QUOTE(ik3da @ Sep 29 2014, 05:32 PM) This unker isnt dispensing good advise. Especially the shotgun part. Money mostly spent for the great lord GabeN. Aint got much left. /k standard is more like ada banyak duit, ada satu awek/amoi cause having 1 cent also considered as ada wang. This post has been edited by Cheesenium: Sep 29 2014, 05:36 PM |

QUOTE(talexeh @ Sep 29 2014, 05:40 PM) Keeping it short & single, though this doesn't necessarily apply in all cases. ik3da has both. Steam games and waifu. If you love Steam, forget waifu. If you want waifu, prepare to let go of your Steam account. Also a lot of shoes. QUOTE(wingdover @ Sep 29 2014, 05:43 PM) Never heard Illegear sells PC, if you mean laptop, I suggest to stay away from Gigabyte, because need to send to Gigabyte instead of Illegear, and those custom hardware warranty cannot handle by Gigabyte. Their customer service not bad, but service takes very long time. Somemore got bloatware. It I can choose again, I will get either RE or RS. Illegear also handle Gigabyte RMA though while I will be bringing one overseas which RE or RS only covered in Malaysia. The Clevo spare parts are extremely expensive so DIY is very much out of option.Happy Shopping:) Which Gigabyte model did you get? P25X? Or P34G? Are you facing any issues in the past? I am thinking of getting a P25X. I really doubt Gigabyte is worse than Asus in terms of reliability and their service centre. Asus destroys your 6k laptop because a lot of their technician are not trained to handle these laptops. I hope Gigabyte doesnt. My father has an old tablet PC from Gigabyte which he got it in 2004, it still work flawlessly till now. |

QUOTE(talexeh @ Sep 29 2014, 05:44 PM) Like I said, this rules apply in majority of the relationships out there. I dont mind offering shoes, handbags or clothes as tributes for me to keep buying more Steam games. The shoes are offered as tributes, to prevent the Wrath of the Waifu quest line which might cause -80% morale, -80% happiness, +50% money and also might cause Termination of Gaming outcome.Even ik3da is not spared since he needs to bribe his wife with shoes. |

QUOTE(ik3da @ Sep 29 2014, 05:52 PM) Haha, duit really makes a lot of diff. Other than that, a car and a decent job or family business in hand. If you are still in college/uni then you can still wait till later to worry bout it but knowing you and memphiz, I don't think that college/uni is applicable already lol. Nope, doesnt apply for me. My time has passed, unless I go back to uni for Masters. Hahaha, as much as Gaben might smite me, you mau Gaben or waifu? A waifu who wants you when you are poor is either one of a million kind or really kena con by you already. FYI I think I conned mine (I never told her how much addicted I am with gaming, muahaha) *Serious /k/ note; » Click to show Spoiler - click again to hide... « Dont have a decent car or a business that I can show off. If I tell you about my work, I think even you think im a useless bum. It is not a glamorous job but it is my job to work with people to ensure they have enough water for daily use. The part about keeping my gaming low profile from now, thats kinda true. I know my ex hates games too, which at the end I stopped dota for her because it was actually affecting my studies. Still quite grateful to her for that, though but I dont think i'll ever stop gaming entirely. What am I gonna do with my free time? Multiplayer gaming like MMO or MOBA, definitely yes because i dont have the time to pour in these games now. Was curious so I looked up at your Steam profile where you have 454 games, does your waifu has 454 pairs of shoes too? Or maybe 227 pairs of shoes since one shoe per game is a lot. |

QUOTE(talexeh @ Sep 29 2014, 05:56 PM) No no no. You don't get it. It is not like I am spending RM500 per month on games. I only allocate about RM100 to RM150 per month for games. The department budget is so small now where sometimes it just roll over from previous months in YNAB as I just dont buy as much games as I had last year. If I follow your wife's method, then, my budget is zero for the next few months as I have like quite a bit after not buying much since summer sales. I am kinda saving up for the summer sales. If she sees that you have money to buy games, that means she's not squeezing you hard enough. It's like department budget, if you're not spending it, then less budget will be allocated to you the next quarter. This is the same with a woman's mindset hahaha. Fear mongering aside, my wife is not exactly that materialistic... though she did push me to get better insurance policy all the time. Sometimes, I really fear if she's gonna poison me one day. Still, the costing does not take account of hardware though so... Looks like I do really need to choose between waifu or gaben. |

