When physical is in short supply, the spread/premiums against spot goes up higher. Nice!

reports say both USA & china are now accumulating precious metals.

USA classified silver as critical mineral now; shanghai said to be low on silver stocks.

for gold, we have these now:

1kg gold
spot RM550.8/g
SB 554.66
MB 556.02
MSB 556.30

Gold trivia  laugh.gif  laugh.gif  laugh.gif

In 1999 and 2002, then-Chancellor of the Exchequer Gordon Brown ordered the Bank of England to sell about half of the UK's gold reserves, raising £3.5 billion at an average price of $275 per ounce. The decision was made to diversify the UK's reserves, and it has since been widely criticized as a major financial blunder because the price of gold has since risen dramatically, costing the UK billions in lost potential value.

The decision: In 1999, Gordon Brown announced the sale of over half of the UK's gold reserves, a move that surprised the market.

The sale: The Bank of England, acting on behalf of the Treasury, sold 395 tonnes of gold between 1999 and 2002.

The price: The gold was sold at an average price of $275 per ounce, which was at a historical low at the time.

The cost: At today's prices, the gold reserves sold would be worth significantly more, and the decision is considered one of the worst investment decisions in British economic history.

The motivation: The sale was intended to diversify the UK's reserves away from gold and into foreign currencies like the U.S. Dollar and the Euro, which were expected to generate better returns.

The consequence: While the sale raised £3.5 billion, the UK has missed out on trillions of pounds in value due to the subsequent surge in the price of gold.

Gold price has inceased by 15x from 275 to 4100+, how could UK has missed out trillions of pounds cos 3.5x15=52. 5.

at SB these became zero for some weeks already.

even 50g, 100g also no stock, need to preorder.

but as prices rise, supplies get tight, holding costs, logistics costs, insurance cost all rise too.

will be harder & harder to get prices close to spot.

at SB? I probably never seen them in stock last 1 yr. Maybe ada private buyer booked them outside system.

The only place i know with inventory all the time is Public Gold, thats partly why their price is one of the highest. Never run out of stock, so far.

there's surely some FOMO since yesterday.

what i read, some hedge funds after dumping paper gold big on oct 21 to trigger CTA algorithmic selling, have resumed buying.

physical gold buying is strong, central banks continue to buy.

silver... LBMA is still showing slight backwardation, may get into another squeeze at Dec delivery date.

i look forward to a silver explosion! tongue.gif

enjoy your precious metals biggest bull run in 5 decades!

SB is legit, you may pay online and pickup at their office if not comfortable via courier. Ive done both for the last 1.5yrs dealing with them.

several of us here buy from them, OK!

i hear Silver Bullion is moving from Kelana jaya to Phileo Damansara soon.

the jewelry shops... very normal they price with "workmanship" even if is just imported.

generally, their price for 999.9 gold is spot+ 8-12% vs bullion traders spot+ 3-3.5%.
