QUOTE(nexona88 @ Jan 17 2015, 01:03 PM) Permodalan Nasional Bhd (PNB) and Amanah Saham Nasional Bhd (ASNB) have agreed to provide the ASB2 platform to Permata Negara children by channeling investment of RM100 or 100 units to each child. “This means that the total contribution by PNB amounted to RM1.6 million which will be utilised by 15,492 Permata children,” said Datin Seri Rosmah Mansor. They include children from Pusat Anak Permata Negara, Permata Kemas, Permata Perpaduan dan Integrasi Nasional, Taska Yayasan Pembangunan Keluarga Terengganu and Taska Tempat Kerja. "others" children how? All 15,492 kids are all bumi??? ASB2 only opened for bumi.

QUOTE(plumberly @ Jan 17 2015, 01:18 PM) If a private company is doing that, I have no complaint. How a private company wants to use its money is up to that company. But PNB and ASNB are not really private companies. To me, this is adding fuel to the racial platform. Sorry for speaking my mind here. Amount may be small at RM1.6 million, but the mentality behind it needs some serious X ray, MRI, US, etc analysis! Cheerio. Well here's my 2 cents. We'll have to look back as to why PNB/ASNB was setup in the first place. Once one understands that than you would understand how the organisation works and why they continue till this very day to hold a certain "agenda". PNB/ASNB has been around for more than 30 years (if I'm not mistaken) and I don't think even half of that time were PNB/ASNB funds were available to non-bumi. Just my 2 cents, just the other side of the coin

Saw this in Wikipedia ...
Amanah Saham 1Malaysia was launched on 31 July 2009 by sixth Malaysian Prime Minister, Dato' Seri Najib Tun Razak with a fund size of 10 Billion. AS1M is open to all Malaysian citizen with a quota of 50% for Bumiputera, 30% Chinese, 15% Indian and 5% others. AS1M has no upper limit on the value of an account, so capital gains which are retained in the account are allowed. Capital gains in AS1M accounts are not subject to taxes until 2019. Dividends are paid each year and put back into the account so that compounding is achieved.
True about the tax from 2019 on wards?
Tax at ASNB level on their capital gain or at our shareholders income level?
Cheerio.

Only ASB is tax free aka don't need tax waiver thingy.. Not sure about ASB2 Others funds need to ask for tax waiver & will extend it when the time come FYI ASW2020 & ASM from 2007 to 2016, AS1M from 2009 to 2018

Hello everyone here.. Yesterday I wen to Maybank to do something and then a staff there inform me something about ASB loan. What I know right now is the settlement is in between 5 to 25 years, ranging 10k to 200k.
Is it good investment using this loan alternative? I want to get as much loan as possible, so what they look to approve this loan? Salary?

Went to PM early this week but there were so many cars there I decided to turn back. Went there again today and still many cars in the car park. Went in and surprised to get a ticket with only 1 in the queue. So look outside can be deceiving. On my catch, happy to report 1k and 14k for the 2 funds. I think there was some more ASW but I ran out of bullet. Cheerio.
