16 games benchmark using Titan X Pascal.
After reading few reviews/articles, TechSpot's conclusion pretty much sum up good.
For 1080P, Kabylake is your only choice.
For 1440P/4K, Ryzen are worthy choice.
That summary is incomplete.

It also depends on your graphics card.

Like I said before, if you are running GTX 1060 / RX 480 then even 1080P it's not going to make a difference.

It's only high-end GPU setup that makes the gap wide.

The review processor, are you able to keep it ? Would be really interesting to know how far can mobo BIOS update helps gaming benchmark, also if game updates that boost Ryzen performance.
Yes,it's a keeper unit.

My MSI board at 3rd BIOS but no details on what it fix, usually RAM compatibility.

Any update about B350 stock and price? Or there is no Ryzen mobo available in Bolehland?
You donno where to search is it? biggrin.gif

Many shops have stock already. People already bring Ryzen rigs home.

Will you do more Ryzen review with lower end processors/boards when they come out?
This one for sure. As of now, 3 boards with me and I refuse to review them yet.

Want to push FPS then it's Intel processor.

Ryzen works differently, while it doesn't give you max FPS, the additional cores would be helpful if you are doing live streaming of your games session.

No on board graphics system. You need to install a graphics card to use.

It does exist. It's APU crossfire with Radeon. AMD Dual Graphics.
It was so bad that even AMD admitted and not going that path already. smile.gif Did you watch my video when they talked about it?

From Digital Foundry review of Ryzen, they mentioned that faster RAM will benefit any system. smile.gif
Question is how much the benefit.

I used at 2133 vs 3000. Nope, little to no difference.

Hello guys. Im going to get R7 1700 + MSi B350 Tomahawk. Now only left which ram to choose. Does 3200mhz ram really matters? Im going to use this rig for gaming and heavy multitasking (VMwares)
Im open to any suggestions. Thanks
Depends on your software but generally no.

In case you guys missed this, how I simulated the Ryzen 5 1600X's performance with the Ryzen 7 1800X.

They simulated Ryzen 5 hexa core and found out performance quite close to Ryzen 7 octacore, maybe games cant utilize that much core yet.
If you look at the benchmark that I posted in the previous page (my own video la) - the Ryzen 5 1600X will certainly be the best seller

Many games can't utilize that many cores yet so that model will fit the bill well, and should work great for streamers too.

Apparently it affect rendering performance as well, i guess faster/overclocked RAM improved CCXs communication speed. RAM manufacturers will love this.
Nope, not always the case. I've done tests on my own, will be publishing it soon.

Case by case really, do not assume RAM speed affects all forms of rendering.

I said/wrote that Intel will win when comes to game. You deny it then go ahead explain why Ryzen 5 wont win  sweat.gif
There's a difference between gaming and pushing of high-end GPU.

What Intel wins is pushing high-end GPU on such gaming rig, other than that the Ryzen works fine for gaming.

goldfries While you doing further/follow up test on Ryzen 7. Can you verify if performance are improved now with several Windows 10 update ? Saw video from DigitalFountry that have gaming performance gap to Kabylake narrow down.
This is something I couldn't be bothered with. The gap will always be there, the Ryzen 7 is hardware limited. Windows can help a bit here and there but don't expect a miracle.

Looks like the R5 1600 is the best CPU on price/perf on the market now. Pair it with a B350 to 4GHz and its magic biggrin.gif
Yes, it's nice. I have the 1600X and 1500X now too, they're lovely processors.

Upcoming, not yesterday because I don't want to rush the content.

Just got the processors about a week ago.
