Already told u, sg online set can claim at AASP, not the lucky problem, but is the fact, im not giving the misleading information, if u still cannot believe, why dont u give them a call? Contact local AASP like machines, mac city etc a lot. U know why they accept, coz dont care local or sg set, ur iphone warranty is still will refer and send back to sg, sg is like the control centre / warehouse of SEA, so they understand and honor ur warranty.

I'd like to think that there is none, because US has strict regulations.

Whatever it is, i will stick to local telco set... I just want to feel the excitement of pre-ordering, receiving confirmation, and lastly queing in the late night during the launching ceremony... Its a really good experience...

some sg set may warranty here but on condition and they need check ur imei 1st. Sg set they may ask to show ur passport or sg i/c.. i did help customer claim hong kong 5s here. need show hong kong passport. Just go any center and ask, no harm done. Anyway NOT all may claim here.

we know ur good intention, but i gotta side with the other guy on this
maybe last time can, or u were lucky, but the fact remains that this is a totally grey area
many times we call in, they say can, but when we bring over its a totally different story
and if u scout the forum, there are ppl who bought oversea unit and got rejected when they try to claim the warranty here
fact is that the local aasp in malaysia are really not as good as those that are in oversea
warranty really is up to their mood/discretion etc
anyway, this is all just discussion.. no hard feelings.
if i could buy a sg iphone 6 now (not those hike up price), chances are i will be flashing my cc as well.. who cares bout warranty!

Yup very true, is depending on your luck on that day whether they are willing to accept the warranty. I have asked several AASP and all also tell me that they are not accepting international sets and telco sets for warranty. They only accept sets purchased on Apple Online Malaysia. But some forumers managed to claim their sets through AASP, i believe either they banyak handsome or "show half ball" (mentioned earlier by forumer lol)

Lol i think u really need to show half ball when u try to walk in the AASP, yeah even if u call apple customer @ SG, they will also ask u to bring ur unit to any local AASP to have warranty. If they dint accept, u can complain them kao kao, btw if u iphone got defect means u are lucky, can get a new one, or at least refurbish set. I managed to claim 2 time for i4 and i5

yeah..its really playing with lottery the AASP in malaysia
i did complain them kao kao also last time for my apple product
in the end i got some free credit on their apple store

Rules is rules, ppl always believe rules is dea and ppl is live! There are many ways to bypass this rules and regulation depends how u do it. Example ppl can bring in so many AP sets but does msia custom allowed? Answer is "not", but how they do it? In fact, rules is always dead, depend how u able to find the "lubang" or not.

For the SG set guarantee can claim in msia no joke. U can call APPLE cs or any local AASP to clarify. Fyi, the APPLE CS is based in SG.

Need you all advice on getting telco set or from Apple online store better? Getting from telco for some cases they can do RMA on the spot right?
