I previously went to MBT only for selling off used jewellery, their rates are better than the retail gold shops. For bars and coins, I get it from bullionstar nowadays.

My only advice in 2002/3 to me friends was: Gold will outperform your FD in the long term. That's all.
So it has proved to be as gold returned 11.5% CAGR over the last 21 years in MYR terms. Much better than FD.

in rm terms, gold & silver price shud continue to ride high since bank negara has v little gold as reserves, only declining $.

generally, their price for 999.9 gold is spot+ 8-12% vs bullion traders spot+ 3-3.5%.
