No subtitle on chl 430..724?

Chl 430 dah ada BM subtitle..fox Hd blom lg kot..or family guy tu same telecast from us

Even though both channels are in HD, Astro AEC's and AEC Shuang Xing's logos on top-right corner don't feature the word "HD".

And I hope all other in house hd channels follow suit

1. the rename of Astro Zhi Zun HD to Astro Wah Lai Toi HD
2. the launch of Astro AEC HD and simulcast of both channels
3. the rebranding of Astro Quan Jia HD to focus on foreign contents

I hope Astro will do the same thing to Malay channels too (eg: Astro Ria HD).

Astro Maya HD = Astro Ria no ? While Mustika mostly show program from Astro Warna.

After the launch of HD channels, Astro AEC (SD) and Astro Shuang Xing (SD) have officially become the letterboxed and downgraded version of their HD channels.

It is recommended to use the aspect ratio button on the remote and set it to lb expand if you dont subscribe to hd channels.

I subscribe Astro HD package, so that doesn't matter too much to me. I pity those who still have to watch downgraded version of AEC.

I know why, it is because they want to keep the cost as low as possible, by using the same output feed to push to both HD and non-HD channels (means same piece of video playout server), if you tune to Ch301 and Ch324 you will notice the letterbox has been put in place. Same trick has been in place for SuperSport for quite some time

seriously, I don't think these 2 "new" HD channels line up is anything worth to be applauded of, this is something we should already have long time ago.

if they tried to do that on the upcoming HKTV series which contains a lot more controversial contents than TVB .. I would rather download from torrent and downpack astro

Perhaps we're conforming to Brunei's censorship standard because AOD is broadcasted there too. Somebody asked this on Astro's Facebook few days ago if I'm not mistaken.
