You don't need max AA when you go 1440p, the higher resolution already compensated for the AA. If you really insist to max setting (unless you have eagle eyes or you just want to show off), then try SLI 970.
I see, so far only have 1080p to test, i heard this also, 4k likely dont need any AA, but 1440p will check it out. Probably wont have the budget to buy monitor also, there is a new dell monitor, 25" with 1440p reso? like RM1300, will check it out if got budget some day.

MSAA is a real killer to GPU perf, it can nearly halve the FPS

Wow, Thats hurt, I havent check what AA is that in my game, mostly play MechWarrior Online, like Post AA? Not sure, well, play other games also, probably on 2x or 4x.

AA is overrated. I stick to 2. 4 at most.
AA was introduced to eliminate jaggies but nowadays Full HD on 24in or smaller monitor, the difference is so little and you won't have time to spot them.
maybe some of the games wont notice, but the one i played, like MechWarrior Online, Its very obvious without AA, jaggies!
Hopefully my coming card wont have the coil whine problem, some said need burn in? the longer u use the card, the silent it is, oh well, i can accept that. Haha. Most said on v-sync will solve the problem, like only having coil whine with very high fps, usually in menu. Some occurred in benchmark too. We will see.
