I just subscribed to 4Mbps pack. I got steady download of 1.7Mbps all night long yesterday and upload 0.45Mbps with 18ms ping. Is it normal? Or the technician wrongly turn my port to 2Mbps?

Finally... I managed to get back my 4Mbps packages speed...
Called to follow up 3 days, now only resolve the issues..
Dunno why suddenly they capped my speed to 2Mbps for what purpose? Tipu customer?

ur dsl is still hard capped at 2048

you need to called them , it should be 4096-5120

What does the number 4096-5120 means? Download and Upload?

They will do configuration remotely or I can do it manually at router?

Update: called 100, they have done the configuration, asked me turn off modem for 15 sec and then reboot. Will try later coz still in office.

it is download rate, upload is 384kbps only for 1Mbps - 4Mbps packages

is the dsl sync profile at their DSLAM

currently your account is 4Mbps enabled, but the phone line u are using for streamyx is still rated 2048kbps at their DSLAM, nothing u can do but to call them, inform them ur speed still 2mbps


you can check ur dsl rate under ur modem DSL status


these are the rates normally TM set
Upload all 45kB/s max except hard capped at 634kbps

1024 512 - 1mbps = 0.8-1.0Mbps 100-120kB/s
1536 512 - 1mbps = 1.0-1.3Mbps 120-169kB/s
2048 512 - 1 or 2mbps = 1.0-1.3Mbps 120-169kB/s 1.8Mbps 225kB/s
4096 512 - 4mbps = 3.6-3.8Mbps 450-475kB/s
5120 512 - 4mbps = 4.0-4.5Mbps 500-565kB/s
5120 634 - 4mbps = 4.0-4.5Mbps 500-565kB/s (upload 40-75kB/s)
<10240 634 (for 8mbps) most user claimed can up to 1MB/s (me not sure, never have chance tested b4)

Yeah, they will do something to your port, will request you to reboot modem for resync your dsl for updated hard capped speed

BTW, here's my modem status. The line is stable but just the line is capped at 2Mbps.

My first day installation was 4Mbps.. on 2nd day it was capped to 2Mbps..
I guess this is the trick TM cheat customer which do not know IT well... (I guess?)
Pay for 4Mbps and only give you 2Mbps..

I called them every day and check for the status..
After 3 days it was fixed now.. finally...
I still monitor my speed everyday now...

I wouldn't say this is purposely cheating. Configuration error more likely. As I managed to call the Streamyx Installer and he explained that he already done the necessary configuration but the server is down in my area lel

may i knw wat's the best setting for the Dynamic Route for the streamyx 4Mbps? there's RIP1, RIP2-B & RIP2-M...

hi.im planning to subscribe streamyx 4mb with free tablet.got question to ask u guys since im new with 4mb speed.

1. is it p2p/torrent download speed throttled?
2. what is max download speed?
3. any issue playing HD content 720p?less buffering or alway buffering?

fyi..im on minix neo x8h android tv box streaming SD and HD content and usually like to torrent.

I need some tips here.
This my Streamyx 4Mbps speed :

I really love if they capped at 6Mbps downlink

Back to the topic, I can download files full speed without any throttling. But everytime streaming it will buffer and do not use the full potential 4Mbps I monitored this using NetWorx. Only downloading use full speed.

If streaming youtube, refreshing few times with Auto HD plugin will help. But for other streaming site mainly Crunchyroll..it is really slow. I try paid VPN..result still same. Anyone have any tips to fix the streaming? Unifi streaming works fine but streamyx

Does SSH injection works fine like proxifier?

See Data Rate value there. It's in kbps value.

Update: Mine is fixed by Mr. Kumar liao, the installer. Nice chap.
