So you are using the same template as well? I thought the treatment for dividend in shares and unit trust are different.....also, i dont think the template handles stock split, bonus shares, rights issues etc....am i right?

For UT, dividend = ZERO cash flow

But for shares, dividend is a cash flow.

The principles are the same.

For AMOUNT column, think CASH.
For UNITS column, it handles your bonus and splits

You can try this one... automatic update price by yahoo or google finance. Handle split, bonus issue etc.. and the spreadsheet is save on google cloud.

The color green and red show in the transaction which successfully matched are read as buy and sell respectively, but what is purple mean?

Hey guys, I'm new to investment. Apparently I have 2 loss in 6, and 1 of the loss bothering me.

I use the stop loss trail and I max out the losses, 100%. Just now, I bought 1 stock and and it goes red but not 100% and yet, it auto out/stop me from it.

The funny/mad part is, after it goes down rapidly, it goes back up but I gain nothing except losses.

mind telling me why this happen?

When the price drop, the operator will collect back the stocks. When they themselve buy, they push up the price. When people see there is movement, people are attracted to buy the stocks. That is why the price move. Just my 2 cents

Hi sifus, I am not sure whether this is the correct place to pose this question. If I do DCA for stock investment, is there a minimum amount that I should invest that would make it 'worth' the rates and charges?

I am using Kenanga and they charge 0.15% or min RM12.00 for cash account.

Thank you in advance.

RM 12/0.15% =RM 8,000 min per trade in order to minimize your brokerage.

Wow, that's a lot of money to do DCA on a regular basis. Thank you Gark for the reply. I appreciate it.

1 broker house - 1 CDS account which won't be cross linked.

So you need to open a new one whenever you open a new trading account with a new broker house.