QUOTE(ik3da @ Sep 29 2014, 06:11 PM) You do not know how much Selangor folks will love you for your job and role.Ā On number of games =/= number of shoes, what has not been said, should not be said, cause what has been said is enough said. Plus each pair of her shoes often cost more than SGD100+, not fair to compare to my bundles lol. I actually had worked on projects in a few states, except Selangor. They are the only state where they have their own consulting firm so majority of the work is given to that company instead. Thank god it isnt one shoe per game as that would be horrible. Just imagine you buy a $10 Humble Bundle and you need to buy like $800 to $1300 worth of shoes. I have 386 games so thats like $38,600 worth of shoes. Oh god. This post has been edited by Cheesenium: Sep 29 2014, 06:17 PM |

QUOTE(talexeh @ Sep 29 2014, 06:14 PM) Wife said no gaming for him so that's why I only get to touch a bit here & there after he sleeps. It's been months since I started Valiant Hearts & I can't even finish it 'till today. Maybe try something like Rayman Origins or Legends for father and son bonding?Stuff like Call of Duty or worse, Agarest is really not suitable. Started Valiant Hearts months ago, I also didnt finish it. It feels like they artificially lengthen the game for the sake of not making a short game. |

QUOTE(talexeh @ Sep 29 2014, 06:19 PM) My wife is kinda old-fashioned so she can't really see how computer gaming can enhance father-son bonding. Maybe you can show her how can this be done? I think she would be happy to see you and your son playing and laughing together with games like Rayman? Instead of sitting in your "man cave" that your wife claim alone playing Modo or something.Told you, having a waifu presents quite a number of roadblocks. They might appear to be very understanding & you thought you've had them sync'd to your lifestyle & mindset. Alas, I fear I'm the one being tricked after she started to have a firm grip on my life. Damnit, I think I'm overreacting a bit since I totally skipped all the awesome things about my waifu. So it is either you trick them or they trick you. Have to compromise a bit here and there, i guess. QUOTE(Deimos Tel`Arin @ Sep 29 2014, 06:19 PM) aye adelaide is a nice little town. Yeah, thats why I am thinking of moving there.my elder bro has been living there since errr year 2000. i spent 9 months of year 2012 in there. fortunately, my wife does not know the number of games of my steam library. Never, no one shall know how many games one has on Steam. It is also a private information like your bank details. This post has been edited by Cheesenium: Sep 29 2014, 06:25 PM |

Promising to stop gaming, buy 1 pair of shoes for each game, or such will just be a pain for yourself, lol. No, just no. I'll promise to stop Dota or MMO but i'll never stop gaming. Its a part of me by now. At gamer daddies, my wife said no gaming for my boy also, and as awesome as she is, at times I wonder where the heck did I fished this scary wife from. She used to be so gentle/obedient... Maybe because women changes with time? Then, they will claim that men will never change their behavior. |

QUOTE(talexeh @ Sep 29 2014, 06:34 PM) Actually, the current headache is that she's complaining my son is sticking to me instead of her. She felt that her love for our baby is not being reciprocated & at times, she's quite moody about this. So I let her play with the baby much more but still no gaming allowed since she's playing some sing-along song for the baby. I just hide in a corner... all alone. ![]() Dont know what to say, seriously. |

QUOTE(Deimos Tel`Arin @ Sep 29 2014, 07:56 PM) eh i didn't know you play dota 2? I used to play a lot of Dota on flying spaghetti monster back in 2006 until I was doing quite badly for my Pre U. Eventually she talk to me about the addiction which I promised her to give up Dota.actually, what should be a good age for them to start playing computer games? with strict moderation of course. I still kinda kept it going on till now as I still avoid playing Dota till today. I did play a bit of Dota 2 but stopped when I found out that it is consuming my life again despite I'm not longer with her. I guess its for my own good to avoid Dota now. She's really nice, caring and gentle to be honest. Waifu material but no jodoh after Pre U. IMO, after watching some of those Elder Geek videos on games for kids. I think letting kids start at 5 is a good idea as that's the age I started gaming by my dad with Dune 2. At that age, kids can read and understand game's mechanics where you can give games with some complexity. I guess they can play stuff like Rayman, Mario Kart, Minecraft or Kerbal Space Program by then. If not those typical educational kids games will do too. Also, no tablets for them. I'll also impose no MMOs, no Dota, no F2P especially cow clickers on mobile. Probably have a strict gaming like my parents had with me. |

You need to have monitor, keyboard and mouse. |
