I need some recommendations for wifi router modems. I heard that not all dsl modems support Streamyx 4mbps. That's why I'm asking for recommendations. Don't wanna salah buy

P.s. Usage: Small single storey house, so no need kencang modem

I've upgraded my 1mb to 4mb since January last year.
and after that I been having som problem when uploading stuff to the internet.

usually when I upload stuff I cannot surf any website.. all website will be hard to excess.
this is very frustrating becasue if I want to upload files that will takes 3-4 hrs means I cant
log into other website for 3-4hrs too T_T

also I used to stream my video on twitchtv and livestream when I had 1mb line and never has any problem.
but now I cant even stream anymore. all my game will get super high ping.

Yes. My area support 8MB but I didn't know if my Attenuation is good for 8MB or not so I picked 4MB first .

my connection is so laggy..just now, experienced limited connectivity for the millionth time. took a reset and a 15 minute to restore connection just to reply this comment

When anyone uploads anything, my whole internet goes down. Down as means... surfing the net with frequent PAGE CANNOT BE DISPLAYED and my ping to any IP address would go beyond 1000ms. Complain so many times to TM but they said i max out my bandwidth. What fcking reason is that

Fix for the router side? Cos even android devices that is uploading bringing down the net.

My internet connection always lost and the router had to reset anytime it lost connection,I am attached my router reading.any advice will be helpful thanks

Erm.. i am new streamyx user with 2 mbps package (no idea where the official thread for 2mbps) , may i know does streamyx throttle speed on torrents got specific time?

For example, maxis BB will not throttle download speed from 12am or 3 am to 7 am.

is't really got diff if using RM70 modem or RM170 or even RM270 modem in term of speed?

   

I just signed up my streamyx 4Mbps last Dec 2014.. Guess if I upgrade now, still worth it...
The guys told me for the upgrade streamyx to Unifi, there are no changes.. is that true? Scare will got hidden charges..

anyone knows why the phone cant use but the streamyx can online?

Guys, just upgraded to streamyx 4mbs from 1mbs. Been using Buffalo WBMR-HP-GN-AP router modem for a long time and now Telekom given me free Ridger router modem. Need opinion on which router modem is better?

I've been using streamyx 4mbps for around 2 years and suddenly started from last month, the average speed drop from normal 4000++kbps to less than 500kbps (result from TM speedtest)
I've had the technician to check and what he told me was 'parallel phone line problem'.
As I've have been using streamyx for 2 years therefore I don't think it has something to do with my phone lines. Also, the speed slow seems to happens very regularly, for a fixed period of time, like 6pm to 8pm etc. and never happens during the midnight.
Is there any diagnostics I can do to identify the real main problem?
