1. nope.. need to press yellow button each time change channel
2. it will stay in satellite feed, but for iptv, the box will check multicast status, if it is up, then they will get the feed from the internet
3. it will try to get feed from the internet, but if the internet down, it will either pop up the error text, or just take satellite feed if you haven't changed the channel.
4. that channel doesn't appear also on satellite feed
5. for me, internet so much better picture quality, and of course it depends on the connection itself. sometimes the picture can be heavily pixilated, but that is very very very rare for me.
*
Thanks for the reply.

1) I'm sorry to ask this, do you mind to record a video and upload to YouTube, shows us that you turn off the modem, press Yellow button to change to satellite mode, and if you change any other channel, it shows "Network connection not available" message again and need to press Yellow button again even your modem is still turn off. Please record the video in horizontal/landscape position instead of vertical. Thanks a lot, and I really appreciate that smile.gif

2) Is there any hidden settings for it to permanently change to Satellite mode?

Mind if you do me a favor? I want to see how actually Astro IPTV works.

3) Power on your Astro IPTV decoder and watch the channels (IPTV mode) as usual, then disconnect the 2 satellite cables at the back of the decoder. Will it show any error message?

4) What you did on the video you provided is, you turn off the modem and then it shows "Network connection not available", at the end of the error message, it shows "(H-NCNA)"? I know NCNA stands for Network connection not available, but what is that "H" stands for?
Attached Image

After that, turn off all related modems to watch Astro IPTV temporarily, making it unable to receive any channels on neither on IPTV nor satellite mode. See if the error message changes or not, or will it still tells you to press Yellow button to attempt recover service. Do provide a photo/video of the error message shown on your TV.

Thanks a lot.

Yes.

If you don't want Sports pack, you can only choose either 2 Mini packs, or No Mini packs.

If you want Nilai Pack (or any Value Packs), each subsequent Mini packages will be charged RM12 excl GST.

I can't answer this question man, cuz this depends on your condo.
Every condos is different, some they allow you to literally install the dish outside or using centralized dish.

Hi guys, I'm moving to a new condo. I'm subsribed to PVR and Multiroom, but the condo has centralized dish and only has one port in the living room. Is it possible to continue with PVR & Multiroom services?

I called Astro support they only told me to ask the installer when it's time to move. Any help is very much appreciated.
*
This one I'm not sure. You have to refer to the installer in this case.
It will be better if your condo allows you to install the satellite dish outside your condo unit, such as at the balcony.

If Sports pack is too expensive for you, u can consider subscrbe to Sports Lite pack by adding RM12/month. This pack consists only 2 channels, which is Astro SuperSport (810/831) and SuperSport 2 (811/833). HD version is available if you subscribe to HD service.

But then, it is still cheaper than the normal Sports pack.

Hi all, I would like to rent your working Astro IPTV decoder with working live account.

Only  Astro IPTV box not the satellite type.

I just need one only. As soon as possible. Prefer Bangsar area and around it.

Rate = RM40/day

Serious, please contact me 017 466 3027 - Zul
*
I don't think you can do that. I'm sure the Astro IPTV decoder is locked with the MAC address assigned to your home network, same goes to Hypp TV.

But then, if it works, do tell us about it.. smile.gif

using PVR recording service need pay monthly fees?

current existing package is RM155 + GST

wonder if I get the SatCR and get the PVR and use recording, the fees will be RM155 + PVR monthly service + GST??
*
Did you subscribe to Super Pack 3? If yes, every Super Pack already included RM10 recording fee in it. So you don't need to add RM10 PVR recording fee anymore.

Hi, Anyone using Astro IPTV ?

I would like to know if the Astro IPTV machine support both wifi/lan & satellite type of connection? For example of the internet is down, still able to watch Astro via the satellite dish connection ?

Thks.
*
Yes, this is called hybrid installation. Your decoder will be connected to both satellite cable to the satellite dish and also LAN cable to your router. If your Internet is down, or you disconnect the LAN cable from your decoder, you can still watch Astro channels by changing it to satellite operating mode. Of course you can change it back to IPTV mode later.

I live in condo. I upgraded my package to value pack 4 with HD services. I found that only AEC HD, FOX HD, ASSP HD PLUS, NAT GEO PEOPLE and XI YUE HD is available. The rest of HD channels in sports and learning are in SCNA. I called the customer service provider and they guided me to do the setting in Satellite Setting but the problem is not solved. I asked the condo management about the shared dish and they advised me to install my own dish instead. Is it true, guys? I don't think it will works...any idea pals?
*
That is because you're living in high rise residential that doesn't support receiving HD channels from Measat 3A satellite from the centralize dish. In this case, you will be only able to receive HD channels from Measat 3b satellite, which are:

Astro AEC HD 306, Astro Shuang Xing HD 307, Fox Action Movies, FYI, Fox Family Movies HD, Fox HD, WWE Network 840, HGTV, Nat Geo People HD, Astro Cricket, Life Inspired, Go Shop CH118 and CH318, Astro SuperSport CH808 (Esports), Go Asean as well as the newly launch TVB Jade ch326.

