HUGE RANT :-
You guys are funny. Looking for MAGIC supplements to gain weight, to lose fat, to build muscle. Zzz.... Supplements are USELESS if your diet is not even in proper order in the first place. OMG!! Most of you should get a damn clue for goodness' sake!
Whatever your goals are, muscle building, fat loss, LBM gain, etc --------> 70% DIET. It is the main component of all other factors. Stop fukkin obsessing with supplementation when most of you guys eat crap.
And don't gimme excuses that it's hard to find healthy food around. How many of you can resist the temptation of nasi lemak, roti canai and nasi goreng, etc? It takes willpower and dedication, NOT A MAGIC SUPPLEMENT. How many of you guys can spare a lil' extra cash sacrificing some of your favourite hobbies like cybergaming, comic collection or whatever indulgence for some extra nutrients in your meals?
As long asd you guys keep eating shit, you'll look like shit. If you guys eat good food, you'll look good, period. You are what you eat.
We have some guys taking whey protein, creatine, BCAA's, GAKIC, LEUKIC, energy boosters, glutamine but still look like shit. Why? LMAO, cos instead of using that hard earned cash to have a solid diet which is much cheaper, it all goes to waste buying supplements which won't do anything cos some of you eat char kuay teow post workout and expect to grow HYOOGE.
Bleh! C'mon.... get some common sense and start eating right today.

End of rant.

for me, just milk and fish oil gelcaps. No need anything solid because you need time to digest solids.

That's why milk is good if taken as supper about 1-2 hours before you go to bed. Many people find it hard to sleep on a very full stomach, thus milk is a good option. Not too heavy a meal, and not solid food either so it is easier to be digested. Unless of course, you are thinking about bulking up with fat rather than muscles... laugh.gif

Apart from my 5-7 meals a day, depending if it's a workout day or not, i still take milk and fish oil (+ whey is optional) before i sleep for slow absorption and timed release. My total protein intake is 250-300 grams of protein daily. Carbs and fast added as needed.

Yes, you will gain weight if you eat nasi lemak. But of course, it is not the healthy way.

My diet is suited to my needs because i'm almost 100 kg. You would do better with a diet which has less calories. Check out the sticky above.

i sooooo agree.
food and exercise is what gets you to yer goal, supplements only help you get there faster and how hard can it be to figure out what healthy eating is?

obviously not nasi lemak if you want to gain weight and obviously you dont go for foods with alot of fat...

read the pinned thread about diet and workouts, its the one at the top of the page saying "Shall we have a diet/workout post?, To Help Each Other.", i linked it for you.

i dont think one should just "take some" of someone elses diet, especially not from a bodybuilder or pro-athlete's diet, their diets are specially customised for their personal needs and for their own purposes. depending on what you're eating for you might not like the results of eating what they eat.

Ok. My diet is pretty versatile. But i'll tell you i eat every 3-4 hours. And if i'm awake for some reason like exams, or night shifts in the hospital or OT, i eat every 4 hours i'm awake to preserve muscle mass.
What is important is not just the amount of food you eat. It's also when you eat it. Nutrient timing is extremely important. Let's say you need 3000 calories a day, but some people skip breakfast, then think they can cram in 3000 calories in 2 big ass meals which is just wrong. You get what i'm saying? Your body can only absorb so much nutrients at one time, eating more than that just changes the rest to fat.
Hope that helps.

On a note, don't be afraid to exceed even 60 grams of protein post workout. If you have just veggies and lots of rice, it won't help at all, period. You need a lot of protein, red, meat, milk, etc.
