the same, about 5-10 bags I'm selling to coffee shops.

Is it so difficult as it sounds? Must complete 10 transactions in 1-2 weeks la then slow down la and calculate la bla bla...

Petrols, groceries (including touch n go top up), mobile, utilities can be done in RM50 transactions very easily. And why must reach 20th? The RM50 spendings are "minimum rm50", not "must be rm50". 10xRM50 + 2xRM250 also RM1000 what.

As for the spending control (below 1000 to avoid wastage), just monitor ur transaction record/outstanding balance online once in a while will do. After reached 1000 then start using secondary card. Easy.
*
This is to make sure I'm getting rm100 of cash back.
My highest record to get a transaction posted is 9 days doh.gif
Most of the groceries I won't buy during end of month, so for the first 2 weeks, I can easily hit 10 transactions.
Like now I'm working in overseas, it will be faster when I'm back home again.
Usually first 10 I don't really bother much, rm50-100 per transaction.

oh, if that way, I prefer stand in petrol station, maybe one day can earn RM50 to RM80 (deduct discount to those people who pay in cash) hahaha
I plan to apply essential card too, which no need to headache, everything 1%...settle....
Essential card also will start charge for annual fee and gov tax on 2nd year? can waive both of these?

wow...that's great idea...
*
Standing in petrol station might be good, but the transactions must be done on the pump's terminal. So if the fellow pay you rm50 and pump rm52 and he refuse to pay rm2, then you will in trouble.
I still feel buying Milo and sell out is better as my order always got more than others.

QUOTE(akh2920 @ Feb 4 2015, 11:26 AM)
I usually only make sure i got cashback around RM95-100, then start using second card which gives me 5% cash back... Makes my life easier tongue.gif
*
Nope, my spending are fixed at rm1000 max for STUPID and balance all with MBB dual cards.
STUPID for petrol, groceries and Maxis while MBB for TNB, Screamyx and other spending.

QUOTE(sam240 @ Feb 4 2015, 11:29 AM)
5%, which card?
*
MBB's dual card, if most of your spending can use AMEX, it is close to 6%. Get slightly more if you changing to AeonBig's gift card and spend on 28th each month.

QUOTE(akh2920 @ Feb 4 2015, 11:42 AM)
MBB amex. Good for petrol and groceries (and anywhere else that support amex)

Hence I got RM100 (HLB Wise) + RM50 (MBB Amex) = RM150 cashback cap each month. Not to mention I got a tertiary card UOB One to absorb all "others" spending (which neither fall into 3 Wise categories nor supports amex) at 0.3% cashback uncapped, and usually manage to get a few ringgits from it every month lol.
*
UOB's T&C are quite complicated, that's why I never take it. If getting few rm only each month, it is not enough to offset GST.

UOB's AF and GST can be easily waived, that's why i retained the card. Ya T&C complicated for 5% petrol, thats why i only utilise its 0.3% for "others" category.
*
That's my second card. It really make us stupid when buying groceries.

Just receive annual fee at rm160.
Anyone manage to waive it by calling the CS? Every month I'm getting average 80 cashback so actually 160 is still worth in the long run.

I'm using these cards at the moment
Wise card - petrol, utilities - TnB & Syabas, mobile - maxis
MBB 2 cards - Weekend - Unifi, Dining and groceries at AEON
HSBC amanah - Astro, weekend dining if Amex was not accepted. Apply this because free tablet and free rm250. My backup card with 1% oversea and 0.3% local
*
2nd year or 3rd year of using? 2nd year still able to get it waived depending on luck.

Hi, when does the rm100 rebate show up in my online account? Don't see anything yet..
*
On 30th each month, if your statement date on end of month, then it won't show online but on your monthly statement which you can view online 1-3 days after end of the month.

QUOTE(knight @ Feb 4 2015, 10:36 PM)
Guys. I'm new to Wise Card. My first Statement did not show the rebate. Now I just received my second statement and I still yet to receive my first statement rebate.

Both of my statement spending is more than 10 transaction with minimum RM50.

Is it normal for the first two month rebate to show at the third month statement?
*
1st statement won't show cash back. Only 2nd month onward you will see the cash back.
And even if you swipe according to the categories you choose does not means you can get cash back.
Swipe card for petrol at counter will result to rm0 cash back most of the time and you must swipe at the pump's terminal.
Groceries not all Aeon are entitled for cash back, even the terminal are registered as groceries.
Dining even better, you need to try and error.

QUOTE(luvox @ Feb 5 2015, 12:14 AM)
I got my new card n activate in 10th dec 2014. I manage to fulfil the criteria for cash rebate (more than 10 transection posted above rm50 for the categories) However, my second statement for january, cash rebate is not there. Is it normal? N combine both dec & jan cash rebate in the coming 3rd statement (feb statement) that will receive in March?
