Now, I'm a bit undecided. XCOM Enemy Unknown on a PC or on a mobile device /tablet?
Reviews suggest that the port to mobile devices is very good, almost like the full experience on PC. But well you know, gaming on a mobile device is kinda convenient hehe

Anyone who owns both versions and can care to comment?

Wouldn't mind having both versions but to play through the same game twice on both platform is very time consuming lol
I own both version so here is my review:
If you want the best version, play the PC version because PC has Enemies Within and 150+ maps. Not to mention, all the fancy shader effects only present on PC such as plasma heat effect, specular textures on the armor and so on. Enemies Within is a huge game changer which literally changed how you play the game for the better. I find it hard to play it on a tablet after EW.
The tablet version plays essentially the same as PC as there arent any gameplay modification. However there are a lot of changes in content where you only have 50 maps in the tablet version, compare to 100+ on EU PC. Most of those 50 maps are those road tileset maps where you have lots of explosive cars, less covers and smaller maps that resulted a much harder game because you cannot gain ground advantage for snipers, less covers and explosive cars that will instant kill in early game. You have far less maps with buildings than PC so you'll be seeing those small maps that is based on highways or roads more. There is also no customisation options as you cannot change the appearance of your soldiers. I heard the Android version is quite bad as it might crash a lot depending on hardware.
Also, the most important thing, this game is a serious battery drain on tablets. It takes up to 25% of my iPad Mini battery per mission and I did have flat battery 7-8 games while the performance feels like it hovers between 20-30 so it can be a bit sluggish.
I actually wont recommend the tablet version as the PC version is by far superior now due to EW and more content on PC.
If you have an iPad, try FTL, Space Hulk or Hearthstone on tablets, that one is a vastly superior experience on tablet than PC. Skulls of Shogun and Hitman GO is also great on tablets that is also available on Android.
