How much ram do we actually get when we hard reset Mini leaving only the manufacturer programmes?

After installing several games and software, I only got 11MB left?!!

Wah Digilife the idea you give sounds really cool... But dual core for PPC a bit too much lor... Haha.

Maybe not core duo la... five years into the future with O2 Exec Future with Core 4 duo. Maybe...

SAMSUNG is much like AMD in PDA World. They arent popular , but they produce cheap and superb chip. The samung processor on my rx3715 runs pretty good...Beats the crap out of an Intel PXA272 312Mhz processor. But that thing beats my samsung CPU in certain tests [mostly FPU Tests , I guess its because of MMX

Not sure which you are referring to...

1. Big Storage Hack - Hack the extended rom so that you can use it as storage and after you did it, you got around 28MBs (IIRC) to install programs/files.

2. Soft reset after a hard-reset - After doing screen allignment, the default programs will start automatic installation. Do a soft reset to avoid that. Then just install a couple of files from the extended rom (such as MMS protocol, operator setting, camera wizard, etc) and by doing-so, you save like 5MB of RAM (IIRC).

Well, for me, I never had problems with RAM.. here's what I do..

1. After a hardreset (with trick no. 2), usually used up very little of ram. Probably around 5-6MB.. so still plenty to spend..
2. Install Ringo, SBS iLauncher (Pocket Plus takes too much RAM) on RAM..
3. Takes about 3-4MB of ringtone to my documents...
4. Installed everything else in storage card.

In the end, I got 20+MB of ram for runtime programs and another 6MB for storage.. will make tiny adjustment between programs n storage when playing games.. the only time when RAM will b low is when using Opera.. Opera eats Ram like hell.. so I stopped surfing via mini.. it makes it laggy

Hmmm some good pointers there... You mean SPB Pocket Plus eats RAM eh? I suspected that too. Seriously 64 MB of RAM these days really not much la. Newer devices should have at least 128 MB to begin with. Of which, the only device I can think of is the O2 Xda 2S.

My cousin gave me his O2 mini. I tried to connect PC and O2 using activesync but failed. The PC could not detect the present of the O2. I used cable to connect them. Anyone could help? Tks in advance.

Maybe you should reinstall your ActiveSync? What version are u using? Also maybe you should try to leave the Mini on while you connect the device. Normally even if Mini is off it will turn on when it is connected to PC, but in ur case you may wanna try leaving it on first. Check if your USB port at the Mini is working too...

yup ur mini have too be on and better not use activesync 4.0 above cos that versions is for WM5

Btw, ggsam2006, you mentioned 828 in the previous post is it referring to DOPOD 828 being upgrade to DOPOD 818? But in the picture it looked more like a Mini than any DOPOD at all!!! But any case, if can get it done for Mini will be really cool...SIgh...

i've read all on this new mini club, and im now in the half way of the old mini club...

i would like to ask abt navii remote...when try that software on astro decoder, it seems the software has bug, coz i can only sent a single signal,example, i press 71 for mtv,but the decoder only receive 7 and turn to ntv...when i press menu on my mini,it works, but after that, all button canot use ady, like it just can use once only... how come har?

and why each time i connect using active sync, it requires to open a new partnership?now my pc got so many device ady but all r the same...

We can try sending you stuff but it will still be better if you do your own search cos we wouldnt know what exactly you are looking for and what you prefer and consider as useful to you. Another thing is, are you sure your hotmail account can accomodate large files? My hotmail storage is only 20MB le!

Most if not all PPCs cannot use MP3s as SMS tones la. Minis, Atoms, Execs all cannot use MP3 for this purpose. Only WAV files allowed.

As for your active sync, dont they prompt you to choose/create new profile each time you sync? Stick to that one profile and you wont get all sorts of names with same stuff in it.

What version activesync you using? Try reinstalling one with version lower than 4.0 and see?
I got MSN, but in my stupid Uni they have banned all types of chat programs and P2P. Little little also ban. Lucky this forum I can still access le, who knows they are monitoring my traffic here and may soon ban me!
Anyway I will be trying to send you Memmaid to your Yahoo mail soon la. But if you can read CHinese, go to pdabase or pxdxa.com to get all you want for free. The links to them in first post of this thread. Also look for Oxios Hibernate. Much simpler and smaller app which can also help free RAM.

what is the use of close apps and hibernate? sounds like clear memory but my storage memory and program memory still the same....
