I'm using a build which most top solo wizards are using while pushing high tier Greater Rifts (>GR55).
The build is as follows:
Items
1. Aether Walker - 10% damage, Int, Vit, Socket
2. Tal (Head) - Int, Vit, CC, Socket (Int, CC, Meteor%, Socket can also be used if you do not have problems staying alive)
3. Tal (Glove) - Int, CC, CHD, RCR (Vit over RCR if using a Int, CC, Meteor%, Socket helm)
4. Tal (Belt) - Int, Vit, Life%, Armor>AR
5. Tal (Pants) - Int, Vit, Armor, Sockets
6. Tal (Offhand) - Damage Range, Int, Vit, CC, Arcane Power on Crit, Meteor%
7. Tal (Amulet) - Int, CC, CHD, Socket
8. Cindercoat - Fire%, Int, Vit, Sockets (High Fire RCR is a big plus)
9. Ancient Parthan of Defenders - Fire%, Int, Vit, CC
10. Focus & Restraint (Rings) - Int, CC, CHD, Socket
11. Nilfur's Boast - Int, Vit, AR (perma rolled, Armor obviously better here), Meteor% (Note: Prioritisation should be on the secondary passive which gives 150-200% increase damage when meteor strikes 3 or less enemies. A normal nilfur's with 190% is always better than an ancient 180% for example)
12. Pauldron's of Skeleton King - Int, Vit, Armor, RCR
** RCR = Resource Cost Reduction
Skills
1. Shock Pulse - Piercing Orb
2. Blizzard - Snowbound
3. Force Weapon - Conduit
4. Meteor - Meteor Shower
5. Teleport - Calamity
6. Storm Armor - Power of the Storm
Passives
1. Audacity
2. Unstable Anomaly
3. Astral Presence/Blur
4. Elemental Exposure
Gameplay
The beauty of this build is that you can pick and choose your fights. At higher GR's (>GR51) you would very rarely (in most cases never) engage an elite pack unless you are armed with a pylon. You would need to teleport through the map while grouping and killing off white mobs. Keep mobs stunned with your Teleport Calamity, while alternating your skills and casting meteors. (Always keep an eye out for your Focus/Restraint bonus, and Tal stacks, and make sure they are always up). I would say only fight when you have >10 mobs around you to ensure you are protected by your Parthan bracers. Keeping up your resource (i.e. Arcane Power) will always be an issue which is why Resource Cost Reduction on your items are important to the build. Remember to alternate between your spells and primary attack (i.e. Piercing orb) to keep your Arcane Power and Focus/Restraint bonus up.
Good luck and happy hunting
Hanz, to make good use of Ancient Parthan of Defenders, you need stun skill. The build is as follows:

How do you stun?
What would be the damage range like with 6-piece Tal Rasha + Focus & Restraint?
To do high grift (>50), what is your toughness?
