Yeah thats what the tm tech guy told me also which is now capped and 2mbps, and ask me to contact tm. So am i upgradable to 8mbps? Currently my place no unifi at all. Im no longer using them dy.

I called tm and they said package upgrades might take 3 to 7 days it seems. Just now i asked about 8mbps to the technician who came,he recommends to upgrade to 4mbps and claiming this place not supporting 8mbps. Sometimes i felt these people are really unsure of what they dealing with. Hope my upgrade will be done soon,and can get rid of astro hehe

Er... U all got problem loading YouTube videos at max speed or buffering when loading Facebook video? I got no problem downloading stuff at max speed 4mbps or stream iFlix and Netflix but i got problem watching in Youtube and Facebook. @_@

at my parents house now the internet keep dc... sometimes 2/3 times in 15 mins.... I checked the snr seems ok around 19-20 so I think probly the router... now using tp link wd 8968 thinking of buy a new router can you guys suggest me.

I just installed Streamyx 4Mbps today. Is it I should get a set top box for hypp tv? I only get a modem and dect phone.

Recently Maxis repented and apologised to their loyal customers for unfair practice of diff prices on broadband. They now give customers, new or old, same pricing.

Same with TM which offers rm88 4mbps to certain group of customers for the last few years. May be we can start a thread to ignite the anger of existing streamyx users regarding this so that prices would be standardised to rm88.

Thank you for the reply I already change my dns to google dns but not able to disable the ipv6 because the setting is hide from the wan setting I call 100 how to disable the ipv6  they also seems cant find the solution so they open report for me.modem model innacomm w3410n...its kinda hide didn't find in quick setup mode and the wan setting thr now waiting for the techinician ..some cable problem in my area also so they repairing it....midnight I didn't have any problem with youtube only daytime haiiish...hope will better soon

Recently my modem has been struck by lightning and replace with a new modem.
After done all the basic setup eg: enter username, password all of that.
There was difficultly connected to the internet and consistence line drop. The speed barely reaches 1MBps.

Is that any other configuration I need to do in the modem? because according to the TMnet technician, they need to configure the modem setting and charge some service fee.

Just now the technician call me and he said the modem is not provided by Streamyx therefore need to reconfigure the setting something like VPI/VPC which I do not understand and some of the configuration is crashed. What I did is just a normal quick setup by key in the username and password.

I feel kinda fishy because they charge RM60.00 to re-configure the modem that why I try to ask around first.

TM doesnt capped the speed on torrent for streamyx anymore ? since last week i got full speed for torrent without the need of VPN. hopefully it stay this way

Darn, the IPV6 setting is not being exposed. You must be using old firmware.

Oh well, if you only browse youtube on PC...... then we can simply disable IPV6 on OS level.

Please find my ADSL modem status about the ADSL status. SNR is above 20dB during good weather, raining storm will get around 12dB. I chose the ADSL type as G.dmt as it is the most stable compare to anything above than it.

The attainable rates for download shows 8Mbps and above, while upload is in between 1Mbps to 2Mbps, which are all correct. G.dmt support maximum 8Mbps download speed and 1Mbps upload speed.

I contacted TM Help through their email support and the agent replied to me that "8Mbps is not allowed" in my area, but my cousin who stay 4 houses away in the same street is running 4Mbps without issue, I helped him set the ADSL type to G.dmt as well and my cousin feedback the line is much stable compare to ADSL2+.

My home is currently running with 1Mbps package. Thinking to upgrade 4Mbps or better. No fiber optic option for us as we are all living in old landed properties.

Anyone who facing issue with frequent disconnect with higher bandwidth, might try setting your model ADSL type from ADLS2+ to G.dmt, you might see SNR rate increase in the next few days.

My setting is ipv6 and 1pv4 enabled. no need to worry about loading any website

Since last month mine wasn't been throttle anymore. full speed torrent all the way, i thought i was lucky with some IP adress which didn't get throttle so i tried to reset the router and see.. still full speed. hope it stays this way until unifi come in next month.

u r lucky guy. me not so lucky already throttle at least half decade.pity.nite streaming lousy like hell.private ip suck.have to figure out way.at  last have way to circumvent streamyx hard throttle.youtube, torrent, website.still full speed man till now, all website streaming not only youtube.

I use two method and compare. vpn still lose coz have restriction on some protocol.My method no fix protocol. go through like that. Even xunlei full speed...haha.satisfy already.

i many complaint for unstable yesterday tm technical come 4pm i did ask did port changed they told me changed Port
now my cap 5120kbps i get path mode from 'fast'
i am happy no longer interleaved
my ping lower no more high
