QUOTE(metalfreak @ Jun 10 2015, 09:47 AM) It's been awhile my Wizzie friends! Delrasha seems like a viable option although I would still say a tal set with meteor boots still seems to output the most amount damage on a consistent basis. Firebirds is pretty much dead now unfortunately I got my items for my Wizzie(That DelRasha build) Wizzie! I think I'm gonna go back to Firebird build with my new boots. Since Fire still rule the world for Wizzie? |

QUOTE(ALeUNe @ Jun 16 2015, 03:27 PM) Been away for too long. I'm using a build which most top solo wizards are using while pushing high tier Greater Rifts (>GR55). Hanz, I still use my old FB gears. Please share your meteor build and gears. The build is as follows: Items 1. Aether Walker - 10% damage, Int, Vit, Socket 2. Tal (Head) - Int, Vit, CC, Socket (Int, CC, Meteor%, Socket can also be used if you do not have problems staying alive) 3. Tal (Glove) - Int, CC, CHD, RCR (Vit over RCR if using a Int, CC, Meteor%, Socket helm) 4. Tal (Belt) - Int, Vit, Life%, Armor>AR 5. Tal (Pants) - Int, Vit, Armor, Sockets 6. Tal (Offhand) - Damage Range, Int, Vit, CC, Arcane Power on Crit, Meteor% 7. Tal (Amulet) - Int, CC, CHD, Socket 8. Cindercoat - Fire%, Int, Vit, Sockets (High Fire RCR is a big plus) 9. Ancient Parthan of Defenders - Fire%, Int, Vit, CC 10. Focus & Restraint (Rings) - Int, CC, CHD, Socket 11. Nilfur's Boast - Int, Vit, AR (perma rolled, Armor obviously better here), Meteor% (Note: Prioritisation should be on the secondary passive which gives 150-200% increase damage when meteor strikes 3 or less enemies. A normal nilfur's with 190% is always better than an ancient 180% for example) 12. Pauldron's of Skeleton King - Int, Vit, Armor, RCR ** RCR = Resource Cost Reduction Skills 1. Shock Pulse - Piercing Orb 2. Blizzard - Snowbound 3. Force Weapon - Conduit 4. Meteor - Meteor Shower 5. Teleport - Calamity 6. Storm Armor - Power of the Storm Passives 1. Audacity 2. Unstable Anomaly 3. Astral Presence/Blur 4. Elemental Exposure Gameplay The beauty of this build is that you can pick and choose your fights. At higher GR's (>GR51) you would very rarely (in most cases never) engage an elite pack unless you are armed with a pylon. You would need to teleport through the map while grouping and killing off white mobs. Keep mobs stunned with your Teleport Calamity, while alternating your skills and casting meteors. (Always keep an eye out for your Focus/Restraint bonus, and Tal stacks, and make sure they are always up). I would say only fight when you have >10 mobs around you to ensure you are protected by your Parthan bracers. Keeping up your resource (i.e. Arcane Power) will always be an issue which is why Resource Cost Reduction on your items are important to the build. Remember to alternate between your spells and primary attack (i.e. Piercing orb) to keep your Arcane Power and Focus/Restraint bonus up. Good luck and happy hunting This post has been edited by forgottenhans: Jun 16 2015, 10:33 PM |

QUOTE(ALeUNe @ Jun 16 2015, 11:07 PM) Thanks for sharing. Nope, IAS and CDR not required for this build. You can only really afford to have RCR on two pieces max (shoulder and glove). I would suggest at least shoulder to have it. Whether you need RCR on your glove pretty much depends on your play style and how well you manage your resources. If you have trouble maintaining your AP, it would be better if you had RCR on gloves, if not, go for vit. So, IAS and CDR are not needed? Aether walker may be rare to come by. Any alternative? What is the ideal RCR? Without an Aether Walker, you are basically in an area where you have to improvise with whatever gear u have. Before i obtained an AW, i have used variations of common builds. For example, I used a modified melee freeze build utilising Halo of Arlyse (I've tried with a two-hander (e.g. Grand Vizier) or a one-hander (e.g. sun keeper/devastator + tal offhand) with good effect. Think I managed GR52 with that. You may find the build here (http://www.diablofans.com/builds/53721-grift-55-solo-melee-tal-rasha-perma-lockdown), although i used meteor shower instead of mammoth hydra coz i didn't have a Serpent Sparker at that time. You could also try out the pure delsere build http://www.diablofans.com/builds/53661-2-2...rb-fire-or-cold Ultimately you may still use firebirds to farm t6 till you get the necessary gear. By no means is firebirds useless, I just meant that for pushing greater rifts, firebirds has been pushed down the pecking order as compared to tals/delsere. T6 farming with firebirds is still pretty efficient. |

