hello guys, i have a problem.. since upgrading to 4mbps last 2 weeks with no problem,
just my old modem needs replacing because all LAN port is kaput already and no warranty left from TM.
Then i bought new modem TP-Link wireless router, after i setup the modem according to the TM operators, it works.
BUT everyday in 6pm till midnight i got disconnection.. sometimes every 5 to 10mins frequently and sometimes 1 hour 2 times..
even after i reset the settings, and use my old modem again, the same thing happen..

does everyone know?

My sister's home in Seremban is using Streamyx 4Mbps. The residence area which is 1km away has UniFi ports but not her area. Anyway, her modem had issue and she just changed to a modem+router. Now the problem is it keeps disconnecting... Like every half an hour once or something.

What could be the cause? Earlier didn't have this problem, only with this new router. It is a TP Link TD-W8901N model. Already updated to the latest firmware and reset for gazillion times already.

The ADSL stats from modem status?

Since nobody is using telephone, we don't fix any telephone in the house.

anyone know how to speed up download for torrent? mine kinda slow  but if I download using IDM (1Gb file) quite fast

My streamyx now connected to ip address 172.*.*.*.
But the weird thing is cannot use internet. Both my hp and pc shows 'limited connection'. Any idea? It suddenly happened a few hours ago. Rebooting modem a few times, but nothing changes.

There is no way that I got the password wrong because it's saved in the modem (auto-connect) and nobody touched the setting in the last few hours.

hi guys, just got my streamyx today.
Is torrent blocked/certain time only? seems like I cant download torrent.
Any tips for torrent?

Guys, I had my 4mbps streamyx for almost 5 years now.(My area is Kuching, Sarawak).

The only problem I having now is everytime the weather gets hot (usually 11am to 5pm) the line will be so slow that I can't even use Facebook or Youtube. (0kbps to 30kbps). However, the ping to play dota 2 and other games are still bearable.

I can confirm this is a temperature-related problem as if it gets rainy during afternoon and evening, the speed is still as fast as it should be (+-400KBps).

Does anyone experience this problem too? If I call in 100 to check my wiring will they charge me? If yes, around how much they will charge?

Is there any other solution besides calling 100?

Guys..noob q here. If i want to change router from the given one, how do i set it up for streamyx? just connect the wires?

Hello, planned to subcribe streamyx and I have few questions .

1. Is it possible to downgrade from 8mbps to 1mbps while on contract ?

2. Should I request new cable or use the old one which over 15 years old ? Can I get better latency if request new cable ?

3.This Downstream Upstream (Kbps): ??? depends on server side setting or based on the cable itself ?

Can't request new if I already terminated both phone and streamyx service ?