The solution is either your condo/apartment management need to upgrade some equipment for splitting the satellite signals from the centralize dish on rooftop of the building, but some condo management don't want to do that because it is quite costly. So they rather advise you to install the satellite dish at the balcony of your unit, which it could mean that they don't mind that the outlook of the high rise building doesn't look nice with all the Astro satellite dishes at the balconies. Or, you subscribe to Astro IPTV.

Want to ask why I suddenly can watch indo pek and vinmeen HD?
I thought super pack 3 doesn't include indo pek and vinmeen HD.
*
Indo Pek was having a channel preview to all Astro customers until 30 April 2016.
Astro Vinmeen HD, it is said that you need to subscribe Maharaja pack to watch the channel. But since the channel launch till now, every customers that subscribe to HD service are still able to watch the channel even without Maharaja pack. Which is pretty weird.

Isnt that normal to all channel? For censorship thinggy

It is believed that delaying 3-5 mins or even 1 hour is part of our country's TV censorship board policy. This give sufficient time for Astro to slot in ads as well as censoring any inappropriate scenes, remove ads that is irrelevant to Malaysia then replace with ads made by Astro or products ads.

Not only Astro does that. Even Hypp TV also the same.

Most of Astro's SD channels are delayed by 3 mins. News channels delay by 2 mins. HD channels delay by 5 mins except Nat Geo People and HGTV which it is delayed by 10 mins. Some of the channels has been delayed for 1 hour from the original channel feed, examples are Cinemax, Fox Movies Premium, Fox Action Movies, E!, MTV, etc.

Do you guys realize that any new channel launches by Astro nowadays are charged minimum RM5.30 (incl. GST) per channel per month, or even up to RM53 for one channel/package if you did not subscribe to any particular package to get the cheaper package price available? Basically the price are not under the "affordable" range, instead it is like the customers are paying more for a "premium stuff" especially the ridiculous RM53/month for one channel/package, which Astro never offer such thing several years ago. I suspect Astro is mainly using this method to gain advantage and earn more profit from customers that subscribe new channels lineup at their discretion. Do you think it is somehow true to say that Astro do this so that other existing Astro customers will not experience any price hikes EVERY YEAR just like few years ago, so that Astro can somehow able to "cover up the content cost"?

Example: Korean Pack, Star Chinese Channel, Golf Channel, Astro Cricket, Setanta Sports, WWE Network, and the new TVB Jade pack.

In general, Astro will always find ways to make customers pay more, and more, and more for TV content. To be honest in my opinion, Astro don't actually showing loyalty and appreciation to almost any existing customers (including the ones that subscribed Super Pack/Super Pack Plus). If you really go and evaluate all Astro packages and do some math calculation, you will know what I am trying to say. Like this TVB Jade Pack, Astro still expects customers to pay extra RM15.90/month despite they already paying more than RM164.30/month (RM137.80/month for Astro IPTV) for Super Pack 3 or Super Pack Plus 3/4. Do you personally think that RM164.30/month or RM137.80/month for Astro IPTV is a small amount? Yet Astro still expects customers to pay more for additional content? Also, if you do not subscribe to Dynasty or Super Pack 3 or Super Pack Plus 3 or 4, subscribing to TVB Jade Pack is RM53/month! You call this fair pricing?

Many customers were asking why is Astro doing this, yet Astro explains to them how much they care about you, and such premium offer are only available to customers at their discretion. This is obviously wanting customers to pay even more despite they are already paying more. This is obviously prove that Astro prioritize over your money than your loyalty or appreciation towards their service. But what to do? Astro is playing well in monopolize Malaysian pay TV market.

First, it is easier to know what is the issue if you do the steps below:

Press "home" button on your Astro remote, select Settings, then "STB Diagnostics"
Go to Tuner section by pressing right arrows on your Astro remote, then press Green Button on your Astro remote to begin Scan Transponder.
Then take a picture of the scan results and make sure the picture are able to see these readings clearly, then reply it here:

01 M3 (VL) / Unlocked@Locked / Strength : % / Quality : %
06 M3 (VL) / Unlocked@Locked / Strength : % / Quality : %
13 M3A (VH) / Unlocked@Locked / Strength : % / Quality : %
16 M3A (VH) / Unlocked@Locked / Strength : % / Quality : %

Once done, press "back" button to exit.

https://www.facebook.com/SmileNCool/videos/...hc_location=ufi

*
16hb Mei 2016, bukan Jun. Selepas 2 hari, tiada lagi dah saluran Astro Hitz.

Jangan percaya pada informasi begini... Orang tu cuma terlalu banyak masa lapang untuk membuat pelbagai informasi palsu dan rekaan. Jika anda tidak menerima sebarang maklumat rasmi dari Astro ataupun sebarang bukti yang kukuh mengenai saluran baru ataupun saluran HD, abaikan sahaja.

What do you mean Signal strength 135? Go perform Transponder Scan... And then send the picture of the readings. Make sure can see the full list of it.
