yes...better spread comes with inconveniences. plus the interface doesnt even tell you, you average rate you bought and etc. very basic interface. You know you cant expect too much from UOB for this matter.

Seem CIMB can be explored.

Silver? ermm...physical?
*
I used CIMB several years, happy enough.

Silver... Becos of taxes, best to do bigger physical billions, not coins for better spread. If gold rises, silver always follow, with bigger increase.

Yes because kijang as reference it is set by BNM

For conventional and miga the calculation would be differential because of Shariah advisory fees purpose which is around rm3 per gm or 0.5% extra

conventional gold in mbb come with cheaper spread/processing compare to miga?

If you mean physical gold yes provided that you are getting preferred price by certain branch managers

Conventional gold if you wanna buy better off buying direct those reputable dealers 🤦‍♀️ because the banks will add another spread just % is not as high as gold retailers spread

after consolidating for a month or so, gold has turned bullish at $4140.

XAU/USD first resistance would be $4,100, followed by $4,150 and by the last cycle high of $4,245, November’s 13 peak.
https://www.fxstreet.com/news/gold-surges-t...ts-202511241806

various reports say central banks continue to buy gold. And silver too now.
some sovereign and institutional funds buying too.
but retail... only india and china buying, others are selling to cash out on the good prices.

China’s 2025 gold purchases likely 10X higher than the official 25 tons, real total reserve tops 5,000 tons - SocGen

silver is back above $51.

gold
$4145/oz; RM550.53/g

silver
$51.44/oz, RM6.83/g

RM4.13/$; DXY 100.14

for silver stackers... this is from an indian youtuber:
https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=F9CO9N0cKYs

india, china, russia are busy buying & hoarding physical silver while new york & london are frantically suppressing silver price with massive paper shorts. watch nov 26, dec 27, mar 26.

gudluck! biggrin.gif

good morning.

Silver rose 3.6% overnight; from the incr, some futures contract buyers must have stood for delivery.
dec 27 wudn't see the same thing as the data shows most of the dec contracts have been rolled over to mar 2026.
26 march 2026 is now the date to watch!
https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=ezXAXqNgDVI

the silver squeeze is on. London & Shanghai are said to be running very low on physical silver.
question is will the paper silver trade finally break in mar 2026.
physical silver has been in deficit supply for last 6 years; silver is consumed in solar panels, EV batteries, robotics, semiconductors, military.
russia & india are reported to be buying & stocking silver while china has stopped exporting the metal.

metal - monthly% - YTD%
gold 4.67% 58.79%
silver 13.98% 84.80%
platinum 0.63% 77.66%

gold $4163/oz; RM554.0/g
silver $53.30/oz; RM7.09/g
RM4.136/$, DXY 99.56

happy stacking!

cup & handle or double top? biggrin.gif
some gurus say silver's cup and handle has been 50 years long.
so this current breakout is going to be explosive.

yesterday, if u had observed or read about it...
morning here, silver shot up from 51.50 to 54.20, then got hammered down to 53.50 instantly.
suddenly, trading was halted, reason given was some comex data center had a cooling problem.
all futures trading halted. spot gold & silver trading continued.
futures trading resumed only in the evening when USA trading opened.
one can understand why many suspected some cartel had to disrupt silver from going too high too fast.
speculation was the break was meant to give time to cool down, discuss & prepare (major shorts?)
spot silver went on to reach new record high at 56.50, closed at 56.37; futures closed at 57.08.
current narrative is silver spot & futures will keep rising, major short covering to be seen.

gold and silver are abang & adik. the gold silver ratio or GSR has now gone down to 75: 1 from a high of 105:1.
at that ratio, gold now looks very attractive although some expect the GSR to eventually reduce to 50:1.
all in all, both gold & silver are expected to rise further in the current environment.
therefore, if gold gets to $5000, silver may get to $100.
gudluck to all! biggrin.gif

Gold is not an investment... It is a hedge against inflation/turmoil...
but a hedge can also be considered an investment from certain POV... why else people kept on saying diversify...

at least it is better than the other gold... the so called digital gold... hahaha...
then again, that may not be true at all...

headache right? hmm.gif

"gold is a barbaric relic, only barbarians want it".
quite true... gold been with humans for last 5,000 years.
many civilizations came and went, the relic survived.

i am convinced while the barbaric relic will reclaim its kingly monetary status, the devil's metal will be the big news maker! tongue.gif

dubai is suspected to be the "ghost silver buyer", sucking up a lot of silver lately.
this move is interesting... possibly an aspect of a new emerging parallel/alternative world monetary system.
complimenting the news china is building gold vaults in dubai and riyadh.