QUOTE(ALeUNe @ Jun 17 2015, 07:28 AM) For pushing high tier GRs, gems I use are:Bane of Trapped, Taeguk, Toxin. For T6 I use:: Pain Enhancer, Toxin, Molten Gizzard/Bane of Trapped It's really good to see wizards back in the game in this patch after so long. With solo GRs breaking 60 and viability in group GRs >65, it's an exciting time to be a wizard. Actually was wondering if anyone has tested extensively on Delrasha builds and what is the potential in solo GR? Haven't had much time to experiment in that area. Hehe |

QUOTE(MOBAJOBG @ Jun 18 2015, 09:11 PM) Thanks for sharing Moba. But a few questions:1. How do you trigger your lightning stack for tal? I don't seem to see a lightning spell. 2. How do you execute the game play for this build? Do you tp around casting slow time and let it DoT, or do you focus down groups of mobs then move on? |

QUOTE(MOBAJOBG @ Jun 19 2015, 06:23 AM) Answers are provided after your questions. Ahh alright got it. What gems are you using? You mentioned PE? Are you referring to Pain Enhancer? I can already see a lot of similarities between delrasha and the normal tal set. Seems like the gameplay is same.Mandatory items. 1. Aether Walker. 2. Ancient Parthan Defenders -Lightning. 3. RoRG 4. 5pc Tal Rasha's Elements 5. 3pc Delsere's Magnum Opus 6. Convention of Elements 7. Nilfur's Boast |

Cleared GR52 pretty easily with this build.
http://www.diablofans.com/builds/54387-del...-6pc-tal-rashas Seems like this this guy has even cleared GR55 with Crown of primus and a devastator. A good alternative for those who don't have an ancient Aether Walker yet. Link here: https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=Y3Q0Ild90kY |

QUOTE(ALeUNe @ Jul 9 2015, 11:47 PM) Hanz, to make good use of Ancient Parthan of Defenders, you need stun skill. Sorry I've been away for a bit. As mentioned in my explanation, you keep mobs stunned with your Teleport using the Calamity rune. You will stun them for 1 sec, giving you time to cast one spell before you need to teleport again to keep them chained stunned. So you basically alternate your spells while teleporting between packs of mobs. make sure you have a good amount of mobs stunned around you (>8 to 10) to give you the necessary damage reduction from ancient parthans. How do you stun? What would be the damage range like with 6-piece Tal Rasha + Focus & Restraint? To do high grift (>50), what is your toughness? The damage is good, although I don't really have specific numbers to share as I pay more attention to my surroundings and mobs while playing. My toughness however is around 20million at the moment I believe. |

QUOTE(TenSou @ Jul 16 2015, 03:58 PM) Souji#6736 Serpent Sparker build doesn't really work when trying to break high level GR's in solo mode. Aether Walker is a better choice. Currently playing the DelRasha build with the gear above. I don't feel like it made a difference compared to when I was playing full Tal Rasha with Serpent Sparker + Mammoth Hydra. Am I doing something wrong? |

QUOTE(blackstar88 @ Sep 3 2015, 09:17 AM) this build can only be obtained in season? or in normal mode also?? This would be for non season mode. Archon is more viable in seasons due to the season only belt (Fazula's Improbable Chain) and gem (bane of the stricken). Without the bane of the stricken, archon build will be hard to clear single targets (i.e. Rift Guardians). The playstyle is also very unique and can feel a bit clunky at times. It requires time to build up momentum. i tot this patch is more of archon build? Anyway if you are playing non season, you may want to stick with delrasha, or 6 piece tal rasha. |
