Regarding the 30% cash back, just called CS, she said if registered after the swipes, those transactions are not counted. So register and then start swiping. Also, let's say if you have 3 HLB principle cards, you are entitled to get 30% cash back for each of your cards. Provided you have swiped a total of 9 times (3 for each card).

I was not convinced yet, so I asked her, "True or not? T&C doesn't state that.", to which she replied, "Yes sir, I read it directly from the T&C, the one posted on hlb.com.my is not very detailed." doh.gif
*
Typical misleading replies by CS's officer. Seems like this is their SOP. Last time when I'm having problem with my cash back also they are bringing me rounding the national garden.

Thanks supersound. Yes I know. I just contact the Customer Service. Found out its very weird that only my first and second statement's rebate will only show in my 3rd Statement.

Confused with his explanation. And yes, he say 28th every month rebate is out. That's why it only reflected on the next statement. But how come my last two month rebate don't shows in my last months statement? I'm dun understand why. Any idea? Is it me only or everyone is the same for the first few months?
*
My statement date also in 28th each month.
And to avoid confusion and excuse for HLB to deny cash back, you must complete the rm1000 by 3rd week.
If you full fill the requirement on 1st month, you shall be getting cash back on 2nd month, meaning Dec spending, cash back shall be reflect on Jan statement.
If not, then your Dec spending does not meets the requirement.

Cool bro. Thought u said many people has reported such case n it with so many reported cases n we still continue to use the uob payonline in such a manner, like the 10th transaction on vety last minute n if it happen again, want to blame who? The card is yours, the pattern or way of usage is your devision, n most Important, the money is yours.
*
Doing any transaction close to end of months is same as jumping bare foot from Tower 1 to Tower 2 on the top floor of twin towers.
When I'm saying sure will have problem when trying luck on this, all attacked me. But when the sheet happens, try to blame third party doh.gif doh.gif

QUOTE(theozis @ Feb 8 2015, 10:12 AM)
looks like uob payonline having problem after Jan 20...my transaction in middle of Jan has no issue but Jan 28 and Feb 4 all failed...received email said tht the transaction has been approved during payment time but yesterday another email said all failed...did call cs and they said the transaction needs about one week to proceed but seems like different story....
*
For a third party system like UOB payonline to fail, the fault are not by them no matter what happens.
All the time the fault is from card issuing bank.
When I'm making a payment using credit card, it will be settled on the end of day and will keep float for the next 24 hours.
Attached Image
I got "double" charge for rm140 which later I got "refund". Call the shop(as he is my friend) and they only charged once and only get rm140. This means banks has the rights to "refund" a transaction if they want when they deem fraud taken place.
Seems like HLB will block transactions using third party system. If this problem does not settle, suggest to change category hmm.gif

You could be right IF all the pple reported here are only HLB BUT I have used both HLB and RHB on the same day and both failed. And on top of that, I have called up BOTH HLB and RHB asking about the transactions, the both bank also say they have no records about the transaction. There is no attempt and no request of payment at all. So now the problem can only fall back to UOB Payonline.
*
Is pretty simple, if you insist that UOB payonline are giving the trouble, then don't use it whistling.gif

Hi, I'm a little confuse about the RM50x 10 count.
Is count by month (1st - 31st)?
Then when is the statement date?

If my statement date on 15th every month and I already full fill RM50 x 10 AND CB hit cap RM100, then after 15th, can I still enjoy 10% CB any more?

Need some advise, thanks.
*
Change your statement date on end or beginning of the month, easier for you to keep track.
What ever it is, you shall not swipe 7 days before end of month.
No doubt the cash back are calculate base on posting date, but sometimes it can coincidentally posted on next month if your quota of rm100 not reached or coincidentally posted on the same month when your quota reached sweat.gif

Then she point me to the banner which have a small writing saying Sat and Sun only.
Smart move by AEON Big and HLB to con customer.

Yes. The sms state weekends only. But surprisingly for the first 30 customers ? This is unfair. There is no way to know if we are part of the first 30 even if transaction is before 11am.

very very likely it's based on posting date since HLB tends to recognize eligibility with actual charged amount instead of transacted amount (can be cancelled by user or merchant)

the whole T&C clause #6 mention about posting of transactions to the card.

again, HLB's product managers doesnt learn from customer's complaints, especially on transaction date vs posting date.  doh.gif
*
Nope, you are wrong on this, product manager do know their products as they are the people that come out with a product.
Is their duty to mislead customers.
At any 1 time they know better than us on each product being released.
Or are you trying to tell others that a product are being released by loan manager doh.gif

hi guys, just want to check, now that GST is kicking in, we no longer need to pay the RM50 GST, however do we still need to pay the annual fees? or the GST implementation will remove the annual fees structure as well?

and let's say my annual fees will be billed on the 1st of july (referred to my previous statement), do i need to call for a waiver before 1st of july, or after it is posted online? if it's posted online, even if i want to cancel the card, the annual fees has already been charged. what's the best recommendation or suggestion? kinda noob when it comes to annual fees waiving, and cancelling to avoid the annual fees being imposed
*
1st year will be free on AF but you may need to pay the 6% of GST.
2nd year(if you are not the lucky 1), AF + GST have to pay.

I mean, should i call in for a waiver before or after AF has been charged? If after, when i cancel the card if they do not waive it, means i gotta pay the af also?
*
You may call and try your luck.
That's why you must get rm100 cash back every month for every year. Then even if you got charged on AF, the total rm1200 cash back you got will be able to offset the AF+GST which makes the actual cash back of 8.25%(for gold card).

R u sure 5% card holder can get?

I'm 1 of them laugh.gif
And if they are going to waive, they won't charge in the first place.
Once they charged you the AF, it is very hard to get it waived.

i am one of the second year annual fee waived for wise card. my third year annual fee cannot be waived. then i cut the card alr. after one week, cs call me to confirm the cancellation. then she persuades me not cut the card and tell me if i pay the annual fee and gst, i still can get 8.25 percent rebate for rm1200 rebate per year . however, i still cut the card since she didnt waive the annual fee to my third year.

i also tell her to change policy for 8 percent rebate and dont charge the annual fee and i will maintain it. and she just laugh. finally, say byebye to my wise card which with me for two years.

howver, my wife will apply the wise card after gst implementation. i will be bc soon.
*
Well, if you calculate properly, you won't be getting 10% actually. 8.25% to be exact, still higher than others if you know how to play the game.
