Hello. Please recommend me a headphone. My Sennheiser HD 595's plastic components finally came apart after 12 years. The HD6xx has been recommended a lot but not keen on buying from overseas or second hand.

Budget: 1-1.3k
Rig: PC/Sound Blaster Xfi
Usage: Movie/Gaming/Music
Music: Pop, Metal, Rock
Type: Any that covers the ear completely and comfortable for long hours
Others: Reasonable cable length because my PC is on the floor and something that will last as long as my HD 595.

Thanks!

If not mistaken there are seller that bring in 6XX and sell in Garage Sales
Sometimes Sennheiser also will do offer for HD650 and HD600, can get around your budget.
Recommend to get now since the company sold their headphone business, won't know what changes will happen in future with new owner.

Also worth to try planar headphone, cheapest can get locally will be Hifiman model.

if you can find the sundara with your budget, why not?
otherwise just get the he400 or deva if you ok with the color. just so you know, planar cans are open back so almost no isolation..

Greetings,
Anyone here has sundara and thx panda or tested both? I really like the sound signature of my sundara and wonder if thx panda have similar sound signature since both using planar driver. Thinking to get one for portable use to replace my Sony xm3.

Panda is close back. just this I already know it have different signature than any other open back planar.
Most that bought panda doesn't seem to be impressed with it. Even oratory1990 prefer 4XX than Panda.

Your portable usage need it to be close back? If not you can consider Deva with it's bluetooth adapter.

Thanks, I guess I'll get Deva later. It's way cheaper and easy to get here in Malaysia compare to panda. The only let down is battery lives and the ugly design.

hello guys, need your suggestion:

Budget: rm300-400
Rig: PC
Usage: Music / gaming (FPS)
Music: Instrumental, rock
Type : preferred over ear headphone and open back as need to hear people knock the door deliver item or call me.
was eyeing for philips shp 9500 , but if there other suggestion for headset with similar performance and budget, that will be cool. icon_question.gif

currently using hyper x cloud II so my problem with it is (cant here people in house calling me / ear getting hot for long usage)
microphone is just an option for me, I prefer headphone with better quality with the budget and buy mic later biggrin.gif
