No DSL line drop ever since I changed to FastPath, now I'm wondering if going from Interleaved to FastPath means different port or just a setting on the server? Before this, every few days the line would drop.

*
It is a matter of turning on few settings via server configuration for Interleaved, Fastpath, symbol etc
In your case, probably TM changed your port as well.
I heard new dsl card at DSLAM can output higher power (of course within allowable spec) than older generation.

DSL line dropping , it's more on their site.I dont know much how to diagnose. It get dc on router part while normal dsl manual get connection drop where IP can't hold longer.Download stuff get timeout and retry.Happen precise every 8min-10min.
What would be the cause ?
changing fastpath will help ?
*
No idea what is causing your disconnection problem.
To begin with, you didn't post your dsl stats.
It is only advisable to change interleaved to fastpath if SNR for both downstream and upstream are higher than 30db unless if you want the dsl line to drop + retraining non-stop.

Hey guys, I received a phone call claiming that all Streamyx packages will be cancelled in stages starting July onwards. My options are:
1. Upgrade to Unifi, RM179 before July. After July it will be RM199.
2. Do nothing, let the Streamyx get cancelled

Just wondering if anyone else out there got a similar call like this?
The number that called was 03 9212 7541
*
Ah, dont trust that phone call. It is a scam.
I contacted my sources brows.gif and apparently, TM received reports on some unscrupulous MAXIS/TM agents trying to TRICK users into cancelling their Streamyx and subscribe Unifi instead. More subscription = more $$ for them.

Streamyx TM Bill now changed to https://unifi.com.my/unifi-en/index.page
Anyone know where is the logout button?
*
Same place where you click Login before typing the ID/Password. Whoever design this should be reprimanded

My only concerned is they din't bother to even call us or email to us, or put at Pin-up, but there's pop-up announcement though, only after you done register the account in Unifi page......Seriously they din't even take it seriously, no auto merging but required you to register again...? Plus TM Rewards Point gone poof!  shocking.gif

The Streamyx User get treated like nothing, despite supported it more than 10 years  thumbsup.gif
*
My streamyx 5000+ tmreward points also gone.....and TM linked my unifi account to my dad TMReward account......which only has 161 points......

Supposely because this is an upgrade, TM should migrate my 5000+ points to my unifi account....

Mine is stable at 3.2-3.4Mbps with only 1 device using, no problem streaming YouTube at 1080p provided single device using all the bandwidth, I'm curious that whether should I make complain to get full 4Mbps but I afraid it will cause unstable connection where currently everything is alright.
*
3.2 to 3.4? Sound like TM capped the adsl speed at 4096 instead of 5120.

Yup, my data rate are always 409X for many n years, I tot that I'm getting 80% of my subscribed speed as mentioned in their 'best effort policy' is normal. Until I see many 4Mbps users getting 51XX data rate, I think I should lodge this issue to TM but how should I start with?

*
The adsl should be capped at 5196 after taking account of protocol overhead.
But as the other forumer said....your SNR and attenuation is quite bad. Increasing the adsl cap only serves to destabilize your dsl synchronization. Not much can be done.

Guys, is it just me or do you also get slow routing to US sites?

On my 8mb line i can get around 4Mbps to us testmy.net us servers

Its not something I notice until September recently.
Edit- stupid auto correct prefer IS to US.
*
So....Mr Terrorist wannabe..... tongue.gif

About your question, can you get 8Mbps on local server or you simply get 4Mbps on US server?
If it is the second case, know that our dear Asia-America Gateway broke again....

Only vietnam ISP reported it. This was few days ago.

Then last typhoon season in september

While browsing I stumble to this website.
On the comments section many people across the world comment about their ISP pricing and speed.

https://www.gbmb.org/mbps-to-mbs

Price per speed, Malaysia is really pathetic.
*
What do you expect..... sad.gif

My sister only pay SGD 37 for 1Gbps fiber at Singapore. Currency after conversion = RM115.
Meanwhile...In malaysia, we are paying RM179 or 199 for 30Mbps. cry.gif

Very good. Your SNR margin and line attenuation has optimal values.

His/her line attenuation is that high and you said it is good?
