Yeah, will use it for second phone.

I like the smoothness and the dark look of WP. And, I like the UI on some apps.

In serious debate to ditch iOS back to Windows Phone again, possibly with Lumia 830.

temporary will not buy Windows phone . Been a user for Nokia Lumia 800 and Samsung ATIV S

It not because windows phone not good, its all because the usable application is really little or not available.

Even available, its all very old and not update version. Microsoft should give it a hits on this.
In the smartphone era, it not because how fluid your OS , its about the usable apps.

I use to be IOS user actually. I can't actually tell you the comparisons with android as i have not used it long enough to be a good judge.

In the beginning i did find it difficult to switch. But after awhile i fell in love.

Things i like:
- UI
- Camera (lowlight capabilities are awesome)
- design
- You don't need major high end specs for your device to run smoothly
- honestly the third party apps can be more awesome than the original ones
- Live tiles
- and a lot of smaller details

It really depends what you look for in a phone though smile.gif

Thanks..

My future phone, I would need it to have

1/ Can capture good pictures
2/ Support Widgets to put on screen, especially Calender widgets
3/ Productive on emails and documents
4/ Battery life

Windows able to fulfill the above?

yes, I just buy Lumia 530 to replace my old cracked-screen Lumia 900 8 months ago.. I'm in dilemma between Zenfone 4 or Lumia530 (budget phone).

Finally I chose Lumia 530 due to it's Offline GPS biggrin.gif

Want to upgrade into Lumia 735 or 830 after this. smile.gif

It has everything you require smile.gif

Battery life is quite subjective. depends on which model you opt for. To be honest battery life is subjective to most people depending on their usage and requirement.

TQ..

But I thought Windows phone cannot handle widgets? Are you referring to the widgets in the Tile form?

Calender widget is important for me. I put the widget taking up the whole screen of my Android. So I can see at a glance my coming activities without need to press into the Calender app.

There's two ways of achieving this in Windows Phone :

The first method is to use third party calendar app (Cal, Simple Calendar) and pin it to your home screen. Most of these calendar app shows more event on the live tiles compare to the built in calendar app.

Here's an example of how the Cal app will look like on your home screen:

The second method is to use third party app that use your lock screen. Apps like Simple Calendar will display a maximum of 6 event on your lock screen

Here's an example of how the Simple Calendar app will look like on your lock screen (Note : You can put any wallpaper you want while still displaying your appointment on your lockscreen)

Thanks for the info.

Seems the widgets in Android still mire superior. I will put two calender widgets on 2 screens. Each widgets takes one full phone page. Why two? Coz one is viewing in month. Another for tasks viewing. In task widgets, I can still scroll down to see all the tasks which cannot be displayed in one full screen. I guess window tile cannot do scrolling within the tile?

Perhaps you can try Lumia 530, the cheapest one, purposely to tryout the system.
Though, lack of auto focus camera, magnetometer, for me it is quiet problem in cheap Lumia 530.
If you want that feature, maybe Lumia 735 suite you.
