ermm... you can do what ever you like in the gym, no people will stop you from using any equipment and limit you for how long to stay at the gym. But recommended period of time in gym is 45minutes which is for those who lift heavy weight training.

Bicycle are usually for people to warm up, but some people spend 2 hours doing it, i find it is really useless cycling for 2 hours (working on legs only). Can cycle for 20 minutes, then do other workouts, then if you wish to cycle again. If I want to burn fats, the first part of my body is definitely the abdomen. Spare tire... |

eat less, more exercise, and develop the muscles in the area that you want to lose.
diet is hard to control especially if you're living with family, but it still can be done. And about gym, if you're just using it for cardio, why not jog round the house for 30min? same effect as using the gym. So its better to jog round the block than to waste money on a gym in that case. The main reason for gyms is that you get to use their free weights, in my opinion. and for the cardio, keeping the activity up for more than 20mins will allow you to burn fat. But jogging does the same thing too. This post has been edited by Joey-kun: Sep 4 2006, 12:00 AM |

QUOTE(bonzaimy @ Sep 5 2006, 08:33 PM) ... somethings you really should just GOOGLE...example, typing in cardio into google results in http://www.google.com.my/search?hl=en&q=cardio&meta= and the first link from that search result is http://exercise.about.com/cs/cardioworkouts/a/cardio101.htm basic simple things like cardio or the difference between cardio, aerobic and aerobics can be easily resolved with google or wikipedia. |

45mins - 1 hour is usually optimal for result (if not mistaken, it is due to hormone released). but i usually workout more than one hour.
