After playing my phone for a week, I am waiting for Xiaomi Redmi Note... Really curious how it compares against my iP6+. (And I'm getting it cos it is so damn cheap! Probably give it away after I'm done playing.)

I would say that your definition of multitasking and my definition would be different.

For me multitasking does not have to mean simultaneously running two (or more) apps on the screen. If I listen to music while typing a document, that's multitasking. AirPlay video or audio to a TV while browsing Twitter, that's multitasking. Downloading a movie while typing an email, that's multitasking. Going by your definition, the iPhone has true multitasking too (since it can deal with more than one task at any one time).

Furthermore, if you say the Galaxy S5 or HTC One (M8) has better multitasking, why did it finish slower than the iPhone 6 in the video? If they can run multiple apps simultaneously like you say, then they shouldn't have to reload any app when switching between apps. The app should still be running, yet in the video we see some apps have to be reloaded (ie. look at Galaxy S5 in the video, on the second round it has to reload Photoshop from scratch, but the iPhone already has it loaded from the first round.)

Granted, the Galaxy Note (not sure about the S5) can run more than one app on the screen simultaneously, but the use cases of doing so on a smartphone I think is quite limited. Like one recent Samsung ad showed someone watching a movie while writing an email on his smartphone, I would think that is not an enjoyable experience.

To share my humble opinion, you guys are expecting too much from a phone with a single mini screen.
Its just a phone, is not en effing 3 screens computer where you can open up few programs and use them at once like what we can do with our home desktop.
Just tell me one thing, why do you need apps running simultaneously on one single screen? Do you have 20 fingers?
If we are talking about apps running in the background, then yes we need that. For instance, music app.

You have got a point there. It is because all these fanboy'ism is that the Apple productd are priced this high and people are still buying their stuff. I agree that we are not appleminddroids with the 'Apple can do no wrong' mentality. If its not good then we should critize and look forward to improvements.
