QUOTE(nexona88 @ Oct 16 2014, 06:32 PM) well different people have different strategy.. but your strategy quite unique la.. buy when have some rebound even when there's risk of drop again later Not unique, learned from somewhere. QUOTE(plumberly @ Oct 16 2014, 06:41 PM) Smart strategy. Reminds me of Coppock's reversal method. Go in after there is a reversal pattern in place. Of course, it can still down down later. Life is tough. Have read books on investment. But have never been able to earn a living from stocks/UT.

QUOTE(plumberly @ Oct 21 2014, 04:44 PM) I heard that updating passbook does not count as an activity as far as the 7 yrs in-active account goes. Need to have account holder doing withdrawal or deposit transactions. Yes, weird ruling. That is what I heard form my wife who used to work in a bank. Cheerio. I think what you said more for bank SA/FD acct. For UT, I have UT acct which is way more than 7 yrs and keeps on rolling (with dividends). Just receive yearly update on the status. Various UT from different banks.

QUOTE(nexona88 @ Oct 21 2014, 05:54 PM) I don't think ASx fund categorised as savings but more towards as investment @ UT or I can say as Hybrid UT (Savings + UT) QUOTE(champu @ Oct 21 2014, 07:34 PM) in that case i dont have to worry about my acct being closed for inactivity ASx is definitely not like a bank's SA. It is similar to UT. So no activity will not cause any problem. My 2 cents.

Received back RHB rebate of 2.5% SC of ASG fund. That was after about 1 mth of purchase. Well not as good as 2% SC but good enough for me. The promo is until end of year.

QUOTE(wil-i-am @ Oct 25 2014, 02:44 PM) Is there any min investment sum to qualify for d rebate? Not sure of it. Probably no as I bought small amt of one of the ASG funds out of the 3 and still get the rebate.

QUOTE(nexona88 @ Oct 25 2014, 03:54 PM) they give back cash or additional units credited into your ASG account This is RHB rebate. So cash rebate into my SA.
