QUOTE(Ardt @ Dec 7 2014, 11:12 AM) Soon, very soon. 10 days and counting. And I believe you can already PRE-ORDER if you know the correct channels. What do I mean correct channels? In the past BlackBerry partners exclusively with only 1 telco. In Malaysia it used to be Celcom. Today the pattern with BlackBerry (at least in Europe and in North America) is that they sell it direct via shopblackberry.com and Amazon So i'm not sure how, but this will be VERY FUN. Brightstar has upgraded status from "sell if somebody wants" to "full push and support". Good times are coming for BlackBerry! Haters can jump off 14th floor now. |

BlackBerry with TrackPad is finally back in action! I've passed on my Q10 to my staff and it's time for a Q20 upgrade.. Let's see how Classic performs with my current 6 Plus...

As most folks should know by now, in addition to the traditional navigation keys, the BlackBerry Classic also sees the return of time-saving default shortcuts that were missing from previous BlackBerry 10 smartphones. Sure, BlackBerry 10 launched with around 200 shortcuts included, but some of those that many felt 'made a BlackBerry a BlackBerry' were missing. The BlackBerry Classic fixes that in a few ways.
Rather than just adding the old shortcuts back into the operating system they've actually improved upon them. One is through the default shortcuts, and the other is through the BlackBerry 10.3.1 software which allows you to customize the shortcuts to suit your personal needs. You can set letter specific speed dials, shortcuts to launch apps, and even customize which letters launch the compose action, which is not linked into any one type of message. This means you can set the shortcut to compose an email, a BBM message, or even a tweet. Have a look at some of the default actions built into the OS: Launch the Browser – B Compose a Message – Within the BlackBerry Hub – C Launch the Weather App – W Launch the Calculator – U Launch BBM – N Lock BlackBerry Classic – K Toggle Notification Modes – Q Launch Settings – O Open Contacts/Address Book – A Launch Help – H Create a new Note - D Launch Phone - P Launch Clock - R Use these shortcuts in the Hub and email to be even more productive: R - Reply to Message L - Reply to All F - Forward Message T - Go to top of inbox (or message) B - Go to bottom of inbox (or message) N - Move to the next date P - Move to the previous date U - Move to the next unopened item S - Search inbox |

I can understand, people love shortcut keys but I cannot understand what is so interesting with trackpad when we already can control using touch screen.
Sorry, I've never been using BB with physical keyboard before. |

I understand your concern. Blackberry device is all about productivity. Having a trackpad or "touch-sensitive" keyboard (For BB passport) will allow the user hands always on the keyboard and not the screen. With practice, user can focus on constructing email and messages without the hassle of touching and holding the screen for edditing purposes. Sorry, I've never been using BB with physical keyboard before. |
