I thought the opening scene was amazing. It helped that the volume was extra loud and you can feel every crash, gun shot and punches.
I thought it got a bit too repetitive with the shooting and all towards the end but its probably because I was tired and needed to pee so I couldn't focus.
It was obvious certain parts where the woman took off her clothes were cut and we missed a few dialogues.

it's rare to see movies that have such wide audio dynamic range anymore
which make things more realistic as crash and bangs are alot louder than we perceive laugh.gif

Yeah it reminds me of Constantine when they mentioned a neutral place where both or all parties lay aside their hostilities when they come.

keanu reeves as john wick is plain clumsy, slow, delayed, old

Keanu reeves is OK, although he's a bit bookish here, without the glasses. If you are thinking old, delayed, and slow, try Red 1 and 2.

Damn sudah macam cerita John Woo.

All tembak tembak sana sini.

The way John Wick shooting his enemies almost like fast moving, but without fancy pose and dancing, unlike John Preston in Equilibrium.

There's a different between gun-fu and gun-kata.

Couldnt help noticing the gold coins, the no-business-here hotel, and Cleaners, who mop up all the mess after all the actions.

you wouldnt see this in normal movies man. The writers got many, if not all, angles covered.

In film one, one of my favourite moment was when the police patrol came to inquire about the gunshots and noises.
"You working again, John?" Priceless. biggrin.gif

Actually the assassin world felt like those Wuxia movies of yesteryear. Operate with code and honor. Laurence Fishburne's gang just like the beggar clan. The 3rd movie most likely end up high table power struggle with Winston's marker as a wild card. I don't think we see the last of Rome continental manager or even Peter Stormare for that matter.

John Wick: Chapter 2 (2017)

It would not be a surprise to people who constantly read this thread that I am a fan of the first John Wick movie. It blindsided me.

So, my expectation for the second movie is high.

So, did someone kill his cat this time round?

Not quite.

From a story point of view, this movie took some risk.

It really tried to pay homage to the first and then own the second movie... and it feels like staging for a third, and that was just too transparent throughout this movie, and where I think hurt the movie.

Action fans will not be disappointed

Censors did not butcher this

So, if you are a fan of the first, you will appreciate this.

My Two Sen.

Watched it today. It was fun but it definitely feels like a setup for the third movie. I like all the code and honor thing. Cant wait for the final chapter! Bring it on John Wick! 4/5 from me. thumbup.gif

Hope to catch it this weekend, maybe next only Lego Batman...

Oddly, I can't remember the first film even though I watched it.

I didn't watch it in cinemas though, but strange I can't recollect what I watched. hmm.gif Hmm... John Wick wiped my memory clean laugh.gif
