AFAIK gold and silver bars do not attract duty.
But silver coins do.
That is my experience.
So nowadays my son brings back my silver coins for me from Perth.
And I am flying there tmoro.

I will be collecting some subscription coins a the mint.

last night, US data on jobs and unemployment rate showed a weak economy.

expectations for more rate cuts to come, QE to accelerate.

all that is good for gold, even better for silver!
